I received this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. I enjoyed this story and this series very much. This book is about a cowgirl who is competing in an all male race at the Marietta, MT rodeo. CJ is harassed by some of the men she is competing against, especially Dean who believes the saddle bronc competition is only for men. Jesse is very impressed with CJ’s skill and is also attracted. To her. CJ is afraid to have a romantic relationship with someone she is competing against. When Dean pulls a dirty trick and trashes her room, Jesse and his family invite her out to their home to wash her clothes and then stay with them. While there, CJ and Jesse give into their feelings and sleep together. CJ is quite torn by her feelings for Jesse and how she believes she should behave. I enjoyed the suspense, the characters and the eventual romance in this 5 star book.

This first story in the multi author series The 79th Copper Mountain Rodeo, is an easy read with no real surprises along the way. A good storyline and interesting characters make for a quick read. I look forward to reading book two.

I thoroughly enjoyed this group of books that was an interesting series of romance novels written by multiple authors. This one was particularly adorable and I just loved the power sharing between the two main characters. It was such a great feel good novel.

It has been a while since I have been back to Marietta and a story from Sarah and in Ms. Mayberry's fashion it was a sweet, fun, light book. We meet CJ who is a woman rider and getting bullied by the other rider's for being a woman. In steps in Jess who helps her deal with these idiots and we have insta-love, and a few days letter they rock the bed and then we have the I love you scenarios, not much time in between but it is what it is. So not much chaos just some problem with his family but not angst all in all enjoyable for a quick read. Enjoy!

CJ met Jesse at the Copper Mountain Rodeo. She is only the second professional female bronc rider, while Jesse is a successful and experienced bronc rider on the rodeo circuit. This is her first book Odeon as a professional, and some of the men on the tour are giving her a hard time. Jesse stands up for her and their relationship begins. Jesse has a troubled relationship with his older brother and CJ has a troubled relationship with her father. Eventually, these issues are resolved and they feel able to move on with their relationship.

I missed Sarah Mayberry. It's been too long! This wasn't up to her usual amazing standards in my opinion, but it was cute and fun! All her trademarks are there: an amazing family, bickering, and nice, loveable main characters.

The only quabble I have is the set up for the rest of the series taking up too much times for my taste, and the dreaded insta-love. Hero and heroine meet at a Rodeo where CJ is competing in a traditionally all-male category and has to put up with a LOT of shit from the male riders, with Jesse being the good guy who wants to help her find her own way to fight the bullies. I liked CJ's independence and fighting spirit, and I adored the easy-going Jesse and his silent strength. He was wonderfully supportive! They ended up in bed far too soon for my liking given that they've only known each other for a few days, and the l-word was dropped way too early for my tastes, too. They have instant chemistry, complete with hairs standing up on their ends whenever they so much as lay eyes on each other and everything. It was nice, but a bit too much too soon for my tastes.

Other than that, I really enjoyed this! Sarah Mayberry is a wonderful author who has never let me down so far!

This book is amazing! I am a huge fan of “The Copper Mountain Rodeo Series” and what a way to start off a series! This is definitely “a perfect ride”. This book is packed with emotion, overcoming past hurts, a father acknowledging his fear, two brothers talking about “what happened”, family coming together, a cowboy who got what he deserved for being a jerk and a couple falling in love! Read it you will not regret doing so!

A book about a female pro- bronc rider that is written by Sarah Mayberry? You better believe I put that on the top of my TBR and read it as soon as I got my hands on it. I read it in a day and was not at all disappointed. CJ and Jesse were fully fleshed out characters and while their romance was a little sudden for my tastes I still really liked how they interacted. I really enjoyed he romance and family dynamics they both brought to the story but I loved the rodeo scenes and wish there had been more of them.

I am not as familiar with the authors of the next installments of this series but this book made me curious enough to want to seek them out.

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I love the Copper Mountain Rodeo and all things Montana. I look forward to reading the entire series. It is the perfect book for someone who loves cowboys, rodeo and romance. The Montana setting is beautiful. I have read several books by Sarah Mayberry and enjoyed them all.

CJ Cooper is one of the first women to qualify as a pro bronc rider and her first competition is in Marietta, Montana. She meets a tall good-looking cowboy, Jesse Carmody who is her main competition but she can 't afford to get distracted or to get a reputation as a buckle bunny.

I would categorise this as a book of two plots. The first, shorter plot is abut CJ's first rodeo and the antagonism she faces from other competitors. The second plot is her insta-love with Jesse and his issues with his family, who live in Marietta. This longer second plot also seems to set up romances for each of Jesse's siblings.

I enjoyed this but I thought it was too light on plot generally, and rodeo specifically, and too heavy on the insta-love sexy times between CJ and Jesse. I was looking for a rodeo romance and this only half delivered on that.

I received a free copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley in return for an honest review.

Great, fast paced read which is set over a very short space of time.

CJ is new to the rodeo, competing in this predominantly male environment is not easy, especially as some of the competitors are so sexist and against her taking part. She is instantly drawn to Jesse, one of the few who stands up for her. But there is more to him than meets the eye, and she can only help him if he lets her.

Looking forward to reading the rest of the series, although these are very much stand alone books too.

There is a wealth of emotions that are weaved throughout this story... determination, perseverance, heartache, heartbreak, joy, elation...throw on top of that misunderstandings, lack of trust, misogynist attitudes...and you have a gripping, engaging, and enjoyable start to a new series. You’ll find yourself going from tears to laughter all within the span of a several of paragraphs. I was impressed with the author’s ability to build so many emotional aspects within one story, and having done it so well.

The characters are realistic, with their unique personalities and attitudes. The story is fast paced and laced with humor and wit. CJ’s rodeo rides are tense and nearly have you holding your breath one minute and then cheering her skill and tenacity the next. The underlying theme of family is one that is sure to leave a lasting impression.

This ARC book was complimentary, provided by the Publisher and NetGalley. I am voluntarily providing my honest review.
