Tristian is a hit man, his next target isIsabel. He finds out he knows her. She's from his past, a past he doesn't remember. She remembers though. She remembers how much they loved each other. Now he's torn between wanting to know about his past and doing his job. He's feeling things for her he doesn't think he's ever felt. But is that enough?

What a fast and short read. You got to know enough about Isabel and Tristian. I like the bad boy/hero type Tristian is. The book ended on a cliffhanger. However, I'm not sure if I loved the book or not. It was interesting but I don't know if I'm invested it their story.

I thoroughly enjoyed this piece of escapism and my time out from a hectic world. The story grabs you from the outset and pulls you in and the storytelling really made it worth reading. Characterisation was on point and I know I will be looking out for new publications from this author or similar reads in the future. A recommended read.

A suspenseful fast-paced story you can't wait to finish. I highly recommend The Red Ledger Part 1.

Once you begin, you won't stop until the last page, it's that compelling.

Meredith Wild has done it again!! This is a novella length story. It is told in first person by both Isabel and Tristan. The book is full of suspense and definitely heat!!

I have yet to find a book by Meredith Wild that I haven’t enjoyed!!

Both Isabel Foster and Tristan Stone tell this story in first person. Neither one knows all the answers. Meredith Wild offered Part 1 of The Red Ledger knowing that she could hook her readers into needing to purchase Part 2. She offers two great characters, suspense, and romance in an exotic location. Part 1 was way too short for me. I need Part 2.

Just wow! Powerfully exciting. The action is on a constant move and the sexual tension between Tristan and Isabel is undeniable. Cliffhanger, and I can’t wait to read the next book. Provided by NetGalley.

I cannot wait to read the rest of these. Loved every page of it. I ate this right up. Even though it’s very short, I couldn’t get enough of it. I think I might go get the bind up editions for my local bookstore.

I don’t know how to feel about this one. At just under 120 pages it’s easy to get through but was it engaging enough to make you want to read the next instalments? Not really. Tristan and Isabel are high school lovers, after graduation they break up and Tristan enlists in the army. Years later, Tristan is hired to kill none other than Isabel, who is on the run. This book could’ve gone a different route and been more interesting but to be honest, I wasn’t a fan of the main characters.

A good enough story, but not one to keep me interested enough to read Part 2. Well written. I would perhaps be interested in another story the author had to tell.

Meredith Wild does a great job writing serial style books. This is the first installment of The Red Ledger where we meet Isabel and Tristan. Tristan is a killer for hire who has no memory of his past. When he is told to kill Isabel, we learn that Isabel once knew Tristan.
This book is full of action and suspense. It definitely leaves the reader wanting more, and I can't wait to read the next installment.

So I read Hardwired and the other books by Wild and I did enjoy them. I went into this with high hopes, thinking I would get the same out of this. I didn't make it past the 20% mark. It wasn't engaging and the writing wasn't great.

What a great fast read and a very fast action book. This is the first time I have read a book written by Meredith Wild but it will not be the last. I am going to continue reading this wonderful series! Thanks Meredith!

An intriguing story but somehow i couldn't connect. Even though I wanted to know what happens next, I don't think that pull is strong enough to get the next book.

This is a really good start to a new series. It's fast paced and suspenseful, filled with drama and angst. I didn't want to put it down and it leaves me itching for the next book.

Tristan has no past. He has spent the last 3 years as a killing machine, performing hits and being paid handsomely. All he remembers past 3 years ago are bits and pieces in his dreams.

Isabel has no future since her heart was broken. She sees Tristan in a crowd and can't believe he is in Rio too. And that he's alive. But it isn't a rosy reunion - while she appears to be familiar, he can't remember her at all. But Tristan is there to work - and the target is Isabel. He can't kill her yet though. She just might have the key to unlocking his past.

Fast-paced, but it just couldn't capture my attention enough for me to seek out the rest of the story.

My first Meredith Wild book and I don't think it's for me. I think it's a bit cliche. It was really hyped so I should have known better.
