Tarot of Cocktails wasn't what I expected, but that's not a bad thing. It had great recipes and photos, and information ('technique'). It's the first time I've noticed photos of drinks shot from the top, and I'm not sure if that misses some visuals (layering of alcohol?) - an interesting perspective. I also laughed at my own reaction of seeing a drink surrounded by vegetables ("Break of Dawn"), or by a pair of statue hands ("The Gold Standard").. It didn't seem appealing, but I know better than to judge a drink/food by it's cover. Overall, I think it would be an interesting gift choice. I think I'm just missing quite a bit (inside jokes?) seeing as how I'm not into Tarot itself.
A unique little book combining the art of tarot with the alchemy of cocktails. I loved the creative names for the drinks. Some of the ingredients were a bit out-there, and I don't care for many of the flavors/textures included here (spicy, milky, etc.), but I did find a few recipes to try out.
This was a very cute intersection of tarot and bartending. I love the tarot card illustrations for each drink. The recipes themselves were original and many I am keen to try, as they look super tasty. Beautiful photography throughout. I highly recommend! You also don’t have to be into tarot cards just to appreciate the very cool recipes.
