A quick rom-com!
Molly's not looking for a relationship because after school, she's going to Paris to work at her dream job. But when she meets Evan, she may have to re-think her dreams.
This is a quick read that is cute and the steamy scenes are ... well ... WOW! I only wish that it would have been longer and gotten more into Evan and his being a rock star.
I received a copy courtesy of Backlit PR through NetGalley in exchange for a honest review.
Molly Ivers thought she found Prince Charming, but without a devilishly sexy accent, and six months ago she gave into their undeniable attraction. But the swarm of ever-present groupies was so not part of the fairy tale. As much as it hurt her heart, she shut out rocker Evan Castle.
This was a really fun story. I really liked the main characters. The story flowed well and I read through it pretty quickly. I look forward to reading more from this author. I recommend.
**I voluntarily read and reviewed this book
Melt-your-kindle hot! Such a fun, sexy novella--entertaining and funny!
Many thanks to NetGalley, the publisher, and the author for my ARC. All opinions are my own.
This book was just a little too off for me. I look forward to reading other books by this author, however, this one just didn't work for me
This was a really fun read. A romance between Evan and Molly has been simmering for some time. Evan is a gorgeous rockstar and a genuinely nice person. Six months ago she had given him her virginity which he treasures but even though it his feelings for her are obvious she refuses to get into a relationship with him because of all the groupies around him.
Enter Jean-Luc who makes her an offer she can't refuse, he is a life coach and offers to help her for free. Molly has been offered a job in Paris and needs to brush up on her French. Jean-Luc recommends Evan (without knowing that Molly and Evan have already met) to tutor her.
I think that this story is really about growing and learning to trust, gaining confidence in yourself and not being afraid to follow your heart. Molly had formed an impression of Evan at the outset which she felt was reinforced when she saw him with the groupies and it was really hard for her to realise that Evan was nothing like the person she had imagined. Once she started to trust and believe in him she was able to accept that she was deserving of all the love he had for her.
I really recommend this book, the author is new to me but I would love to read more from her.
Thanks to the publisher for a copy to read and give my honest opinion.
This was one of those quirky romances that just grabs your heart. Flip the beat is a no holds barred toward a forever HEA, with a sexy rocker God with more than meets the eye goodness. Instead of portraying the guy as a total player, Evan Castle has sustenance as she gives him her virginity.
What did I like? Evan was an absolute hottie with all the bells and whistles. Molly gives him a precious gift and it overwhelms him which was lovely. The chemistry was super nova, and the storyline was fun.
Would I buy this book? Yes, loved it. Recommend it to any romance lovers.
Words for the author.... this was my first read from this author and I would definitely read more by her. Lovely story, aptly kept my attention all through my flights to Texas.
Molly have always been attracted to Evan but sees him as a player. Evan wants a second chance with Molly and is determined to win her heart. Misconceptions and insecurities challenges their relationship. Molly discovers that Evan isn't want he appears to be and discovers love. Sweet read
Flip the Beat, it's a short book and well written. I did cringe a few times though, we get right into it in the first paragraph with cock and sex talk. - which is fine with me, I love a good bit of smut. I find myself feeling embarrassed for Molly when she whispers to Evan that she's a virgin just as they are about to have sex. Surely if you are going to have sex for the first time this is a topic that is talked about before hand? The way it was put in the book led me to believe that this was supposed to be some sorta turn on to Evan?? - It's not, it's a mood killer, and show too much vulnerability. - But it's ok though, because she barely felt it, he made her wet enough and his cock was a perfect fit for her vagina. - She told us. Evan also mentions to Molly that her virginity is a precious gift and asks why she's giving it to him. ...
What the hell happened to our strong women?!?!
A fast paced erotica romance with a slight fairy tale ending. I think the novel was a little too fast with the storyline and the characters. Molly hires a life coach--Jean-Luc but we only hear about him/from him four times and he really doesn't add too much or contribute to the changes that Molly wants to make except help Molly buy a new wardrobe and a make-over. He does fulfill a fairy godmother type of role but his character needs more depth. There are many inferences to fairy tales throughout the novella. There are more sex scenes than plot line scenes. The ending doesn't seem fitting to Evan's character.
Molly is on the verge of finishing graduate school and will be leaving for Paris soon for an internship. Six months ago, she cashed in her v-card to her hot rocker neighbor two floors down, Evan Castle. Molly couldn't handle the numerous groupies constantly following Evan. It made her insecure. That is why she broke up with Evan shortly after they started.
Evan has always been intrigued by his quiet neighbor, Molly even more so when she gifted him with her virginity. He is constantly going to her apartment to borrow food as an excuse to see her. He can't get rid of the groupies but he hasn't been with anyone since Molly. She is all he ever thinks about.
How can they be together when she is leaving in two months for Paris? Why can't she stay away from the struggling rocker when her dream man is within her reach?
I loved this book with the well written storyline. A quick and lovely read, full of passion and hot moments!
I absolutely adored Molly and Evan. It is a very well balanced book with plenty of hot smexy times, great character growth and a very plausible plot that is also realistic!
Can't wait to read more from this author!
Thisis my first book by the author and it was just not what I expected. There are TONS of sex scenes and a very loose plot but lots and lots of sex scenes. It is also fairly short and in the first person,so we never hear Evan's side of things.
Molly and Evan are neighbors. On the night they met six months before they have sex, then she realises he is a musician and has groupies so she distances herself from him and ends up with a new boyfriend right away. They stayed friendly and when she is single again Evan wants her to give him a real shot.
This is a young adult story, Evan and Molly are seniors in college. And as I mentioned it is a novella size story. It is told by Molly only and she is one hot mess, is prob the kindest thing I can say about her, Why Evan wants her I have no clue.
