I really like the way the material was presented and my dharma type was right on. It was interesting to follow along and see what I needed to do to bring out the most of my dharma type. Made perfect sense.
The formatting on the ARC was a little wonky but acceptable with a little effort. I liked the exercises and suggestions. I think the material gets a little dry when describing personal experiences.
I was attracted to this book as it appears to explore different topics to most of those in the spirituality genre, and I love to learn about such things. What makes it pretty special is that it encompasses wisdom from spiritual masters from across each of the major religions so can cater for many different people due to this. I do, however, feel that there are better books on the market which explore the same methods in a more compelling way.
The core of the book is based around 11 methods to help one to move towards spiritual enlightenment and setting each of us on our own personal path to betterness. Each of the techniques is easy to follow and understand, even to a complete novice. Although no doubt most (if not all) of the information is credible, unfortunately, what really let the whole thing down was that it was written in a rather dry manner leading to it becoming very tedious and a hard slog to get through. However, I did appreciate the contrast between the instructional parts of the book and the theoretical aspects which gave background on the different methods. Overall, this is a sound self-help guide that explains that spirituality is inherent in each of us and attempts to guide us towards a more enlightened path.
Many thanks to Destiny Books for an ARC. I was not required to post a review, and all thoughts and opinions expressed are my own.
I enjoyed this book and the eleven practices found inside to help us discover our personal path. This book is filled with mantras and meditations to help us find our own path to enlightenment.
I would like to thank Netgalley and the Publisher for providing me with a copy of this book. This is my honest and unbiased opinion of it.
