This starts out very slow but picks up in a pretty fast pace. It was nice to get back in touch with the wonderful characters from book one. I really feel you should read book 1 or you might feel a little lost. This was a very good drama filled, alpha, with a little mystery, a few twists you won’t see, as well such pain and sorrow. I really enjoyed the mystery, the action, thrills, working out the puzzle of who or what. Heidi has come far with her writing as you can tell if you had read her very first book which climbed the rating in a fast pace. It is still setting at a wonderful rating even after a year. Here second book did wonderful as well.
After Defying my fate, I immediately started on Sealing my fate. After Izzy's terrifying story, I wanted to read from Kara's perspective. Being the one, who shot her brother, she has trouble with her conscience. Constant nightly terrors are keeping her up. Although Liam (Braxton's best friend and Eve's uncle) is trying to console her, she has difficulties with coming to grips with her deed. And then strange things are happening. Scary things. It almost seems as if her brother is still alive. And then an unexpected visitor makes himself known... What does he have to do with the past? And are your friends really your friends?
Find out more in this story full of suspense. Four out of five stars from me and a special thank you to Netgalley for providing the arc.
Sealing My Fate didn't start out as fast paced, to me, as book 1 in the series did. I felt like the back story on the character kind of slowed up the flow of the book. However, it was nice to get a history on the main characters!
I really enjoyed the mystery and the action throughout the book. It kept me wanting to read it for sure. Definitely read book 1 before picking up this one, because the storylines are connected and it will make so much more sense.
I can't wait for book 3.
