There are three prominent Marys in the Bible. Mary, the mother of Jesus, Mary Magdalene and Mary of Bethany. Each one knew Jesus and their lives intertwined with believers and non-believers. With their unique personalities come lessons that are applicable today. Jeannie Brooks takes a look at the lives of these Marys and gives us a study that is great for a personal read and works well for a book club or a Bible study.

It begins with an introduction and a prayer, then jumps into the reason for the study. It's all about the heart. The next three chapters introduce us to the three Marys. Through Scripture, we learn how they relate to Jesus and how Jesus related to them. There are questions at the end of the chapter to help apply what we've learned to our lives today. The last two chapters takes those applications and makes them even more personal.

I enjoyed this book and will soon share it with a friend so we can discuss the many aspects of this book that encourage a deeper relationship with Jesus.

I struggled to get going in this book. Some of the discussion was lengthy,. As I continued to read there were some things that spoke to me. I did not feel it related as well to the Mary's as I had expected.

I love this book! Throughout this book Jeannie speaks to you like she would a friend. You have a chance to dive in deep with her into the stories and hearts of different Marys of the Bible. I highly recommend this book for other Christian women!

This book is a Bible study that focuses on three Mary's from the Bible: Mary the mother of Jesus, Mary Magdalene, and Mary of Bethany. The book included a lot of scripture references and prayers, which I really appreciated. The author discussed traits of the three Mary's that we should apply to our own lives (i.e. humility, gratitude, boldness, etc). She explained certain customs (betrothal) and encouraged the reader to put themselves in the shoes of these three women. She also included some engaging personal stories. I think this would be a good Bible study to work through with a small group.
