Samantha Harman a princess from South Africa works on her father through her mother to let her go to the U.S. to visit her college friend in Arizona. The father finally agrees after she says yes to an arranged marriage, he wants her to do.
Arriving in Arizona she first meets Cody when arriving at the front of the road to their ranch. Cody knew that his sister is having a college friend over is upset because he thinks that she will only get in his way of running the ranch. When days go by and he figures out that she likes the ranch and horse as much as he does the attraction starts to build. This only makes everything they are doing more intense and believe me it does become more intense. She does not want to leave but her time is up and she goes back to South Africa. Cody has a decision if he wants to chase the girl, he must leave the ranch and go to her country. Will he do it or not? Read this very good book and find out.
This story about sassy somewhat sheltered Samantha and Cowboy Cody is interesting and enjoyable. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a nod to an older style romance novels.
A new to me author Daredevil's Mistress by Charlene Namdhari. A spicy storyline that once I started reading it I couldn't put it down until I finished. A good storyline with likable characters. I look forward to checking out more of the author's books.
I loved this story it was not your normal cowboy book. The characters are all solid and there is a lot of humor mistakes and love. You'll get into it and can't put it down. If your looking for a great love story have fun.
This book was a good fast read. The characters were all entertaining, you had love, friendship, alpha male, family drama. All of it in one book.
I received a free copy of Daredevil's Mistress in exchange for an honest review. I loved the cover of this book, and couldn't wait to get started.
The story was a little slow in the beginning, but it was worth the wait. The plot began to "pick up," and I found myself liking both Samantha and even Cody.
Overall this was an average read.
I received an arc from Netgalley. This book was an amazing read. The tug of war relationship between Cody and Sam kept you on your toes. Sam the fire to Cody’s ice is a good comparison of their relationship.
Definitely a book you want on your summer reading list.
Samantha Harman is a pampered princess. Longing to have some freedom she must persuade her over protective father to allow her to travel on her own to visit her college friend. Her father only agrees if Samantha will consent to an arranged marriage on her return to South Africa.
Cody Bentley keeps tight control of his family and his ranch. He has no time for women after too many bad experiences. When his sister’s friend storms into his life he doesn’t know whether to run away or toward her.
The two battle their feelings for each other but with so many obstacles can they be together?
This was an enjoyable read and while I found the chauvinistic aspects of the male characters to be heavy, they become more tolerable as you read on. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a feisty woman discovering herself.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advance copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own. For more reviews please visit my blog:
