An Amish Homecoming is a collection of four Amish stories. These stories include:
No Place Like Home by Amy Clipston. Eva is torn between her past and her future.
When Love Returns by Beth Wiseman. Sweet story between Sarah and Abram.
The Courage to Love by Shelley Shepard Gray. Irene and Marcus must overcome their differences.
What Love Built by Kathleen Fuller. Carolyn and Atlee must learn to let go and move on.
I enjoyed An Amish Homecoming. I loved all four of these stories. I give this collection four and a half stars.

The newest anthology of heart-warming Amish stories is called Amish Homecoming and has stories from some of my favorite Amish fiction authors: Amy Clipston, Beth Wiseman, Shelley Shepard Gray, and Kathleen Fuller.
Each story is about coming home and finding what you were looking for all along. I love Amish fiction and these stories were great, just as I expected. They were fun and easy to read, but also carried messages of hope and redemption and love.
In the first story, Eva Dienner, from Clipstons Homestead series, returns home after six years so her son can meet his grandparents. Tensions loom and memories bring arguments and pain, but can Eva and her mom reach a place of love again? Add in her childhood friend, and romance might even bloom.
The second story follows Sarah Zook after Hurricane Harvey displaces her and her daughter. They return to Sarah’s Amish home and parents. But Sarah has nightmares and problems she needs to face, including her broken relationship with her mother and the father of her child. In Wiseman’s tale, Sarah finds that sometimes our nightmares are of our own makings.
In Gray’s story, Irene, who we met in her book, His Risk, gets to tell her story. She is living with an elderly couple and hoping to experience family for the first time. But when their son Marcus discovers her there, he is judgmental and misunderstandings abound. Irene moves out but Marcus soon discovers that she may be what he was looking for all along.
Finally, Fuller brings us Carolyn, an independent headstrong woman who wants to make her own way. She is afraid to accept help, fearing people will believe she can’t do anything on her own. However, Atlee has been alone since his wife died and realizes that the two must help each other. Will she let him, and her community, in?
I really loved each story. I’d love to read more about the people in them. That is my only complaint in short stories! They always get me invested in the people but then they end! You will enjoy this set as well! I received a free copy of this story from NetGalley for my honest opinion. Al thoughts are expressly my own.

This is four well written novellas about overcoming mistakes in the past. Each story will hold your interest and is a stand-alone, no cliffhangers. I really enjoyed this book and look forward to reading more by these authors. Thank you Zondervan Fiction Zondervan via NetGalley for the ARC copy of this book. This is my honest opinion of this book.

Zondervan has pulled together four novellas by four expert authors on Amish life. They are also very good at writing romance stories in the Amish culture. This collection tells stories of prodigals, of people who moved from their community to another and then come back, of people who leave their faith and return to it.

Some of the characters have been abused by others in the novel, some have lost people precious to them, some have bridges to build, others have to find home.

Eva comes home with a little girl to meet her parents. She doesn't expect to stay long, there is too much bad blood between her mother and her.

Sarah comes home after Hurricane Harvey destroys where she lives. She, too, has a little girl, and the father of the girl is one of the first people she sees.

Irene comes back to her Amish community after her Englisch husband dies. She is living with an older couple helping them around the house for room and board. Their son comes by and sees Irene as taking advantage of his parents.

Carolyn wants to open a bakery within two weeks. Atlee Shetler has come to visit his friend Thomas, but wants to do something than just sit around. He comes around to help her get the bakery ready to open.

This is a five star collection, two thumbs up, and a chocolate orange twist.

I appreciate that Zondervan Publishing for allowing me to read and review this book.

This is a collection of four "Prodigal Son" type stories, each from a different author, but with the common thread of the struggles to move back home after being absent for a time. My favorites were the first two, most likely due to the age of the characters (and thus relatability), but each story brought something different to the table. Those returning home are met with mixed emotions, including joy at their return, distrust of intentions, and hesitation at becoming too attached (because they may leave again). I enjoy reading these four-novella collections because they are short, bite-sized stories, but have a common thread that pulls the whole book together.
