This book is about inspiration, it is about letting go and finding what makes you free. It certainly is not a "how to paint book", there are no physical pictures in this book - those pictures are left to your interpretation to the things the artist in you sees. It awakes the potential of everyday things and urges you to adapt, practise and use what is around you for inspiration. This is where a sketch book, pad or scrap of paper comes into play.
Being a person who at times must find the perfect scene or item to paint, I found this book very freeing - as the perfect pictures will never happen if all one does is wait to find it.
I really found this book very helpful, the fact that it makes you think, look, research and sketch. Remind you that enjoyment is the key and there are no completely bad painting - there are good bits even in those.
This book is bursting with creative ideas and projects to get you flowing. It would be great for anyone who has hit a block or just feels they need a bit of inspiration. I was surprised there were no pictures at all, but in all fairness they are not necessary. There is a wealth of ideas and it would also be a great book to keep on the coffee table and just dip into randomly as a bit of a starter. A great resource - Thank You.
