This book was was Lori Foster all the way! We had a smoking hot guy Brodie and his adopted dog Howler. Our heroine Mary is a hot uptight woman who didn’t know it or her self worth due to childhood events. There is suspense, great main characters and secondary ones that we’re awesome they had me laughing out loud and gave me a couple of watery moments. The chemistry is off the charts and once they go for it it’s combustible. I’m looking forward to his brother book and hoping we get a book for Charlotte too. This book gives you non stop action from the minute Brodie and Mary start their trip to acquire a rare item her boss. It’s a great read and one I enjoyed. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC give by NETGALLEY of this book and the view are solely mine.

Lori Foster's writing is consistently readable. This title leaves you wanting more and gives you a hint of books to come in the series. While Couriers aren't as exciting as bodyguards, Lori is able to include the element of suspense to kick up the plot.

I can't wait to see where this new series goes from here. Mary and Brodie were proof that opposites attract. I must say that Brodie's relationship with his family and dog really showed what kind of man he was right off. Mary took some time to figure out. Learning each new piece of the puzzle showed what kind of woman she was. Seeing her responses to Brodie was great. As always, Lori Foster knows how to write great characters and great dialogue.

This story had so much potential that I couldn’t wait to read it based on the synopsis. The cover image gave it such an ethereal feel and the quote made my heart sigh. I breezed through the first few chapters, anticipating the growing romance between two people who could not have been more opposite. I persevered through the next portion of the book, sure that so many glowing reviews could not be wrong. And I finished the book in disappointment that the story never panned out the way I had anticipated, hoped, or that such a great idea deserved.

The concept of the book was beautiful. Two people, fated to be together, but destined to keep saying goodbye. Tessa Talman was a new author, struggling with the obligations her sudden fame entailed. Simon was an intellectual, captivated on first sight with Tessa. These two were day and night from one another. Tessa was flighty and non-committal. Simon was precise and methodical. Life taught Tessa not to plan, while Simon was a fan of science and structure. Yet, Tessa forced Simon to spread his wings in order to chase after her after each goodbye.

My initial impression of Tessa was not a positive one. I felt that she was selfish and often cruel in her disregard for others. She played fast and loose with other people in an attempt to insulate herself, and it came across to me as insensitive and harsh. The way she behaved throughout the entire book, starting with her unforgivable actions when she and Simon first got together, all the way through to the secrets she kept from him, she was always only thinking of herself and her emotions. She had a man that loved her to distraction and was willing to follow her all over the globe to show how he felt about her. And she did nothing to reciprocate. I found her thoroughly unlikeable.

Simon on the other hand, was perfect. He was kind and loyal and deserved more than Tessa. It actually seemed to me that he spent the majority of the book in tears, and with the magnitude of the constant betrayals that Tessa inflicted, I couldn’t blame him.

This book was not for me. The concept was fantastic, the writing was lyrical, but the execution fell short and frankly left me feeling betrayed for getting invested in this relationship.

This new series is going to be fun! Mary works for an eccentric wealthy man who is competitively and discreetly collecting rare artifacts. He sends Mary to offer Brodie a job as a courier; he will drive to the destination, she will handle the payment and receipt of the object. But when Mary first meets Brodie, he doesn't make a good impression. She immediately decides she would rather work with his brother. Too bad, her boss is set on Brodie.

Mary prides herself on her professionalism and self-control, but Brodie constantly pushes her buttons trying to break through the wall she has erected. And then there is his dog Howler, a 90-pound rescue that accompanies Brodie everywhere, including on their car trips. As Mary gets to know Brodie better he begins to chip away at her defenses, and Brodie's feelings for Mary start to change as he begins to see through those defenses.

I loved the interplay between these two, his teasing was hilarious, always pushing her buttons to get a reaction. It takes a while to get to know Mary, but in the last part of the book she seems to blossom. The villain in this book was really weird, but he was even funny at times, in a disturbed way.

Mary Daniels was determined to make a better life herself by herself. Working for Therman Ritter a wealthy collector was a dream job for her. Meeting the new driver Brody Crews was the one thing she couldn’t control in her life. Not one to let people in or close to her Brody was her one weakness. One look and Brody was hooked on the closed off Mary. Yet he was determined to break down her walls. The chemistry between these two was off the charts. Can’t wait for the next book in this series. An amazing new series that I read in one sitting, I couldn’t put it down! Mary is the assistant to a wealthy older man who collects things, lots of things. Her job is to organize the pickups and make the exchange for whatever item her boss purchased. She is tasked to interview a new courtier to drive her to the pickups. Brodie, along with his brother and sister, run Mustang Courtier. The first meet between Brodie and Mary doesn’t go very well and Mary wants nothing to do with Brodie but she is stuck with him because her boss admires Brodie. Brodie is determined to get Mary to unwind and to see that life isn’t just about work. Mary has kept herself apart from everyone in her life and Brodie and their attraction to one another makes it hard to stay aloof. When both of their lives are endangered by a competitive collector, Brodie uses it as an excuse to keep Mary as close to him as she will allow. Brodie won’t loose at keeping Mary save and getting her to see how serious he is about keeping her forever. I loved this book, it has lots of action, humor and hot romance. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series! *I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader copy of this book.*

I LOVED this book!! Driven to Distraction is book 1 in the Road to Love series. Brodie, the main hero is Alpha Hot, rescued his dog Howler, that goes everywhere with him, and makes for a great book boyfriend. Mary is professional and cautious. She doesn't like how Brodie makes her feel and is only spending time with him because it is her job. The two embark on a road trip together and the push and pull chemistry keeps you wanting more and enjoying the ride! A Great HEA Read.

Mary Daniels's job is acquiring rare artifacts for her wealthy boss. Brodie Crews is the man hired to be her driver in her acquisitions. Her carefully crafted persona is slipping and her hidden past is in danger of being revealed the more time she spends with Brodie. He can't imagine what it is in her past that has her so uptight but would really like to find out. An unexpected enemy has them in danger of losing the artifact and their lives. Will they and their romance survive?
I enjoy everything that Lori Foster writes and this is no exception. A truly enjoyable, fun read.

Brodie is a character you just want to see in person!! Sigh...if he were only real! Men like this exist right?? Somewhere? Anywho, this author and her characters!!! You see and hear and feel their emotions. Mary is smart and reserved. Out of fear or necessity "on her terms" is how she sees things. She keeps everyone at a distance. Then, she meets sexy, broad shouldered, protective Brody! I even loved the dog Howler! So cute and loveable and loyal just like the other characters in this book. Good read! It seemed to lag somewhere in the early middle of the read, but picked up. I will read Jack's book when it comes out. I enjoyed the prologue!

I have alwats enjoyed this author. I didn't pay attention to who wrote it this time. Once i got to the end, I was like this author has to go on my TBR list, only to realize she already is. Such great storytelling. Lori Foster never lets me down.

Just finished this fun book and really enjoyed it. Brodie and Mary are attracted to each other from the beginning but she wants to keep their relationship professional. Brodie is intrigued by this buttoned up red-haired beauty and has a great time provoking her. Mary works for a collector who sends her and her driver, Brodie, to pick up his latest acquisitions. Sounds simple but there are other collectors who don't want them to succeed. Loved this fun, sweet, sexy, sassy book!

Great new start to a series. I can see all the wonderful places it could go with some amazing characters and cutest dogs. The ending was a little flat for such a big set up. I expected a little more for it to just skim over and end.

Who wouldn’t love a guy who does so much for a dog? If he cares for an animal that much, just imagine how he would treat someone he loves. I think that Mary Daniels will find out, even if Brody’s not what she expects. Ms Foster does a great job of creating families that are not blood related but might as well be. As usual, this book was an easy read with characters that you want to get to know better.

Brodie is a transport driver and meets Mary when she goes to hire him for her eccentric boss Therman. It’s Lust at first sight for both of them. Brodie can’t keep his hands to himself. When things get hairy on a job with a competing collector, Brodie takes the opportunity to tell Mary how he feels. This book was great and I can’t wait for the next one.

Driven to Distraction is the start of a new series by Foster, and I loved both Brodie and Mary. The family relationships, the friendships - it was all very good.

The character development was so well done, and the way Foster managed to bring a bit of mystery and suspense to the story made it even better.

I can't wait to read more in this series.

In “Driven to Distraction” by Lori Foster we are introduced to an all new family of characters. In this first book in the Road to Love series we meet Mary and Brodie. Mary works for a wealthy collector who wants Brodie to be her driver when she is sent to pick up his current find. They do not start off their work relationship on a very good note – a decent hangover, a little groping and some pleading are all front and center in their first meeting.

Mary is very straight laced and Brodie pretty much says whatever comes to mind – with no filter. But when there is a new piece becoming available and a collector who is desperate to get it, Brodie will do anything to protect Mary. But will his everything be enough to make sure everyone makes it out unscathed.

There are some great secondary characters that are introduced and will be front and center in the books to come. And you just have to love a great dog named Howler - who can sleep more hours then there is in a day but is as fierce as they come when he needs to be.

Now I have always had my favorite Lori Foster male character - Cannon (No Limits) – and I thought it would stay that way but Brodie can definitely hold his own with me now.
