This was a very interesting read- different from anything I have read before.. The authors keep you guessing until the very last page. I would highly recommend fans of psychological thrillers addison this to their to read list!

When I first read the synopsis of this novel I wanted to get my hands on this book ASAP. This book took me on the biggest and most thrilling ride ever! These were the best 384 pages I have ever read, literally. Matter of fact, one of the best thrillers that I have had the pleasure of reading and one of the best books I have read this year. This book really lived up to the hype that it was getting and I’m pretty sure that this book is about to be a really big hit in the future. All I have to say is that readers better buckle up to read this new and exciting new novel that comes out in January because it’s going to take them on a good and bumpy ride.

One of the best qualities about this book was the writing, the writers of this novel made you actually feel like you were right there witnessing all this drama unfold right before your eyes. The characters were so wonderfully written that you felt sympathy for them and felt like you actually knew them in some weird way. When I finished this novel, I was surprisingly distraught because I didn’t want this novel to end. In other words, I wanted more because the book was so good. Literally, this novel had the most memorable characters out there in the thrilling genre. You could actually feel the regret and guilt that Jess was feeling, the anger and the jealousy that Dr. Shields was dealing with, and the fear that Thomas was feeling as well. With these wonderful characters, this book will take readers all over on an emotional ride. If I didn’t have to work and go to school I think I would have read this book in one day.

Another thing that I loved about this book was the suspense that it contained. Because the writing was so good, the suspense was remarkable and popping. I have never read a thriller or a novel with so much suspense that had me at the edge of my seat. Even though this novel builds up there is still this suspense that goes on that keeps you reading the novel. Also, the twists in this novel were shocking and unpredictable, I tried to guess sometimes but I always was proven wrong. Most importantly, readers will walk away from this novel feeling satisfied that it ended the way it did because it was the perfect ending to the perfect story. I really can’t praise this book even more, everyone will fairly enjoy this novel and I will recommend this novel one thousand percent. In fact, I have a confession, I thought that no other thriller this year would have topped Stephen King’s, The Outsider, but this one def. past it and that is a lot to say. Please, when this novel comes out in January go run to Barnes and Nobles or your nearest book store because this book will shock, fascinated, and entertain you. Now I’m just waiting for my copy of The Wife Between Us to get here because I want to continue reading books made by these two excellent writers.

I had read Greer Hendricks and Sarah Pekkanen's recent novel "The Wife Between Us" and really enjoyed it, so was looking forward to picking up this book. The latest book is an interesting take on a thriller, it's definitely unique compared to other novels in this genre. I enjoyed the novel, the plot was fast paced enough to hold your attention, and there were various twists and turns that kept you on your toes. The only thing I couldn't really relate to, was that I wouldn't have made any of the choices that the main character made that got her into her situation, but regardless you could still understand what she was going through

Pekkanen and Hendricks are amazing at spinning a psychological thriller. I have to say this books plot is almost terrifying and extremely realistic. I was completely absorbed in the story and characters. I look to their future books and will highly recommend their books for fans of thriller fiction.

When her decision to participate in a paid psychological study goes awry, Jess finds herself wondering exactly what she has gotten herself into and who she is dealing with.

I could not wait to get into this book and I am so glad I decided to read it. This was one of the best psychological thrillers I have read in a long time. The writing pulled me in from the first page. It kept me on the edge of my seat and I could not put it down. This is the kind of book to just curl up with on a crappy day and lose yourself in. Highly recommend!

Unlike many books that drag the suspense out to the point of tedium in pursuit of Gone Girl fame, this An Anonymous girl is refreshingly different. It reveals it's secrets like breadcrumbs, so that with each twist you think you know what is where the story is headed. But how can you know what's going on when none of the main characters is fully in charge of the circumstances?

Jess inadvertently hears about a psychological study on ethics and morality. She wasn't supposed to be in the study, but winds up being of special interest to the therapist conducting the questionnaire, a very sophisticated and beautiful Dr. Lydia Shields. As Jess is tested via some questionable "in the field" experiments, we see her struggle with ongoing doubts about continuing in the study, Dr. Shield's third person account of her perceptions about Jess start to set off warning bells with the reader as we see the depth of her manipulation.

Enter Thomas, Lydia's husband, and the plot, as they say, thickens. (No spoilers here!)

An Anonymous Girl was a wonderful example of how a book needs no scary monsters, screams in the night or dark strangers to be one of the most thrilling books you'll read this year!

This book revolves around Jess, who overhears a make-up client talk about a "study" that will pay $500 to be a subject. The client doesn't go, but Jess goes in her place. Unbeknownst to Jess, the woman in charge of the study, is using subjects in a way that they are not expecting.

I don't want to say much more, because it would give away some of the twists and turns that kept me up all night reading! I enjoyed this book and would recommend to those that love books like Gone Girl and Girl on a Train.

This novel had a lot going for it – good premise, good timing, good story line and strong sinister evil witch! It definitely kept me turning pages! Even though the ending wrapped everything up nicely, it was a let down.

This plotting delved into both trendy areas in chick-lit of “lies” and “secrets.” Thankfully, our heroine was a bit more savvy than most in today’s pop literature, but really not any more likable. In fact the only likable person in the whole book was Noah and, thankfully, he had the smarts to make his exit!

Dysfunction – toxic relationships – one night stands are the themes here. Oh and of course, our characters have incredible beauty along with unlimited wealth, the hallmarks of chick-lit.

For me, 3 stars is generous, but I can certainly understand this novel’s appeal to others.

People are going to eat this book up. It’s going to fly off shelves. It’s original, suspenseful, interesting and I blazed through it. The book is filled with small, subtle twists that kept my jaw dropping. I recommend going in blind - enjoy!

There is an enormous glut of psychological thrillers whose plots are becoming tropes: "gone girls", "girls with bad memories" "unreliable narrators"...and I'm absolutely thrilled to say that this book is NOT ONE OF THEM. This book is a fascinating exploration of the degree of flexibility in everyone's morality and the way these flexions create a ripple effect on vulnerable and dominant personalities alike. This is one of those books you'll be staying up all night to finish.

If you've been tiring of the thriller genre due to the repetitive and stereotypical plots, this novel will re-engage and make you appreciate the genre again.

Oh wow! It's a rare book where I truly can't guess how it ends and who we can/can't trust. This was such a story. It kept me on the edge of my seat from page one. Absolutely fantastic story. I hesitated to request this book as I was not blown away by Hendricks and Pekkanen's first try as a writing duo. That being said, I am glad I did end up requesting it. It kept me gripped from the very start and I could not wait to see where it would end up. This read was definitely a twisty, psychological dive into a couple's marriage and the girl who gets caught in the middle by showing up randomly to participate in a morality study. Truth, lies, fidelity, relationships are all explored.and the best part is, the craziest person is the one you would least suspect (though is does become apparent fairly early on). This wasn't so much the unraveling of a mystery as it was simply a fast paced ride with lots of twists and turns to the end. I enjoyed seeing how everything turned out for each character and look forward to the authors' next collaboration.

Just finished reading this one, I was excited to read this as I loved the wife between us - this book didn't grip me as much as their previous book, I expected twists that werent there and it felt in places like it was being dragged out a little. I did enjoy it though and it is worth a read

Where to begin...The morality test? The lies? The secrets? The truth? Is the good person really the bad person or the bad person really the good person? Is anyone good?

The writing was fantastic, more twists and turns then a mountain side drive in Italy.. I loved it. The ending was not ideal in my opinion, but the first 90 percent was so amazing I could not in good conscience rate this book lower then 5 stars. The main characters are not very likeable, for sure, but do they have your empathy? In my case, they did. The best thing about this book is the authors descriptions of the characters--they are so spot on.. I feel like I could easily pick Jess or Dr. Shields out of a crowd (and then run in the opposite direction as soon as I caught their eye). At times, I felt there was too much going on, some wrenches thrown into my original thoughts about what the heck was actually happening but not enough to deter me from really enjoying this book. I highly recommend to anyone who loved Greer Hendricks first book, The Wife Between Us.
