I was surprised by all the 5 star reviews, not that it was bad it wasn't but it wasn't fantastic. I liked Audra and respected her, I wish she would have found another love interest, I know I know I am being to harsh on Carter. Why? Well so I get it he has a bad experience with a woman, got it she burned you, so now you are reluctant to start with someone else I just saw as a big baby, get over it dude. When Audra needed him, what does he do go get drunk to forget her instead of finding out all the answers immediately. Audra went thru hell and she should have someone who would stick by her, yes eventually it was Carter but I think she deserved more..
I was grateful to receive a free copy of Cowboy on my Porch in exchange for an honest review. It's been awhile since I've read such a good book. Once I started, I couldn't stop reading. The author did a great job developing a relationship between Carter and Audra, and did not rush" the relationship like many authors tend to do. Audra's past kept the plot interesting, but it wasn't "overdone." This was an easy, "feel good" read, and I would definitely recommend it to friends and family.
Audra and Carter's romance story. Enjoyed this one, and it is the first I've read by this author, but will not be my last. Audra is running away from an abusive ex, and Carter provides a safety area for her to work and live. A little creepy, when the book jumps to the ex and his thoughts, although it helps to show why Audra ran from him. Overall, a good read, and one I highly recommend.
Great story line and characters, Awesome !! Loved this book. The storyline was so interesting that it had me turning pages in anticipation of where it would lead . I was very intrigued with the characters in the story. Simply awesome . Definitely recommend this book to anyone looking for a great read. I would recommend to others. Worth the read and the money!
"I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book."
This is my first book by Pam Mantovani.

I had a hard time staying interested in this book.
I received an arc from Netgalley. This was truly an endearing love story. Both Audra and Carter have painful pasts but learning to trust and love again is the center of this story.
An abusive relationship is what Audra is running from but when she meets the strong and silent Carter she finds the will to overcome her fear of relationships.
This was definitely a five star read.
Pam Mantovani’s Cowboy on Her Porch was my first read by this author and a good story, with engaging characters and an interesting storyline. There are moments of tension, unrealistic expectations, and an undeniable chemistry between Audra and Carter. I really enjoyed this book, and look forward to reading more by this author.
