I loved the characters and the storyline development of this book. It was absolutely one of my favorites so far and I can't wait to delve in to the next one that this author writes. The storyline was simple, enjoyable, and entertaining.

I really enjoy sports romances and throw in one of my favorite tropes friends-to-lovers and you have a home run in my eyes. Flynn and Miles love story is perfect. Childhood best friends given a second chance at love! That's the dream. I couldn't read this fast enough to see how it ended

This was such a great story about soul mates that have to conquer some of the most difficult things in life to try to find their way back to each other. Not sure if forgiveness will be in the cards. My favorite line from this book is: "That day, when I didn’t kiss you, I told you that you couldn’t be a lost boy anymore. You had to be Tinker Bell.”

So I have very mixed feelings on this book.

Overall it was a pretty good read. But some things just fell flat with the character development and some parts of the story itself for me.

It isn't a bad read. And if you like some romance you'll enjoy it.

But it just wasn't the most favorite read I've had recently.

I wish there was a bit more build up on some things.

But I still enjoyed the story as a whole. And would say to give this one a chance

UGH I hate when a book made me cry. Big Stick is more then just hockey player falls for his childhood friend. It takes the reader on an emotional rollercoaster of grief and accepting what has happened. Myles and Flynn were like magnets attracting and repealing each other, but always coming back for more. I hope that Oliver gets his own story.

An enjoyable read from RC Stephens

The story keeps you gripped from the start to the end, characters flowing seemlesly together.

An enjoyable read and sports romances aren’t my biggest jam.

My 1st book by author R.C. Stephens was great. It was so enjoyable, a great roller coaster ride of emotions in this book. I loved how strong all the characters were in this book & how they stood up for & backed each other. I enjoyed the drama, sexual tension, chemistry & friendship that this book brought. I loved how the author used such a strong but sensitive topic for the background of the story & the message that was delivered throughout the book about drinking & driving. This book struck a chord with me because of a near tragedy that my family went through & is still dealing with 29yrs ago because of a drunk driver. I definitely recommend this book & have already ordered book 2 to read.

I really enjoyed the characters and storyline. It all flowed well and kept me turning pages. The cover is eye catching, too. A well done book that I’d recommend!

When they were growing up Myles was best friends with Oliver and his twin sister Flynn. The feelings between Myles and Flynn evolved into something much deeper and when they finally decided to tell everyone the truth about their relationship tragedy struck and they haven’t seen each other since.

Seven years later Myles is a professional hockey player and Flynn is a lawyer. When her plans for the future went up in smoke she heads to her brother for comfort and finds Myles instead. As they spend time together, the feelings they had for each other are stronger than ever, but will this be their second chance or is the pain of the past too much to overcome?

This is a second chance at love story filled with emotion and heat that has you hoping that Myles and Flynn will finally get their happy ever after.

If your a fan of Hockey or of a sassy romance then Big Stick by R.C. Stephans is the book for you! It has a great flow to it, the author really did a great job with the connection and the chemistry between the characters. I am voluntarily leaving my honest review after reading this arc.

This is an intriguing friends to lovers romance involving elements that drove the childhood friends apart years ago which are slowly revealed as the story progresses. Get ready for a sexy NHL player who has been attracted to the girl next door - who is also his best friend’s sister - for years and is finding it hard to ignore. However, their past and secrets are driving them apart. Can they overcome their past to give romance a chance or will that night forever drive them apart?

This is a sports romance where the emphasis is on relationships rather than the sport. It has well developed characters and it is only through honesty, communication and taking chances that their future together stands any chance. It is a heartwarming story, showing how past mistakes can affect the future, especially when secrets are being kept - honesty really is the best policy but that sometimes takes even more courage.

I requested and was gifted a copy of this book via NetGalley. This is my honest review after choosing to read it.

This was my first book by this author. I actually really liked it. There was a small part in the middle that dragged on and on for me with Flynn but other than that, I enjoyed it. If you are a fan of the friends to lovers trope this is certainly one that should be on your TBR list this fall.

Hockey was Myles’ life. He had almost everything he wanted and when a chance to reconnect with Flynn is available he immediately takes his chances. She was his Tinkerbell and he was her Peter Pan, being best friends since they were six years old definitely was something he cherished. When she gives him a chance and they rekindle their relationship he finally feels the peace he was denied so long. This book will take you on an emotional roller coaster as the three main characters slowly find acceptance with a tragedy that rocked their world and they are finally picking up the pieces.

If you like hot, steamy, romance with gorgeous, drool worthy hockey players then this book is definitely for you. This book was captivating from the first page to the last. I seriously could not put this one down! Amazing characters with great chemistry and passion, and a fab storyline too. I’m a big fan of a sports romance especially hockey ones and this author really delivered. Would recommend

I got sucked into Flynn & Myles’s story! I couldn’t put it down.

Flynn & Myles had great chemistry and I liked seeing their history. I loved watching them finding their way back to each other.

I enjoyed the banter between all the characters. Really strong secondary characters Oli & Sloane who added to the overall story.

I really hope Oli & Sloane’s story is next!

An overall cute romance, not much in the way of being inundated with sports. Good chemistry between Myles and Flynn.

I love sports romances and was excited to read this book. It fell short. The issue in the book was drawn out way too long and then another wrench was thrown in which made it even longer. There was a lot of repeating between Myles and Flynn about the past and it got old quick.

My honest review is for a special copy I voluntarily read.

To be honest the title of this book put me off. I'm glad I read the description. This turned out to be one of the sweetest romances I've read in awhile. Absolutely loved the backstory and loved watching the love they have for each other take over the guilt of past actions.

I like hockey romances, but this one just didn't quite work for me.
What irritated me was the repeated use of "my Peter Pan." The Tink and Peter Pan thing was so overused, it became treacly irritating. Not to mention, wasn't Tink in love with Peter and he was oblivious?

It seemed as if the writing was overly plotted with the drawing out of the "secret" and making sure she sprinkled Peter Pan and Tink in as many times as possible. Had the author allowed herself to wander off course more, I think the story might have felt more organic and natural.

I found myself a bit bored while reading it. all the over plot and melodramatics added unnessecary weight to the story, and then there were all the cliches.
Not my thing.
