Great romance! The Bennett family is the cowboy family every woman would like to meet. The erotic writing is just enough, without going over the top, but that is not to say its not hot, because it is. Landish made me go look for her next book immediately after finishing. Recommend to contemporary romance readers.
Great start to this new series! I love the chemistry between Sophie and James, but this story had more than just romance, it's got plenty of suspense that kept me engaged and interested all the way through to the end of the book.
Really enjoyed the book! Cute story written in real life language! Of course the brothers were all yummy! Fun book to shake things up!
When teasing and playfulness turn into something more.
This is a incredibly well written rough romance with a amazing outcome.
I absolutely loved this book it was intriguing and suspenseful and a fabulous read and I recommend giving it a try it was so good won’t be disappointed
BUCK WILD is the first book in the BENNETT BOYS RANCH series and I look forward to reading the rest of the books. This is James and Sophie’s story, but we are introduced to both their families and the Tannen family from the neighboring ranch. There are lots more stories to tell, especially with some of the loose ends that were left, even given the epilogues from both James and Sophie’s perspectives.
Sophie is doing an unpaid internship with a rural veterinarian before she goes off to school to study veterinary medicine in the fall. Her paths cross those of the Bennett family when she goes out to their ranch with Doc, her mentor, to assist in the birth of a foal. Sparks fly when she and James, a professional bull rider, first meet and not in a good way, or is it especially since both have plans for the fall? The story is told from each of their perspectives, a chapter at a time. They definitely have chemistry, including heat-up-the-sheets moments that are not only in the privacy of the bedroom and seem to both say what’s on their mind with lots of cursing thrown in for good measure. They reveal things to each other that they don’t normally talk about, and Sophie becomes a fixture on the ranch and accepted by his mom and two older brothers rather easily. Their mom is a little too forthcoming sometimes to James’ chagrin.
The descriptions of life in a small town and a working ranch were vivid, along with those of the mountains, the pond, the animals and their surroundings. There are family and friends along with lots of animals, business ventures, the ranch, dreams and heartache along with romance, lots and lots of loving and love. There is a happily ever after to be continued and some closure. The story didn’t always play out the way I expected which was nice. I can’t wait to see what the Bennett, and even the Tannen families, are up to next.
Lauren Landish is a new-to me-author, and I look forward to reading more of her books that are a little outside of my comfort level, given her use of colorful and steamy descriptions of all things loving.
I don't want to give any spoilers because this book is well worth your time to read! Exciting, fun, entertaining, well written, engaging read, you will be hooked. This cowboy is smooth yet tough & rough, all in one, sexy hunk of man! James is just home for the summer to help at his families ranch that is until he meets the sweet & sexy yet sassy vet student Sophie who is interning with Doc the local vet. Once James & Sophie meet the sexual tension is crackling, the chemistry sizzling but the best part is by far their banter! Told from POV, Lauren Landish nails their snarky, sometimes humorous banter from their first interaction. Are we Even? the question is simple but once you read Buck Wild this question will suddenly have so much hot & humorous meaning, it will have you fanning yourself! Guess you need to one-click Buck Wild to find the wild & hidden sexual innuendo these two use with the simple question, Even? But when its the end of the summer & their summer fling is over, can these two part ways? James begins to question going back on the bull riding tour but Sophie's internship with Doc is over and it's back to vet school, right!? Landish hits the nail on the head with Book one of this series, definitely recommend adding Buck Wild to your Kindle library! And I can't forget to add, I can't wait for book 2 in the Bennett Boys Ranch series to see which of the other Bennett brothers is next!
I am voluntarily leaving this voluntary review, but for full disclosure I did receive a review copy, ARC, of this book from the publisher via NetGalley.

3.5 stars
James and his brothers are hot. James comes home from the rodeo circuit after their dad dies. Sophie is in town for the summer working with the local vet before going to vet school in the fall. He's having issues about returning to the circuit and "abandoning" his family and falling in love with someone who will be leaving. She knows she has to go to school, and falling in love was never part of the plan. In the end love conquers all.
James has come to help with the family ranch. is H is a bull rider in the rodeo circuit but he has a few months off .Sophie has been studying to be a vet and now she is an intern with the dock until she leaves to get her own office .They have a rough start when she comes to the ranch with the doc. On one of the nights because she was out on the ranch things got really hot . So for the summer they seem to be hitting it off . Things changed when he had to go back to the rodeo and her to a job as a vet.
This was a great story. The heat is on between James and Sophie from the minute she puts him in his place. The actual relationship is a bit more slow burn and I love that they truly communicate. I love this book and I am dying to see who Shayanne ends up with!
best friends little sister...whirlwind romance...cute animals! check, check, check!
A fun story that moves quickly. It's well written with a quirky characters that while I wanted to strangle at times for being stupid, still made for an interesting read.
Ok book not my favorite from this author. Other people would like. I volunteered read this book for a honest review
I am never disappointed with Lauren's books, the characters are relatable, well rounded with enough background to really make them come alive, then the lead into current affairs grabs your attention and the story keeps you hooked to the end. Steamy, hot cowboys help keep the imagination alive that's for sure, and this book doesn't disappoint. I look forward to more of the Bennett brothers. I happily volunteered to read a copy of this book and really loved it.

I couldn't get into this book. There were some things I liked in theory, like the brothers and their relationship with their mother, but the execution didn't work for me. But the relationship between the hero and heroine was too easy too quickly, with the frequent sex scenes thrown in willy nilly without enough genuine chemistry. I opened the book this morning to continue reading, saw how much was left, and groaned, which was a sign that I needed to simply back away.
I'm grateful for the opportunity to read an ARC, and I'm sure others will enjoy this more than I did.
Yummy and steamy read!
Just what you expect from Lauren Landish! Hot cowboy bad boy meets no nonsense city girl! Lust at first sight till James speaks to Sophie. Sophie is a spit fire and doesn’t hold back, the journey to the HEA was just something that draws you in from beginning to end. You can’t help but root for this couple.
Lauren has out done herself yet again, can’t wait for book 2 in this series, thank you netgalley for my ARC.
I really liked this read. Sophie and James have steamy chemistry and the story is filled with drama and emotion. I was hooked from beginning to end. Looking forward to more in the series.
Loved this story!! I am a big fan of Lauren Landish and this book didn’t disappoint. The banter between Sophie & James was priceless and every word made me like them more and more!! This is definitely a book I’d recommend
I voluntarily reviewed a advanced readers copy of this book
4.5 Stars Lauren Landish is a new to me author, but I must say not anymore. Buck Wild is the first book in her new series Bennett Boys Ranch and I just loved it. A heart-warming, sexy read, with great characters and fabulous story. Jump in and grab your copy, if you love a great cowboy story this is a must for you
I so enjoyed this book. James and Sophie are a sweet sexy couple. The story is interesting without any angst or dark episodes. James' family members are loving and supportive with some sibling rivalry tossed in for comic relief. Love scenes are somewhat graphic without being pornography. Loved it. Highly recommended.
This is the 1st book in a new series from this exceedingly talented author, and what an awesome introduction this is! James is the youngest of the brothers, and is a bull rider; therefore, he is only home for the summer. Sophie is studying large animals as a vet, and is assisting the local vet for experience. When these two first meet it is not the best introduction, but the chemistry between them is explosive. No spoilers; this is a definite must read, you will not be disappointed! This is a well written flawless story, which has a tad drama, and plenty of humour. I was totally captivated throughout, and cannot wait to read the next book in this addictive series!
