Tristan and Isabel are my newest character obsession.
I just finished Part 1 and need to read Part 2. This book was mysterious, thrilling, and had me on the edge of my seat. Meredith Wild is one of my favorite authors who knows how to get your attention and have you craving more. Isabel and Tristan are both complex characters that I am excited to read more about in the next parts of this book. After 6 years, their paths cross again only this time Tristan doesn't know who she is, yet he can't stay away. He has a mission to kill her, and now that he is having trouble following through they are both on the run. Will they be able to survive this? I don't know yet but I am off to read part 2 to find out. The Red Ledger Part 1 is thrilling and action-packed and just know you won't be able to put it down once you start reading.

It's a shame this book is divided in volumes because it leaves you wanting more. The story is action packed, intriguing, mysterious and with a little bit of romance. This is a great introduction to the history between Tristan and Isabel but more than that, it goes right to the point of what matters. Their present. And since Tristan decided to claim her as his (not that she had a problem with that) he will make her survival his new mission. This first part is the preparation to the battle that is coming. With few to non people to trust, lives to save and truths to uncover Tristan will have his work cut out for him. It is exiting at every page.

This story is about Tristan and Isabel. Tristan and Isabel were high school sweethearts and upon graduation Tristan joined the military and broke up with Isabel. Isabel is still harboring her love for Tristan almost 7 years later without a single word from him she refuses to fall in love with someone else. This book has some great intrigued and when the book is over you have a lot more questions than you have answers for. I think I understand where the book is going but it doesn’t work for me… I think because I don’t feel the connection between Isabel and Tristan. I think I enjoy Tristan being a gun for hire.. but he seems to be seriously waffling in his character. I have no issues with this book being a serial book because those can be quite addicting.. my issue is this book doesn’t quite work as a serial because there isn’t enough intrigue in the book. I am not writing this author off because I bet the skill she put into the last 7-10 minutes of the book would be amazing if writing as a full length novel.

Meredith Wild, what am I supposed to do now, woman?!

This is a MUST READ. No argument about it. Tristan Red just bypassed Blake Landon (Wild’s Hacker Series) in my book. Who is Tristan Red? And why is there a price on Isobel Foster’s head?

The Red Ledger keeps you on your toes from start to finish. It is jam packed with suspense, mystery, and action. It is unlike anything you have ever read by Meredith Wild, that’s for sure.

We are left with a wild cliffhanger ending that is sure to keep you up at night until you get your hands on part 2!

The Red Ledger :1 - Meredith Wild

Tristan Stone is not the man he once was and when he’s sent to Rio on a contract, his foggy past comes crashing back into focus.

Isabel Foster can’t believe the man she desperately loved and lost has materialised. She’s frantic to know what happened to Tristan but also to see if their passion still burns.

A fabulously written serialised book by Meredith Wild, one that I’m now holding out to read the next part of.

Great characters and an intriguing and detailed back story make this a must read! Bring on more of this fascinating story.

The Red Ledger part 1 ends a cliffhanger. I thought it was a good read and a page turner. It kept you on the edge of your sit and it was filled with twist and turns from the first chapter to the last. These book left me with many emotions about these two characters Isabel and Tristan. I look forward to reading part 2 in these series. I was provided with an advanced copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley exchange for a honest review.

I received this ARC for an honest review. I don't write spoilers in my reviews. This ends in a cliffhanger. I NEED MORE! Can't wait to read part 2. Tristen and Isabel...what a wonderful couple. Meredith Wild caught my attention from the very beginning. I hated to see the end of part 1. It kept me on my toes. I just kept thinking what is going to happen next. I have so many questions. Will Tristen follow Isabel? Will they get away? Will they survive? Counting down the days until part 2. MUST READ!

Lucky to receive this book through NetGalley. At the beginning I was nervous to start it. I wanted to love it like everyone else did. I'm glad I did start it I was instantly hooked. Isabel is a English teacher in Rio looking for herself. Sure enough her past finds her but not in a good way.

Tristan is intrigued by Isabel at first sight. He gets a weird feeling about her. Due to lack of memory he doesn't remember her but she sure does remember him. This book entails drama, suspense, and romance. I was so destroyed when this part ended with a cliffhanger dying for part 2 now.

Some people measure life in hours. Days. Weeks. I measure mine in kills. A covert military mission gone wrong robbed me of my memory and any link to my past. This is my existence now. I execute and survive. Nothing more, nothing less. I was ready to write Isabel Foster’s name in my ledger of unfortunate souls until she uttered the one word that could stop the bullet meant for her. My name.She knows my face. She knows me. When I started reading I couldn't put it down.Meredith Wild is magnifysent writer.I cannot wait to read more of there books.Keep up the great work.You should definitely read this book.Can't wait for the next book.

This is a part 1 so yes it leaves you with a cliffhanger. Just so you know.

This is a great start to this series. It is suspenseful, thrilling and has some heart stopping moments. I was hooked from the beginning. Meredith Wild took the leap into a suspense world and she did a great job. This is a quick read that will leaving you wanting so much more! I really love Tristan.

Isabel Foster is living in Brazil, trying to move on from losing the love of her life. Tristan left her to join the Army and months after sent her a letter saying they were over. She is trying to move on but is not really succeeding.

Tristan is a killer for hire, he has no memory of his past, but that may change when he is faced with his next kill. He has a feeling he should know her, will that be enough to keep him from pulling the trigger? I can't wait for part 2!

I have to start by saying I had no idea that I needed to buy 6 books to get the full story and that seems really unnecessary to me. I wished this story was longer. The story moved at a slower pace than I had expected and I did not connect with the characters as I had hoped. With that being said, this wasn't a terrible read, it just wasn't a story for me.

This book has me hooked. My heart breaks for Isabel, holding onto a love that meant everything to her, only too learn that it may only be one sided. Tristan isn’t the same man Isabel knew but pieces of his past are coming back. Both of their lives were turned upside down when Tristan broke her heart all those years ago, but reunited can there love return? I can’t wait too read book 2 because I need to know what happens next.

THE RED LEDGER PART 1 By Meredith Wild

The is the story about Tristan Red and Isabel Foster. They are former high school sweethearts that broke up when he enlisted in the service and she went to college. He was wounded in action and lost his memory. He has turned into an assassin who has Isabel on his list. He goes to do the hit and she is asleep and while dreaming says his name. He feels compelled to find out more about her before he follows his orders. This story is fast paced and addictive.
I am loving this book and can not wait to read more! Meredith Wild is a great author that can be counted on to weave a solid story with great characters! I received an ARC from Netgalley for my honest review.

I'm looking forward to reading the next part of this book. It reminded me a little of North by Northwest, the Hitchcock movie. A very good romantic thriller!

I write this review with mixed feelings about Red Ledger and it’s overall appeal. First let me start by addressing the things that irk me about this book:
1) Isabel now 24, has never recovered from a teenage love that Tristan ended, 6 months after leaving for the military, yet she’s happy to have awesome, meaningless sex;
2) Tristan now 24 and missing crucial parts of his memory was mysteriously enlisted as a gun for hire at the tender age of 21….really?;
3) Tristan just happens to be the hit man hired to murder Isabel;
4) The first person monologue throughout is grating and stilted;
5) I detest serial stories about the same couple, which evolve into multiple full-length books.
But I suppose if I’m blatantly honest, what really irks me the most, and is the reason I will keep reading this serial story, is I’m compelled as a reader to discover the answers to the mysteries within:
1) What happened to Tristan in Afghanistan?
2) How did Tristan end up as a gun for hire?
3) What did Tristan do that has Mateus in his debt?
4) Who is Jay?
5) Why was Isabel targeted?
So basically, this is a story that will either appeal, or it won’t. There are many things I struggle with, but there is also so much that I need to know. All I can say is that patience will be required as we wait for each new instalment.
