A great collection of true stories about dogs who were rescued by humans or had rescued their humans. My favorite stories were the WWII story about how the American soldiers rescued a bunch of strays in Europe, drugged and smuggled them into their bags, and brought them to America by ship to find good homes, as well as the Greece story. Dogs are such intuitive creatures, knowing when you are sick or down, or when you need to be rescued. The book did a great job of showing that.
