This is a cute feel good Christmas short story with all the right ingredients; single mom with cute, precocious 6 year old, animals needing saving and Santa! This is one story needing a followup.

A Let’s-Rescue-Each-Other Holiday Romance
I enjoyed reading this story - the easy to please little boy, the hard working mom, the handsome stranger, the slow and steady attraction and love story. What I feel was missing is that you don’t see much of Miranda using her veterinarian skills, nor do you see her dedication to healing Twisty until the last few chapters.
Ms. Marks is a talented writer and I will be looking for more of her books.

This was such a sweet romantic Christmas story. I loved Jackson, Miranda and Oliver. From the very first chapter where Oliver thought that Jackson was Santa you could see what a great family the 3 of them would make. Even though Miranda was a little bit frighten because Jackson was a stranger you could feel the chemistry working between them. I thought that Erika Marks did such a great job spinning this romance into such a great story about a Christmas miracle. That is what this story is all about. It is about finding something that you didn't even realize you were missing. It is about helping other people find joy. It is about giving from your heart and really not expecting anything in return. Reading this book filled my heart with so much love and joy. The only thing I think would have made this book even better was an epilogue so you could see where the their future went. If you are looking for a book that will make you smile and feel good then pick this book up because it will do just that. Thanks Net Galley. I voluntarily reviewed this book in exchange for an honest review.

Loved it! What a great Christmas story! Though wouldn't the women give something to him to wrap his poor ankle to brace it? I would think hobbling around on a hurt ankle without a light brace/wrap wouldn't be for for it. That was the only thing that I kept waiting for during the initial meeting of the two.

Sweet christmas story.
Dressed as Santa, music star Jackson get stranded following a car accident. he takes shelter in a nearby barn, which is where he is found by the owners son Ollie.
Miranda is none too happy about a strange man showing up in the barn, and even when she finds out his name she doesn't know who he is.
But as she lets him in to their life they start to grow closer

Rescued by Christmas by Erika Marks
Story starts out with Jackson and he's just finishing up a gig where he's a temp Santa and he wants to just get away from everything, head to the mountain cabin and relax this Christmas holiday season.
Also follows Miranda who has a young boy Oliver and they tend to rescue horses. They keep the most hurtful ones at their house barn for constant care.
On the way to his cabin Jackson has a mishap and ends up in Miranda's barn, he's wearing his Santa outfit still. She tends to him as Oliver thinks he's the real deal.
The adults get to talk when alone at times during 5 days he's stranded there due to his injuries. With the snow storm they are safe at home and for the first time in years they walk to cut down a tree.
She is about to lose the shelter in town where the other horses go and Jackosn has to leave to record his latest album...
Like this book for many reasons: keeping faith and hope present in your life, the location and being home during the snowstorm-brings back good memories for me. Cutting the fresh tree down, ornaments, cookies and decorating the house from top to bottom.
Gifts they have given to one another over the days without even knowing they were gifts at all. So touching.
Other works by the author are highlighted at the end along with an author bio.
Have read other works from this author and always appreciate her writings, treasured!
