4.5 stars. I enjoyed this book more than the first in the series. Fin knew that he screwed up big time and was working big time to make it right. I really liked Lilah and felt her pain and her need to remove herself from Fin. I could have used a bit of grovel from the H and an apology. Fin did work at showing the h that he loved her. Overall, a very good story, which also had a great epilogue. *I received an ARC of this book from NetGalley and this is my voluntary and honest review.

Wow. those Brody brothers don't do things by half measures once they decide they want something. Or someone, actually. And Lilah is that someone for Fin. Of course, convincing her of that will take an iron will because he messed up in the worst way possible with her the first time around and she's guarding her heart closely now.

Again, though, those Brody brothers go in with all guns blazing and Fin isn't about to let Lilah slip away without making her understand exactly what she means to him.

Lilah certainly has good reason to be cautious with the man who stole her heart when she was a kid. He broke her. Hard. Not in a sexy way, either. The guy trampled her in the worst way possible and she's determined not to let him do it again.

Except...those Brodys don't know how to walk away from the things that matter. As you can imagine, there's only so much a person can take before they give into a man who's wholly dedicated to making you the center of his world. (MAN, those Brodys are intense. So intense. Good thing their lady friends are into that or they'd be in a world of hurt.)

Two brothers down, two to go. I'm all in. Let's do this!

Definitely enjoyed reading this book! This is Finian and Lilah book, Fin runs his family ranch called green rock ranch Lilah is going to school to be a vet and certain circumstance fin needs Lilah to help at the ranch because a bunch of the cows are pregnant and they're prize cattle and they need all the help they can get! they were always best friends growing up but fin took her virginity and then she blurted that she loved him and he freaked the heck out! lol her mother has worked at the ranch her whole life and holds the Brody family at a ridiculous high standard! She in her motherly way thinks her daughter isn't good enough for fin! She says she's just a towny Fin should be with royalty! Geez her mom was a head case lol but definitely don't miss out on this book! It's well worth the read! Thank you NetGalley and the publishers for sharing this book with me!

BRACED is book two in Stacy Gail’s Brody Brothers series, and picks up beautifully from where book one left off. I really do recommend reading these books in order to fully appreciate the order of events.

As with book one, I had moments of wanting to slap the hell out of Fin and others where his blatant, in your face arrogance was completely my undoing. These men are definitely not your run of the mill Alphas; they say exactly what they think in the heat of the moment with absolutely no filter in sight. They are possessive, obnoxious, and downright self absorbed; but when they find the woman they are certain is their future, they will move heaven and earth to ensure her safety, comfort and most of all her physical satisfaction is achieved.

I’m becoming somewhat addicted to these annoying heroes, even though their need for total ownership is primitive and Neanderthal in this day and age. Bring on book three Ms Gail, I can’t wait for more!

After enjoying the first book 'Branded' I had this book on my 'wanted'-list and was fortunate to find it at Netgalley for request. This book can be read as a total standalone.

Lilah is studying hard to graduate as a veterinarian in a couple of months. When Fin Brody requests her assistance during the birthing season of his stock, she is very hesitant. We learn there is a history here.

Lilah practically grew up on the ranch and with the Brody brothers and she and Fin were best friends. Until a couple of weeks ago, when they had a sudden one-night-stand (ok 'epic truck sex' (view spoiler)) and afterwards he cruelly rejected her as she professed her love for him. It seems Fin regrets his actions and is determined to show Lilah he wants to mend not only their friendship but also for them to become more. But after what happened plus the stern warnings of her mother that she is not good enough for a Brody, Lilah is very hesitant and braces herself against getting hurt again by Fin.

Fin is sort of a Kristen Ashley/Devney Perry kind of alpha hero. He wants to protect his woman, he talks about staking his claim etc. I wish there was a bit more warmth to him during the story (plus more of a apology for being an a**hole) but we do get his more swoony side during the epilogue. Lilah is confused most of the story and I did not really get their friendship (why didn't they communicate more?) but overall I just really enjoyed the story and I read it in one sitting. I can't wait for the next book about one of the other brothers.
