In Driven to Distraction, Lori Foster brings us the first book in her new Road to Love series. Driven to Distraction is Brodie Crews and Mary Daniels' story.
The two characters meet when Mary's boss, a collector, hires Brodie to serve as the courier for his acquisitions. Mary and Brodie initially clash with one another because their personalities are quite opposite. While Brodie is open, brash and unrepentant, Mary is private, conservative and all professionalism. However, despite that, they share an undeniable interest and sexual chemistry that becomes impossible to ignore.
As Brodie and Mary work together (along with Brodie's dog Howler), they develop mutual respect and a tentative friendship, and when they encounter some danger and suspense, they finally give in to their connection and sexual attraction.
I enjoyed the banter and attitude between Mary and Brodie. They definitely kept each other on their toes. I loved Brodie's family as well, and I'm looking forward to reading more about them in the upcoming books.
***I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy provided by the author.***

Wow! Lori Foster hits another home run! This is book 1 in the Road to Love series. Like all Ms. Foster’s series books, it can be read and enjoyed as a stand-alone.
As always with Ms. Foster’s book, the sex scenes are hot. The character development is the best part, however. The people become real and we understand their motivation. The relationships within the family (by blood and by inclination) are believable. The humor adds to the fun. Driven to Distraction is un-put-downable!
Many of Ms. Foster’s recent books include characters from earlier books. This book is a new series with new characters in a new setting. The hero, Brodie Crews, however, is just as wonderful a character as any of our old friends.
Mary Daniels works for a serious collector. Her job is to go to the seller, check for appropriate documentation, and pay for the object and its documentation. She has had this job for a few years. Brodie is hired as the new driver. At first look, she does not like him. He arouses strong feelings in her.
Over the course of the book Brody and Mary become closer and we begin to understand what makes Mary so uptight. Also over the course of the book strange, dangerous situations happen. At the climax we learn the identity of the collector who has been causing trouble and we get our Happily-Ever-After.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader copy of this book.

I'm going to start by saying I love this author and all of her books but with that said this book was hard for me to get into. Lets start with what I loved about the book:
The storyline was amazing and I enjoyed it because it was different and I hadn't read anything like it yet. Brodie was amazing, sweet, and had a sense of humor. He was constantly aware of others feelings and he liked to lookout for the underdogs or those who may not be able to take care of themselves in certain situations. Also his dog, Howler was loyal, sweet, protective, and the story surrounding Brodie rescuing him was so sweet. Ok so lets go to my main issue with this book:
Mary. She was so uptight and out to prove herself to the world that she didn't realize how obnoxious, judgmental, and downright rude she came off as. I tried so hard to like her because as the reader you just know there is a reason for her being this way. you know that she wants to be treated as an equal and come off as I am an independent woman hear me roar which is fine because I am all for strong heroine leads but when they are constantly being condescending to the Hero over and over and over again you can't connect with them. She keep treating Brodie like he was a lowlife and every situation that occurred she yelled at him and belittled him. I honestly wanted Brodie to walk away from her and not look back because he kept apologizing for absolutely nothing. Honestly her attitude was so annoying it took away from their chemistry and romance.
Overall I enjoyed this book but Mary wasn't even likeable until she finally let go of her attitude but that was about at 80% of the book. If she had lost some of her attitude earlier then I could see the connection between her and Brodie but she had me feeling so sorry for him that I couldn't buy into their romance.

Brodie Crews is used to getting what he wants. He would never call himself a ladies man but eh if the shoe fits…… When Mary Daniels clomps her way up his stone steps he know right then and there that he will have her. Getting her to agree on the other hand may take a little more effort on his part.
Mary Daniels has worked hard to make a name for herself, damn hard. No thanks to her mother who dragged them both through the mud when she was younger. She grew up and got out as soon as she could, only returning to her childhood home when her mother overdosed. She tried to change her town’s opinion of poor little Mary but she failed, so she decided she needed to stay away. Now she works exclusively for the elusive Therman Ritter and he wants to hire the Mustang Transport company, specifically Brodie Crews, to help transport some of his most precious finds. Now if she could just get her lady parts to heel anytime she is in the vicinity of Brodie she could focus and get on with her job.
Brodie and Mary set off on adventure after adventure accruing collectibles for Therman’s growing collection. After one exchange results in gunfire, Brodie makes it known to Therman that he won’t stand for any more shady dealings. His brother Jack will handle routing to ensure his and Mary’s safety during the exchanges. That doesn’t sit well with Mary who feels like Brodie is undermining her abilities and lets him know that. Brodie stresses he only wants to protect her and isn’t saying she couldn’t do the job. Slowly he wears down her protective shell and she starts to let him in.
Brodie and Mary have undeniable chemistry from their first meeting, even though he is not completely struck by her beauty at first but works at pulling her from her shell. He gets her to open up about her past and let herself relax a little in life. Realizing that true beauty isn’t just skin deep.
Mary has never had a real family, or so she thought, but she realizes the people she works with have been more a family to her than blood relatives. She is finally home.
Another great series starter from Lori Foster, a 4 ½ star read, I can't wait for the next book in the series to drop. I received an advance copy without expectation for review. Any and all opinions expressed are my own.

Loving almost everything Lori Foster writes, this book was a bit of a letdown for me. I believe this book will kick off a series. In this book Jack and Mary struggle to find a way to build a relationship. Jack is a driver Mary's employer hires to fetch and deliver valuables. Mary is always along for the ride.
I was just not able to connect with the main characters in this book. If you like Lori Foster's writing you may enjoy this book.

Mary is a woman who works for Therman picking up collectibles he has bought . Brodie is the man Therman has chosen to drive Mary to make these transactions . When Mary sees Brodie she is totally against him being the driver and tries to talk Therman out of this . There is attraction between the two. Mary is a gorgeous red head who has childhood issues that she has worked to over come . Brodie is a protective guy who always protects his family and anyone who needs it . Howler is a dog that Brodie rescued and shows what a compassionate man he is . This story is about compassion and had me in tears a few times with its caring . It is beautifully written and conveys the characters and what they feel .

I had such fun with Driven to Distraction by Lori Foster. I closed my Kindle grinning from ear to ear. A rescue dog, character growth and toe-curling moments provided the perfect start to the Roads to Love series. I laughed, held my breath and devoured Brodie and Mary's story.
Fan of Lori Foster's Love Undercover series will adore Driven to Distraction. Brody sort of reminded me of Rowdy. We get a sneak peek of Slow Ride, book two. It releases in April 2019 and will be Jack Crews' story.
Full review will appear on Caffeinated Reviewer November 20th.

I love Lori Foster books! Brodie and Jack are both the kind of male characters I can get behind. Brodie is all the good aspects of masculinity wrapped in a caring, sexy package. Mary, on the other hand, is buttoned up tight. I didn't connect with Mary at all, so I had trouble getting into the story. She took a very long time to open up to the sexiness that is Brodie. There is banter, action, and a DOG, so this book may be just what you need! Overall, it wasn't my favorite Lori Foster book, but I'm still looking forward to the next book in this series!

Driven to Distraction is a great start to Lori Foster's new Road to Love series. She duly delivers an action-packed story with a searing romance between reserved Mary and unabashedly confident Brody.
I'm looking forward to reading Jack's story.

What another fantastic book by Lori Foster! This one might be my favorite one so far. Lori makes reading so much fun and very interesting and this book is no exception! Thanks for another great book!!

Opposites Do Attract💚💙
This had me chuckling right at the start, first impressions or misconceptions and opposites grudgingly attracted.
When buttoned up Mary and openly honest TMI Brodie (I should mention 👀👅👄 too) are thrown closely together by a newly created employee situation, the humor is always there lurking because woman loving Brodie knew how to push not so loving Mary's buttons. He still protected her as they ran into some very dicey, threatening situations, even when she thought she didn't need it, yes, they had words and chemistry to make it confusing, for Mary anyway.
Now Howler, Brodie's rescue just added to all the goodness as a devoted, supersmart, always hungry and naploving furbaby.
The secondary characters were described just enough to be an integral part of this story, but each needing their own HEA now.
Ms Foster can take any occupation, make it realistically interesting, add in romance and you have a fantastic read with a plethora of feels all the way to the happy sigh HEA. Loving that Cover also--mmm.
I received an ARC thru Net Galley and am giving my honest opinion.
Stand alone, Romance, Contemporary, Heat, Intrigue, Humor, Action

Driven to Distraction (Road to Love, #1) by Lori Foster This is the first book in the new ROAD TO LOVE series and I'm thankful to the publisher and #NetGalley for allowing me to read this ARC and this is my honest review. Mary Daniels acquirs rare artifacts for her wealthy boss. Brodie Crews runs Mustang Transport courier service with his brother Jack. Mary needs to hire Brodie as a driver and this is where the fun begins. We get to meet Jack and Ros their mom and Charlotte who is like a sister and runs their office. This book was a fun read with all the laughs, some tears, mystery, hot sex and of course a very HEA. I can't leave out Howler and Matilda... I'm looking forward to SLOW RIDE the next book in the series Jack and Ronnie's story.

“Driven to Distraction” starts Lori Foster’s Road to Love series. When a book has a great beginning, you hope the rest of the book lives up to the expectation. This one does!
Mary Daniels is the liaison for a collector and her boss needs a new driver. Brodie Crews, of Mustang Transport, is the guy her boss wants to hire.
Mary is buttoned-up, using her clothes and hairstyle, as a way to protect herself.
Brodie is laid back and casual. And completely into Mary. He tries to get her to open up and trust him.
Their chemistry is intense, their intimate scenes flaming hot.
“Driven to Distraction” does have a light suspense thread running through it like most Ms. Foster’s books tend to do. However, this story focuses more on the characters than the plot and, for me, is reminiscent of Ms. Foster’s previous works like “Getting Rowdy” and “Fighting Dirty”.
They are also my favorite books by this author and “Driven to Distraction” has been added to that list.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book and can’t wait to read the next in the series, “Slow Ride”.

I enjoyed this book. The hero was adorable especially with his dog. I thought the villain was a little ridiculous. It seemed like a caricature but then he murdered people so it wasn't that funny. I liked how confident the heroine was. Her whole disappearing and coming back with a makeover was kind of odd but I liked how she didn't run away from her feelings

First things first .. I loved Brodie! He was a fantastic hero. Alpha but not a jerk, he was sweet, fun, and super sexy. The way he interacted with his dog was probably my favorite part of the whole book. It made me smile ear to ear every time he did the baby talk to Howler! I really loved reading him.
I struggled at times with Mary. She was hard to warm up to and compared to Brodie came off really cold and hard to relate to. It didn’t take away from the story but there were times I wanted to shake her. (The family dinner scene with Therman was really testing my patience). In the end though, I did warm up to her and really liked her with Brodie.
I also like the side characters in this book. Jack and Charlotte definitely set up well to each get their own book (which I would definitely read) and reading about artifact retrieval was actually really interesting! Overall a fun romance with enough suspense to keep the story going.
**ARC provided by Netgalley in exchange for an honest review **

I received this arc from the publishers in exchange for an honest review.
Lori Foster is my auto buy romance writer. And she didn’t disappoint with her brand new series. I love the little town of Red Oak and the closeness of it all.
Brodie had me hooked from the first chapter if I’m being honest. And he has a dog he loves very very much?? Ugh yes.
I loved Mary. I connected with her a lot. And I understood her story and the struggles she went through.
The storyline had me hooked. I wanted to see how things played out. Especially with Thermans collection at the end.
Overall this book was fabulous and I love the tension and the way Brodie has such a protective streak.
Lori Foster hit this story out of the park!
Totally pick up this book when it’s available November 20th!

Lori Foster’s new series promises to be a hit. Driven to Distraction is about Mary Daniels, who hires Brodie Crews (and his lovable old dog Howler) to pick up purchases for eccentric boss. Out on assignment they find themselves in danger when someone doesn’t want them to finish the job. Brodie has to become more involved than Mary wants. With romance and suspense, Lori has written (as always) a book with great characters. My favorite character though has to be Howler who sleeps a lot, yet seems steals the show every time.

Good romance, tension, suspense. Compelling characters and interesting premise. This will be a fun series to read. Lori Foster does it again!

Yet another great book by one of my favorite authors. Can't wait to read her next book. I highly recommend her to everyone.

I really wanted to like this book. I enjoyed the characters, the arc of their relationship, and the family dynamics too. However, the rest of the plot was insufferable at times.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC.
