Well who doesn't love a bull riding, dirty talking, cowboy? This is book one of the Bennett Boys Ranch series from Lauren Landish and we get to meet James, our cowboy who can definitely ride longer than 8 seconds!!! I have read several books from Ms. Landish so I had an idea what to expect going in, and I wasn't disappointed.

James and Sophie's chemistry is there, and I felt like through their conversations, you watched them grow. I liked that. Even though it was instachemistry, it wasn't instalove. Not a lot of drama just a romance book with some interesting characters. Luke and Mark is brothers are going to make for interesting next books, though I will be honest I am partial to Luke, I think that will be a hoot. And of course Mama Lou, who doesn't love a down home country mom. I think this was a good start to what I am sure will be an interesting series and I can't wait for the next book to come out. I do hope that we will get to read more about James and Sophie, as I am not quite done with their story..... I want to see if James' vision comes true.

Wow, this was so fantastic!!! James is a bull rider, a rancher, with 2 brothers who hopefully get their own books too. Sophie is Jake's baby sis, from another series, but don't worry- this can be read as a stand alone. It's just cool to see a little tie in. Anyways, these two both are only home for the summer, and only have time for a fling. Jake's mama knows better though. Lauren Landish has me on a cowboy kick now and this is a fantastic start to my new obsession.

Fun and sexy, sweet with a strong sense of family, this was a great read. And um, did you see the cover? That's seriously what made me start to love this book. These country boys just have a way about them, and if you have ever been interested in cowboys, ranchers, or just a straight up awesome romance, I totally reccomend this one.

I know of a few others who have read this book and we all seem to have different opinions on it. I personally just found this as a fun book,.

Sophie has plans that include the summer interning for the local vet and then off to veterinary school in the fall. Nowhere in her plans is there a place blocked out for a wild bull riding cowboy. But after a rather rough start, she finds herself spending plenty of time with James as he helps out on his family’s ranch until he returns to the rodeo circuit in a few months. Neither are looking for more than a summer fling but sometimes fate has other things in store.

This was a relatively low drama read with the conflicts this couple face pretty low angst and quickly dealt with. While I enjoyed both of these characters, sometimes their intimate moments were a bit cheesy and overdone with the cowboy-isms. They were still hot as heck but I quickly started skimming every time they started all the silly talk/play in the bed or wherever else they found themselves. This is a total me thing as I can only handle a few scenes such as that and this book exceeded my limitations. Nevertheless, there’s enough steamy moments that there was still plenty left for me to read all the way through.

I liked the way this couple worked out their concerns in a completely adult manner and other than a little blip of insecurity, they never allowed them to come between them. This story also sets up what I assume to be the background for future books and what may be some additional conflict for the other Bennett brothers. It is well written, has a pretty good pace that was never repetitive, other than those pesky cowboy-isms, and was rounded out with a very nice epilogue.

Overall, if you enjoy cowboys, country living with momma’s home cooking, and a bit of trouble from someone who wants all the land to themselves, I would totally recommend this.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book provided by NetGalley and Montlake. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Cowboy romances are my secret crack, I just love them, there is something about a heart-warming, sexy cowboy falling in love.
Buck Wild, is fun, sexy and basically everything we all love in a cute romance. Perfect summer, beach read.
Little to no drama, and I really appreciated that, this is the first book from this author that I have read and I defiantly would like to read more.

I have absolutely loved every Lauren Landish book that I have read. I have to say that this new series I think is her best so far. There is just something about the Bennett Boys that got to me. I loved them all even Mama. This book just grabbed me from the first. There was just something about Sophie and James that I liked a lot. It could have been that the first time they meant it was not all sunshine and roses but perhaps it was close. James was such a great guy and a real family man. Sophie was sweet but she also loves her family so much. Both James and Sophie have lost parents so they have that connection. This book was great. I laughed, I cried, and I smiled a lot. I cannot wait until the next book in the series. I cannot wait to see what happens when Luke and Mark meet the one. Thanks Net Galley. I voluntarily reviewed this book in exchange for an honest review.

OMG! This story was awesome. James and Sophie are such a hot and sexy couple. I really liked the fact that Sophie got her own story. And what a story it was! Sophie is the younger sister of Jake, the main character from Heartstopper, Irresistible Bachelor 3. I really enjoyed this spinoff from the series and can't wait to read about the other Bennett brothers. James and Sophie were drawn to one another from the very beginning. Even though Jake had his doubts at the beginning if they could keep there romance going after the summer; he soon discovered he would do anything to keep her. Sophie not only fell in love with James but also his family and the life she could have. This is such a well written book, full of romance, adventure and even a little bit of drama in the form of the neighbors who share a fence with the Bennett ranch. I can't say enough about how much I enjoyed this book and the wonderful HEA! I am looking forward to meeting Luke and Mark next.

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

Country Boy meets City Girl and you have a funny, sweet and hot romance. James and Sophie first met, and it was not a great first introduction. Sophie is working with a vet for the summer and when she meets James on his family’s farm they do not start off on the right foot. When James apologizes to Sophie for his behavior they call a truce and start friendship filled with some playful flirting. When they flirting starts taking a more heated exchange they embark on a causal relationship being that they are only both there for the summer. They start getting to know one another and James gives her something she has been missing from her life. Sophie does the same by making James feel more grounded and that makes him itchy and scared. James is in the rodeo and has been the wild child of his siblings, so when he feels like things with Sophie might be getting serious he doesn’t know what to do. Sophie doesn’t run when it gets too serious, but she does have her fears and one is not being able to be with James after the summer.

Even though this is a sweet romance the dirty talking here is out of this world. I would love to have James dirty talk to me and it seems that it all it takes to get Sophie in the mood. The family aspect in the story is something I love reading about. When a family comes together in times of need is what Sophie and James have in common, they both know what lost is. The story did sort of lag in the middle which I didn’t like so much. The characters are funny, intense and perfect for each other. The supporting characters will make you fall in love with them as much as the main characters. It makes me want to know how Lauren will write the next brothers’ story because I am hoping there will be one.

Lauren Landish totally outdoes herself in this book.

FLOVE! I floved this book so hard. It was great to see Sophie get her HEA. We met her in the Irresistible Bachelors series when her brother Jake and the pop star Roxie got together. Sophie found herself in a little bit of teenage trouble and now she is all grown up and after accidentally signing up for a wrong class, she finds herself studying animal care instead of business. Which turned out totally fine when she interns with a country vet and ends up meeting James Bennett, the rodeo bull riding star.

Talk about fireworks!! I absolutely loved Sophie's sense of humor and her total understanding of situations and never jumping to conclusions. James is the youngest of the 3 Bennett boys and happens to be home to help work the farm after his fathers passing when Sophie and the country Vet come to help out with a pregnant horse named Briarbelle that brother #2, Luke, takes care of. Like I said....BOOM! James starts the fireworks and boy does Sophie hold her own.

This book is a total must read for sure. I absolutely loved it and can't wait to see what kind of filly if going to wrangle Mark and Luke.

***** I voluntarily read an advance reader copy of this totally freaking awesome book *****

I loved this story. It was fun, sweet, steamy and romantic all rolled into one. This is the first book I've read by this author and it certainly won't be the last.

The plot was simple really with little drama and no angst but it worked!! James and Sophie were adorable. I can't wait to read about Luke and Mark. Highly recommend!

Buck Wild is the story of James Bennett, the youngest of three brothers, who came home to help out the family ranch after their father passed away, but would need to go back on the rodeo circuit in a few months. Sophie Stone is interning for the summer before she starts veterinary school. What started off as a summer fling turned out to be so much more. The first time these two meet, its not so great. James is kind of a jerk, but Sophie, with her feisty attitude shoots him down quick. But after a scolding from his mother (scene was pretty funny) an apology is made and accepted and that is the beginning of their story. Their story is quite sweet but don't get me wrong there are some sizzling hot scenes between the two. They start their relationship knowing that it would not last, James is a professional bull rider who will be constantly moving with the rodeo circuit and Sophie will be entering veterinary school away from the farm. But as they spend more time with each other and the Bennett family, their feelings start to change and they both realize at pretty much the same time that they love each other and if they is a way to make them work.

Their love story was pretty quick, no real angst and their problem with distance is resolved pretty easily. The sex scenes between the two are hot and steamy but for some reason I felt like something was missing. I didn't really connect with the two. I liked them individually but together not as much. I'm glad they got their HEA but I really didn't feel it.

I loved all the secondary characters, Mama Lou was hilarious, I loved how she kept all three of the alpha men in check. I am pretty curious about the two brothers, Mark and Luke, I think their stories will be interesting. And something about the neighboring farm's daughter, she's young at 19, but I feel a story there.

All in all, an okay read. I am curious what the series will bring so may be interested in reading on.

I received a complimentary copy of Buck Wild from Netgalley, all opinions are my own. Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for giving me the opportunity to review this book.

**I received a copy of Buck Wild from Montlake Press and Net Galley in exchange for a voluntary and honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.**

Buck Wild by Lauren Landish is the first book in her Bennett Boys Ranch series. I have read one other book by the author but this one is a new series. I did love the story and give it a hearty 4 star rating.

Sophie Stone is in the midst of her summer internship with the local vet Doc Jones when she gets to attend her first foal being born at the Bennett Ranch. Her first meeting with James isn't as pleasant because of the type of birth but both move onto getting to know each other. Sophie parents were killed when she was a child and her brother raised her. With James and his family especially Mama Lou she'll find a family she's always wanted. When the summer ends will she stay or go to the Vet school to finish her studies?

James Bennett loves being a bull rider more than anything but when his father passes and he comes home for the summer will he decide that its time to set aside wild ways and help with the ranch with his brothers. When he meets Sophie the wanderlust that he's had for years will have him questioning that maybe its time to go out on top. There will be a feud with the Tannen's next door and a lot of hot sexy Sophie in his summer before he'll finally make his mind up. But it's Doc Jones (Think Dr. Pol) and Mama Lou that will make the store just a bit better.

I love Lauren Landish books but to me this one didn't have her normal greatness to it. Don't get me wrong it is a good book and everyone should read it, but it needs more of the passion her books normally have. The story line and characters are great and I loved James and Sophie's story but there was something missing, in my opinion.

I voluntarily received and read this copy from Net Galley for an honest review.

This book was just okay. I couldn't really connect with the hero or the heroine even though I got the back story on both. There were a lot of secondary characters, but no real plot. I was expecting a bit more action in the rodeo, but mainly it was working on the ranch and James talking to his brothers or Sophie. Everything just felt a little too forced - from James being a cowboy to Sophie working as a vet in training. The "aha" moment didn't cause any real angst and didn't make me feel anything really. I can't say that I will ever read another book by Luaren Landish, just not into here writing style. **ARC provided by NetGalley. All opinions are my own**

Yum! I needed this buck wild cowboy! I need to know where to get my own stat! I love the way this author writes. Neither Hero nor heroine outdo the other. It is truly a give and take relationship and I lo ved watching it unfold.

RATING 3.5 STARS

Buck Wild is book one in the brand new series, Bennett Boys Ranch by Lauren Landish. Lauren is a new to me author and I chose this book because I have a huge obsession to cowboy romances and thought this would be a great way to introduce myself to this author. I think I’m going to be unpopular when I say that for me, the book was just okay. It didn’t hold my interest the way I wanted it to. And although the sexy times between these two were hot, hot, hot, I never really felt the romance. I didn’t swoon or sigh. So in that respect, I was a bit disappointed.

James Bennett is a very successful professional rodeo bull rider. It’s off season and his father has just passed away so he has come home to his family’s ranch to help his two older brothers and mother with keeping everything going. But at the end of the summer, he will be back on the circuit. James is not the relationship kind of guy. His constant moving from one rodeo to the next prohibits that. So when he first met the sexy little veterinarian student who didn’t hesitate to put him right in his place, he was shocked at his reaction to her, and how much he couldn’t wait to see her again.

“This girl might be trouble. And if there’s anything I like more than riding bulls, it’s trouble.”

Sophie Stone has just finished college and is preparing to enter veterinary school. She has scored a summer internship with a small town vet and is thrilled with the experience working with him will give her. When they are called to the Bennett ranch to deliver a foal, she meets the Bennett men, but it’s one in particular that catches her eye. Their first meeting, though, was not a pleasant one. But the next time they met, things went better and the chemistry between them sizzled.

“She’s an angel, with a body built for sin…and she’s unafraid to show me both sides.”

Sophie and James enter into a summer fling. They both know their time together will have an expiration date. Sophie is going off to vet school in the fall and James back to his rodeos. But the more time these two spend together, the more their feelings grow, making them both wonder if they will be able to walk away as planned.

Now that the Bennett boy’s mamma, Louise, is alone, it seems as there might be those who are ready to take advantage of her. But her boys are ready to do whatever it takes to defend their home.

This book definitely has some steamy sexy times. Sophie and James have chemistry that steams right off the pages. I think my lack of connection was probably just me. Still, it was an enjoyable read and if you are a lover of sexy cowboys, you will probably enjoy this book!

“Sometimes fate has its own plan for us.”

This book was funny, sexy and heartwarming! Basically everything I like best in a romance. I love the story; it is just so full of heart and soul and all about the important things in life like family. I love James and Sophie! Can the agreement they make to have a summer fling really be enough for them?
I loved it!!
