So cute, first time reading a Little Pierrot book. I really liked the pictures.
Little Pierrot has a snail for a friend, and a crush on a girl named Emily.

This was my first time reading a Little Pierrot book. I really liked the pictures. I thought the character was adorable. I love his little sidekick. It was a cute story.
Super sweet little book. It’s not a story but a montage of scenes about Little Pierrot, his snail friend and the girl he is in love with, Emily. Each page is a view into Pierrot’s world.
The artwork is absolutely stunning – the color, detail and artistry are amazing.
Thank you NetGalley and publishers, Diamond book Distributors with Lion Forge, for the opportunity to read this ARC.
Though to me this book was very confusing I really think that children will get it and laugh. I did find the illustrations beautiful and captivating. This book is done in comic book form with little fun sketches through out. The telepathic/invisible snail was kind of cute. And his crush on his classmate was typical of younger children. This book also has words and descriptions scattered throughout the book. I think anyone 5+ would like it.
I recieved this book in exchange for my honest opinion.
'Little Pierrot Vol. 3: Starry Eyes' by Alberto Varanda begins with a splash page of children dressed like famous superheroes. This kind of whimsy is why I come back to this series.
Little Pierrot has a snail for a friend, and a crush on a girl named Emily. He has his mischievous side, like accidentally kicking a soccer ball in to a cake, or competing with the other boys for biggest booger. He's confused by things like bombs and prejudice. He likes fall because Miss Moon can't hide behind the trees as well.
This book, like the previous volumes, consists of whimsical little snapshots of Little Pierrot in his world. The art is always fabulous in this series. I think the coloring seems to be better than I remember, but I could be remembering wrong.
I received a review copy of this graphic novel from Lion Forge, Diamond Book Distributors, and NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Thank you for allowing me to review this graphic novel.
I honestly didn't "get" Little Pierrot. I didn't understand what it was about. but the art was amazing. I loved reading it just to look at all the pictures! Using the term pictures is wrong with this book. The gorgeous artwork just pulled me in. In the end, I didn't care that i didn't understand what wove each comic together, i was moved by the images within it.
This is a picture book with graphic panels that will remind many readers of a comic book. The illustrations are full-color, lush, and adorable. My child spends a long time studying each picture and absorbing all of the visuals available.... which is great, because there's almost no plot to speak of. The book is a series of vignettes and snapshots from crushes, seasonal changes, and reflections on friendship and first crushes. Little Pierrot is a charming little book, but expect the illustrations to keep a child's attention more than the story.
Volume 3: as wonderful as always. I love Varanda's illustrations and story arcs and dialogues. Thanks to the publisher for the latest volume's ARC.
Little Pierrot has a crush on one of his classmates...
Lion Forge and Net Galley let me read this story for review (thank you). It will be published September 11th.
While Mr. Snail helps him with harder school concepts, he sometimes daydreams about the lovely girl in class. He learns though.
My favorite part of this series are the illustrations. They're just lovely and Pierrot always looks like he's staring in wonder.
Pierrot's girlfriend is cute, too. This was another fun read.
The further adventures of a too-smart kid and his snail sidekick, this time finding him in puppy love with a classmate.
This is the second in this series I’ve read, and much like that other one, this collection of comic strips isn’t so much a LOL kinda thing as much as designed to get a slight chuckle and a thoughtful stare. For example, all the kids dress strangely, but Emily looks like she’s all grown up. . . in the 19th century. Too bad it wasn’t real.
There’s a strange yet beautiful illustration of some kind of mythical creature—maybe a tiny troll—and a soccer ball.
Things grow quickly out of hand in the “Can you see that?” game. An elephant with wings dancing ballet would usually be at the end of such a joke, not at the beginning.
I didn’t find this one as entertaining as the previous, possibly because it was trying to be more adorable than usual with the first love thing.
Little Pierrot Vol. 3 has such beautiful illustrations that make it fun for children to page through, even though the storyline is a bit incoherent. Young readers won’t mind, and will enjoy Little Pierrot’s antics anyway.

The pictures are quite vivid and beautiful. However, the plot is pretty nonexistent. My kids still liked it though since they were just paying attention to the pictures and not me reading.
This was super cute book to read. Illustrations are so beautiful. There is no story to follow but every page has it own story. I loved it.
