If you are looking for a friends to lovers story, this is sure to satisfy that itch.

When Chelsea returns home she will have six weeks to prove herself and be more assertive to get what she wants. What will happen when her feelings for her best friend only get hotter the longer she stays in town? This time around being roommates and hanging out will stir feelings that could jeopardize their friendship.

Liam Roth is focused on his future working to train, win, and continue the family legacy. When his best friend returns to town he offers her a place to stay so she doesn't have to deal with her family. Now they will have plenty of time to catch up, hang out, and do all the things they used to do. There's only one tiny hiccup, they're older, wiser, and absolutely attracted to each other.

The chemistry, tension, and slow burn is smokin' hot. The build-up to their discovery of feelings is scorchin and the layers of adulting and choices to be made will challenge them both. In order to be more assertive Chelsea will need to gain the confidence to speak up and demand what she wants. Will she finally find the courage to stand up to her mom? Will Liam admit to his family how he really feels?

Just when you think the story will tie all the loose strings up neat and easy, there are choices to be made. Who will sacrifice their career? Can they both have it all?

This best friends to lovers, forced proximity, MMA romance is hot, fun, full of banter, and wraps up with an ending that is satisfying.

I really enjoyed this book and the characters. It was a friends to lovers story that had a nice sizzle between the main characters as well as interesting sub-characters. The story was a bit draggy in areas, but still it was a very enjoyable read.

I received a copy of this book for a fair and honest review. This is a sweet friends to lovers read. Chelsea is back in town for her job and Liam is MMA fighter who is just trying to keep his family's business afloat. They are both fighting what they are feeling for each other. The characters were well done and the story has a good enjoyable pace to it. Makes me want to read more by this author.

Chelsea was finally back where she belonged. Liam hated to,admit without his best friend by his die he had been a wreck for 6 months. Keeping his families legacy alive and training was all he had time for. Since Chelsea has moved in and become his temporary roomie he feels all those lingering feelings rise to the surface again. Two people who couldn’t be more right for each other but were hesitant to take their relationship to the next level. Each experience brought them closer together and they finally knew they couldn’t live without the other.

A well-written friends-to-lovers story, we get to see how long Chelsea and Liam have been friends and how their friendship brings about the balance they each need in their lives. They've been friends long enough to know each other's strengths, weaknesses and flaws and accept it all. There's one defining moment that alters their long friendship and has Chelsea leaving. I couldn't wait to see how things would be between them once she went back home.

“Friends to lovers” is always a great trope, if explored to its fullest. Cindi Madsen does a good job in “Until We’re More”, creating a beautiful friendship that our main characters are afraid to ruin.

Chelsea and Liam have been best friends for a long long time. She is the only person he feels comfortable with, he is he only guy she can feel herself with, the guy who puts up with her love of books and her family’s complicated issues. However, one moment between them changes everything and she decides to put distance between them. Chelsea returns after 6 month away from home, willing to build her career and change her personality. Can Liam keep his emotions in check? Are they able to stick to the friends zone? You’ve already figured the answer to these questions, but the steps they take are interesting and even funny.

I like how comfortable their relationship feels and how they see each other’s flaws or particularities and accept them, no questions asked. Liam is not much of a talker, but Chelsea manages to get more than one word out of him. She is lacking self-confidence, but with a little help from him, she will manage to build it.

There are good things about this book, but also many that were not as much to my taste. I did not feel the relationship between the main characters and their friends and family. They felt like being thrown in there and I did not feel the substance. Also, these particularities of the main characters feel a little contradictory. He is shy, but I didn’t feel this from his interactions with others. True, there is not much dialogue with other characters. She is not very imposing, but I didn’t get that part, except in her professional career. I don’t know, I just didn’t feel it.

As for the writing, I would have preferred to see a bigger difference between the chapters from Chelsea’s perspective and the ones from Liam’s. The plot is great, but the family aspect that she has to deal with is not well defined from my point of view.

All in all, it was an enjoyable read. Granted, I would have preferred much more, but I liked it nonetheless. For now, I am going with 3 out of five stars and my love for the author :) She has many amazing books and many I still need to go through.

***I received an e-copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. Thank you to NetGalley, Entangled and Cindi Madsen.**

3.5 stars

Until We're More, by Cindi Madsen, is a friends-to-lovers story. Liam’s been a bit lost since his best friend Chelsea moved across the country for a job. He’d urged her to do just that. Now that job has brought her back to his hometown for 6 weeks, and he invites Chelsea to stay with him. He doesn’t understand why he suddenly feels so attracted to his best friend, and it seems like she feels the same way. The problem is that getting involved could ruin their friendship, and the last time he was training for the MMA championship, he let himself be distracted. He has to keep his eye on the prize.

I’m a fan of Cindi Madsen’s books, but this one was just ok for me. I certainly didn’t fall in love with the characters or the story. I think for me the balance of this book was just a bit off. There was a lot of setup that I personally found boring. The book was two thirds done before the couple even got together. The plot was more predictable than I would have liked. I knew from the start that his parents would play a part in the couple’s breakup. Liam’s mother’s advice was out of left field and felt really ingenuine to me. I liked Liam’s family though, especially contrasted with Chelsea’s mother. The parts of the book with Chelsea’s family made her look weak and I didn’t understand why they were included. More than anything though, I hated that she was written as a gorgeous klutzy virgin. I’m just kind of over that characterization, especially the klutzy part. It made it really hard for me to relate to her or admire her.

This book wasn’t my favourite Madsen book. It needed a little more punch, less setup, and less time inside the character’s heads.

Wow!! I know I’ve probably said this before Cindi Madsen and if I haven’t then I should have but this book “until we’re more” is definitely your best, hottest, omg worthy story so far by you. I absolutely loved every minute of reading this book and I definitely will be reading again and again. One of the best books I’ve read in 2018. I would absolutely and definitely recommend this book to all book lovers out there

Chelsea and Liam’s friends to something more is a sweet book, a little slow paced and if you are looking for heat well you have to wait until the end. Chelsea’s parents are awful people and but George the cat is awesome! Liam is so protective over Chelsea that this relationship between them has always been there just can they take the next step and risk the friendship for something more? At the bookstore I can imagine how funny it must have been to have Liam, the MMA fighter going all alpha on this random guy that Chelsea is talking to. What a scene... It was great to see their relationship develop over the course of this book, but it was slow and at times I just wanted to fast forward and get them together.

I received an e-arc of Until We're More by Cindi Madsen from the publisher in exchange for an honest review. This has in no way influenced my thoughts and feelings about the book. Until We're Mine is the second book in the 'Fighting for Her' series, but can read as a standalone. You can check out my review of Until You're Mine now.

Until We're More by Cindi Madsen follows protagonist Chelsea and Liam, best friends that have drifted away when Chelsea left town. Now she's back and old feelings are coming to the surface. Liam has tried to stay away from Chelsea, tried not to have ties with her. But now that she is back, it's getting harder and harder to stay away. They both want to strive in their careers, but with each other around it's hard to stay focused.

I really enjoyed Chelsea as the main female protagonist of the book. She was really easy to get along with and I just wanted to give her a big hug so many times. I adored that Chelsea was so determined and pushed herself for her work. I've said this before, but sometimes it's rare to see female characters really striving to move up in their workplace. I enjoyed seeing that Chelsea struggled with finding a place and a voice where she worked. I was really able to connect with that - a lot.

Liam - I'm intrigued by Liam when I read about him in the first book. And he really shines in Until We're More. Liam is not only trying to win the belt title, but it will cement his family business. The reader is able to tell from the start that he wants to find himself in the world of MMA.  Like Chelsea, he wants to focus on what he wants to do with his life. But what he doesn't expect is for Chelsea to have such a presence. Liam is also really easy to read, he isn't a dickhead and I can fall into his voice really easily and doesn't blend in with Chelsea or any other characters. In saying that, there are times where Liam, just got on my nerves, especially relating to his feelings for Chelsea.

The romance in Until We're More, was totally my thing. This best friend to lovers romance just hit me in all the right places and I feel completely in love with it. The romance did take quite a while to kick off, not going to lie. It was very slow burning for a romance novel, but I understood why. There were a lot of things standing in their way. One of my favourite romance tropes is friends to lovers and I think that Cindi Madsen did it so well. There are times when I wanted to give both Liam and Chelsea kicks up the butt.

The notion of friends and family is yet another big theme in Until We're More. I think that Cindi does an excellent job with these themes and that can really be seen in this one. Liam's family isn't the best, but the reader is able to see them all trying. Trying for each other. Chelsea's on the other hand - can they just no be there? I hated them with a passion.

If you've read Angel Reads for a while now, you would know that I love sports romances. And while MMA is something that I know nothing about, it was great falling into the world of professional fighting. I can't wait to read more books dealing with these types of sport.

Overall, Until We're More by Cindi Madsen was a great read. I adored the romance and the protagonists are really easy to get along with. The reader is able to drive straight into the world of Chelsea and Liam and know how they think and feel. The voices are authentic and easy to love. While there are ups, downs and many miscommunications between the pair, Until We're More is a really enjoyable read. If you are looking for an easy, romance read then this one is for you.

***Thanks to the publisher for letting me have an ARC***

I love friends to lovers stories so I was excited to read this. The main characters were great and I loved the story but I wish it hadn’t taken them so long to get together. Nothing seemed to happen in the book for ages until they were finally a couple. I would have liked Chelsea to stand up to her mother. I would read the author’s books again.

Until We’re More is about Chelsea and Liam who’ve been best friends for such a long time and finally see each other again since Chelsea left for work. They’re both been in love with each other even though the other doesn’t know about it and it doesn’t really help when Chelsea moves in with Liam for her little holiday back in town.

Until We’re More was yet another amazing book by Cindi Madsen. I was reading late at night and then suddenly my iPod’s battery died and I didn’t have my charger with me, so I had to stop reading. That was one of the suckiest moments ever because I didn’t want to stop! If my battery didn’t die, I probably would’ve finished the book the same night as I started reading it.

I really love the characters and the world that Cindi created. It is so cool to read about MMA so I really liked the concept of this book. Chelsea is such a loveable character and I can totally see myself in her, I mean I’m not that daring/assertive and I love reading!

Cindi Madsen did it again and I think she’s becoming one of my favourite New Adult/Romance authors!!!

Madsen perfectly captures Liam and Chelsea’s conflict. They both are struggling with their attraction but their friendship is so massively important that just the thought of endangering that is unthinkable. And she makes sure that readers get that – we understand how they support each other and how they suffered with the recent distance in their relationship. But sometimes things are bigger than you can control and even though it takes a while they finally give in … and it is wonderful. For a while :)

As is probably evident, there is a bit of back and forth here that might get old for some readers but for me Madsen uses it to really bring home how important this decision is for them. It would normally bother me, and I did want to smack them (especially Liam) more than once, but it works for this story. So while it may be a slow burn romance, Madsen makes sure that the journey is full of humor, cuteness, and touching moments to keep readers going. Before she turns on the steam!

Cindi Madsen falls into the world of MMA as her hero awakens to unexpected love. Chelsea's unrequited feelings for her best friend drove her to another state, but the opportunity to go back home and work for a short time puts her back in proximity to Liam. While sharing his home the two come closer to discovering the joys they missed while not willing to step out of the friend zone. I loved the concept of the story, but the execution made the plot seem too easy. There was much standing in between Liam and Chelsea except for terrible communication. I would've like to see something a bit deeper from the characters, because it just seemed obvious when they would get together or when they would argue over a misunderstanding.

Until We're More is the second story in the Fighting for Her series, and it definitely works as a standalone. Don't worry if you haven't read the first story, it doesn't impact understanding the relationships in this story.

I thought this was a pretty good read. The writing flowed well, and I liked the characters for the most part. Liam and Chelsea were good together, and I thought they had great chemistry. While I love a friends to lovers book, this one too entirely too long to go from one to the other. Their thoughts being "I want them, but can't have them" lasted for almost half of the book. It eventually had me rolling my eyes. Chelsea was supposed to be learning to be assertive, but she never really stood up to her mom. Setting boundaries is okay, but she should have let her know how much she'd been hurt over the years. I was not a fan of Liam's mom. For her to make her opinion known about Liam and Chelsea's relationship when she hasn't been in his life pretty much since she left, was unnecessary. Just because she didn't want to have that life doesn't mean that someone else couldn't try. I loved Liam's close family, they were great. The end was perfect for these characters.
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book.
