Kids love Disney, so using that as a learning tool is a good tactic. I think kids will enjoy learning more about the area where Moana came from.

A good introductory book to the Pacific Islands for children (and this adult). The Moana tie-in should help to keep the young one's attention as they learn.

I wasn't really sure to expect when I read "discovery book" but it turned out to be an informative and educational text for the age range. I love how the author used Moana as a gateway to learn about the Pacific Islands and Polynesian culture.

This book had way more content than I was expecting! When I first began reading, I was planning to incorporate this into my early reader nonfiction, thinking that it would only cover the information at a surface level. However, I was very impressed with how deeply it delved into the different topics, all while tying in STEM and relating it to the familiarity of Moana. I can see this being a big hit with my students. Thank you, NetGalley for the ARC!
