This felt like a book I should have loved—grief, secrets, introspection—but I never fully connected with the characters or the emotional core. The narrative pace felt slow for me, though I think it could really resonate with readers who enjoy quiet, reflective women’s fiction.

I love journalling, so I was excited for this book! Elizabeth leaves her journals to her best friend Kate in her will. This is a thoughtful book about friendship, marriage, parenting and love – as well as the hidden parts within each of us.
