I am not a typical fan of this genre of book. While Ms. Reisz's writing is great, this book confused me. The sub is the teacher, the punishment was contrived, and overall it just didn't work for me.
Jason "Still" Waters, former championship bull rider and bonafide cowboy, meets Simone Levine at a photo shoot because she's the photographer and he's the subject. Jason comes off very quiet, mannerly and serious, whereas Simone is a lot more vivacious and outgoing. In an effort to make Jason more comfortable with having his picture taken, Simone engages him in conversation and slowly begins to get him to open up after she shares a bit about herself. Jason is used to being very proper and gentlemanly with Southern manners heavily ingrained in him. But really, he has dominant tendencies that he cannot act out upon so he keeps it under wraps. Simone is much less formal, and she's been present in The Original Sinners series as a submissive. This leads to the perfect segue for Jason to explore that side of him with someone who is very willing and desirable, too. I liked their sexy, but playful, dynamic especially once Jason opened up more and started talking quite a bit. I loved seeing the more liberated side of him come out and how he learned to be more comfortable in his own skin, his own family upbringing and consequences be darned. This is a light erotic BDSM read with a super hunky cowboy and a pink haired heroine from NYC who discover that unconventional love is still love.
Set in the world of her series with Mistress Nora, it stands alone with a few visits from Nora and Mister S. I actually would have preferred to read this before any of the others, the perfect introduction for a novice in the world of kink. Simone teaches Jason what he needs to know to be himself, he struggles with how he was raised and the life he wants. It's definitely erotic and explicit, fair warning, but if you are reading reviews for a Reisz book you know what to expect. I received an early copy through Netgalley, review was voluntary.
Picture Perfect Cowboy is the quintessential Tiffany Reisz book. As touching as it is kinky, she manages to draw out the very best in both emotions flawlessly. It's always wonderful to be back in the world of the Original Sinners, this time as Jason Waters finds his inner Dom with the free-spirited Simone. The brooding cowboy finds that the charming photographer is the answer to his naughty prayers and opens up a whole new world that he anxiously embraces.
Their chemistry is apparent right off the bat as Simone takes sexy photos of Jason for a charity calendar. I was caught up in their attraction as well and loved how at ease Simone made Jason feel, having to take off his clothes for the shoot. And as their discussion takes on a more forbidden nature, I felt as if I was getting submission and kink lessons as well as Simone lets Jason in on her lifestyle and why it might very well be his calling.
There are plenty of erotic trysts as Simone and Jason become slave and master and it's all done with the right attitude and a great deal of tenderness. Reisz is always respectful of the lifestyle and gives both her readers and her characters the chance to learn about it the right way. And with cameo appearances by two of the most beloved members of the Original Sinners family, who provide the guidance needed to wade through a possible forever love involving Simone and Jason, this extended novella is the perfect taste of what Reisz's series is all about.
I loved every word and was thrilled that a bonus short story involving Mistress Nora was included as well.
One can never truly get enough of the Original Sinners and this newest treat just has me clamoring for more. Picture Perfect Cowboy is erotica as only Tiffany Reisz can deliver and is well deserving of a solid 5 stars!
Wow, okay so this book sounded a little like the Men at Work books Ms. Reisz wrote for Harlequin a few years back. I really enjoyed them. And I enjoy Ms. Reisz's writing. She is a talented author. What I must have not read in the book synopsis was that this story is set in her Original Sinners world and there are mentions of characters from that series. I had to use my safe word shortly into the story because the severity of the masochism was a little too much for me.
I think fans of Ms. Reisz will enjoy the book and new readers who enjoy stories with BDSM undertones would also take a chance on PICTURE PERFECT COWBOY. This one is just a little too much for me.
Is there anything more delightful than an introverted, kinky cowboy? Not much. This book almost reads like an instruction manual on “How to teach someone to embrace his or her inner kinkiness” and I say this in a good way as I enjoyed Simone’s patience with the process.
Jason is a closeted kink lover until Simone brought to life all his fantasies. His path to embracing all goes deep and fulfilling. Be your beautiful self, Jason. You are kind and honourable, a shining star and a champion in every sense of the word.
Very enjoyable.

If there ever was a relation as purely and utterly submissive as a writer/reader(fangirl) then Tiffany has one with her followers. She sits firmly on the throne as a queen while readers kneel at her feet. She has a manservant Andrew or else the girlservants would line up by her door demanding pleasure at her hand holding the pen!
Each book Tiffany writes gives us a deeper insight into the Dom/Sub dynamic, and makes me fall harder for her as a reader. What she writes makes it all so simple, so safe to understand. By throwing the fear of the unknown out of the equation of BDSM relationships she truely has given a new meaning to this lifestyle and it's practitioners.
She finds a reluctant Master-Jason "Still" Waters in the unlikeliest of settings in a tiny town in the middle of Horse country- Kentucky. He's reluctant because he is struggling to come to guilt free terms with his desires and compelling needs.
“There’s the lonely where you’re lonely for someone else. But there’s also a kind of loneliness where you’re lonely for your real self. You think you’re missing someone in your life and it turns out it’s you. Maybe you felt alone so much because you had to hide the real Jason from yourself for so long.”
He's the Calender boy of Lonely Souls, a man who ran from Montana to Kentucky but can't run away from his true being as a Master. It takes a pink haired quirky photographer to pull him out of his misery and spell it out for him that they fit perfectly together, cause she's a natural born submissive.
His ingrained morals fight his prescribed norms and the result is a moral dilemma. But as EL James so eloquently put - If it's consensual and safe, what happens behind closed doors is none of anybody's business!Hear ! Hear !
“People will say they respect ‘women’ and what they actually respect is some fantasy ideal of women that has almost nothing in common with the real women all around them".
So on they go to the bedroom, to the kitchen, on the bed, on the floor, against the wall, in the shower, in the barn......using every improvised tool available, and I'm so jealous right now !!!
The story is obviously about kinky sex but it's more so about self awareness and acceptability too. No one is more harsher or judgemental than you, on yourself. We really need to start accepting ourselves more and society be damned!
“Twenty-nine years is a long time to live with a lie in your head. A few days with you, no matter how blissful, might not be enough time to completely dislodge that lie. And the lies our parents tell us have barbs in them. They not only stick, but they tear when you pull them out.”
I loved how family is defined in the book. Jason's family who is supposed to give him unconditional support is livid at him for following his heart. They almost threaten to disavow him!!
Whereas Simone's "family" of Master Søren and Mistress Nora have her back, no questions asked !
“If you break her heart, they’ll never find your body.”
“I guess you know people,”
“No,” she said. “I am people.”
I've never been more aroused in my life !! Eleanor, I'm in love with you ....again!😍
Always a delight to get her book and open the first page and roam my eyes on brand new words. Tiffany is a sure shot, real deal, all floggers and paddle and spanking included
Cannot wait for what she dreams up next. More of jellybean & Rusty....yes mistress!🙏
5 Breakfast or/and Blowjob stars
As a new reader of the Original Sinners series, I think this story works well as an introduction and a standalone story. Though there are a few cameos by previous story characters, they don't overpower the main romance between Jason and Simone.
Jason is a retired bull rider with a heart of gold, money to live a comfortable life training horses on his ranch, and a desire for kink. He's a closet dominant who's never had the chance to act out his fantasies - until a photo shoot with boudoir photographer and sexy submissive Simone.
I enjoyed the story and the romance that plays out between these very different people. Though their fondness for kink makes them compatible in the bedroom, they do come from opposite backgrounds. In this scenario Simone is the experienced one when it comes to the kink lifestyle and there's a fair amount of discussion where she helps Jason come to terms with his desires and assures him that he's not a bad or shameful person for wanting to spank his partner, or have a willing sex slave (which Simone happily obliges). Consent is emphasized and the idea that Simone likes what Jason does to her is a turn on for them both. It goes without saying that this is an erotic romance with some steamy scenes, some on a rougher edge. It will definitely tell you if the original sinners series is something you want to read, and an enjoyable story for fans of the series. It's a bit of lust/love at first sight and some realities to work through to get their happy ending.
Very unique perspective
Tiffany Reisz has written many wonderful BDSM books. Picture Perfect Cowboy was wonderful but had a totally different
feel and slant to it, which made it an unusual BDSM read.
I liked the creative way Simone and Jason meet and how it evolves into an awakening for the hero rather than the heroine. I enjoyed the unique yet sexy storyline, I think readers will be pleased with this romance.
I received an advance reader copy via Netgalley.
I can’t say this is my fave from Tiffany.
I liked Jason and Simone and all the kinky dirty times they have but I felt it was just one scene on a continuous loop. I wanted more story.
His constant conflict about not being who he truly is was infuriating. I agree with Simone he’s weak-willed.
I have to say for a bull rider he came across as wimpy at times.
Jason’s friend was supposed to be in calendar but at last minute couldn’t do it, so he asked him to fill in for him. Simone is the photographer who happens to be submissive. As they talk, Simone notices his reactions. Could this cowboy enjoy her lifestyle? Why is he so shy? Can she get him out of his shell and allow him to be happy?
4.5 STARS!
I've come to the conclusion that anything Queen Reisz writes is a must read. My love affair with this phenomenal author began with The Red. I was blown away, shocked, and intrigued. Soon after I jumped at the chance to read The Chateau, which involves Kingsley, a key character in the Original Sinners series. Then finally came Picture Perfect Cowboy. I was immediately drawn to the blurb and it also contains important characters from the OS series. On that note, you don't necessarily have to read the other books in the series to read this one. But I'm hoping to start book one real soon.
What I loved about this book was that it was sweet, romantic, and filled with tons of angsty feels. It didn't get as dark and twisted like the previous books I've read.
Jason "Still" Waters is a retired professional bull rider who grew up in a conservative household. Afraid of not being accepted by his family, he hides his dominant tendencies. Chance brings Simone aka Spanky, a professional sub into his life, who soon teaches him how to hone his most sexual fantasies and desires #kinkfest
Jason and Simone couldn't be more different and that's what made them one of my favorite couples! They're compatible sexually and soon strong feelings arise that scare them both. But will Jason fight for his Spanky or will he allow his upbringing to overrule what he wants?
Kinky and everything you love and want from a BDSM book, Picture Perfect Cowboy was off the charts sexy and romantic! All Hail Queen Reisz, she did it again!
Picture Perfect Cowboy is book ten in The Original Sinners series by Tiffany Reisz. First, I want to say that for myself, I read books to take myself to places I haven’t gone, to experience things through someone else’s eyes that I know I won’t experience. So, even though I can’t relate to the life style these two enjoy, I thought this book was so darn hot it’s a miracle my e-reader didn’t combust. It was well written and I loved both of the main characters. How could I not? One sexy cowboy and one sweet photographer. These two made for one hot read.
Jason Waters was a champion bull rider. He won about every trophy and award there was to win. Until a serious injury made him re-evaluate things and he decided to retire. Now he lives in Kentucky and owns a horse training ranch. Jason is twenty nine years old and was raised by ultra conservative parents. His father ruled with a strong hand, literally. It was pounded into him to always respect others, especially women. That a man NEVER raises his hand to a woman. His older sister was also raised the same way but with words instead of physical reinforcements.
Jason has never been able to get interested in any particular woman. The reason is because Jason has a dark secret. The fantasies that live in his head are things that he is sure are wrong. He dreams of being dominant over a woman, of her bowing to his every sexual need, of doing things to her that he is sure are wrong. That is, until he met Simone.
Simone Levine is a photographer primarily, but is also a professional submissive. Jason has volunteered to pose for a calendar for charity and when Simone is photographing him, she tells him of her other profession. Jason has never met this woman before, but he is strangely comfortable with her. Can he finally tell someone his secret? Someone that might be able to understand? Someone that might be able to help him understand his own feelings?
Simone can’t deny that she is attracted to Jason. But more than that, she can see how troubled he is with his own thoughts and feelings. She volunteers to go home with him and help him. As she lowers Jason’s inhibitions and allows him to finally experience all the things he has only ever fantasized about, she also finds herself falling for him.
“She wanted him to order her not to fall in love with him. A simple order to give. Maybe an impossible one to follow.”
After experiencing something beyond his wildest expectations, he convinces Simone to stay a few days longer. He wants to explore his growing feelings for this sweet, wonderful woman that has helped him so much. At the same time, the conflict is still happening in his head. That no matter how many times Simone tells him that she enjoys what he is doing to her, that what they are sharing is wonderful, the disapproval of others still plagues him.
“You are too good to be true.”
“That’s funny, sir.”
“And why’s that?”
“I keep thinking the same thing about you.”
So, while the concept of actually enjoying pain, enjoying completely submitting to someone’s every whim, is not something I could ever accept, I loved Simone. I loved her sweetness, her acceptance of both herself and others. And also the sweet patience she had with Jason in helping him to understand himself.
And Jason, yeah, he was one sexy dominant cowboy. He was such a good man and I actually loved that the different parts of himself fought over what was right and wrong. For that reason alone, making Simone happy will always be his priority.
So turn down that air conditioner, ladies. You’ll need to for this book. I hope you’ll enjoy meeting Jason and Simone as much as I did.
“You’re everything I never knew I needed.”
The usual Tiffany sexiness and amazingness. She never disappoints and this is another great addition to the sinners series. Don’t worry, some of your favorites make an appearance.
This is the first book by this author that I've read and honestly I'm not impressed.
The couple lacked any chemistry between them. If it was just supposed to be a "one night stand" I'd be okay with it, but when the main character is saying she could see herself falling in love only hours after meeting him we have a problem. In order to believe this to be a possibility, I need to feel some sort of a connection beyond the physical exploration of BDSM between them.
And the whole sudden slave/master thing... it felt odd. It didn't feel natural how they started playing together or how the conversation started. It felt very forced.
Unfortunately, I grew bored. I skimmed through and found the bulk of the story seemed to be based on their play scenes without much more.

I have not yet started the Original Sinners series but I can give you a heck yeah that I'll be going back and reading every single one of those bad boys!! I've only read The Red before this and that one showed me what a great, descriptive author Tiffany is. This book only cemented that theory to the nth degree for me. How does one reconcile the attitude and beliefs that were beaten into you your whole life with the fantasies and desires of your heart? Jason Waters comes across as a grumpy old man while keeping a secret that could cause him to lose everything he holds dear. Simone is just doing her job but a conversation and a gut feeling leads her to bring out Jason's feelings, thoughts, fantasies and secrets. Is it possible to find the one person, quite by chance, who has the ability to not only be sweet but to fulfill every single one of Jason's every waking dream and thought? He will have to learn to accept that there is nothing wrong with his thoughts, his fantasies and how he wants to live his life. Will Simone be able to show him that? We get flashes of characters from the Original Sinners and that only makes me what to go back and read THEIR story, their history!
I’ve read one of Reisz’s novels before, but after reading this one, i’m fairly certain that she is my absolute favorite romance/smut author!! Holy cow, this was SO steamy but so dang cute at the same time!!
I absolutely loved Simone and Jason, as well as the premise. I didn’t expect this book to go into any kind of BDSM, but it was so well written and I actually enjoyed reading about it!
HIGHLY recommend if you’re just looking for a good time!
I liked the idea of the book but needed more of a build up and story arc between the characters. Everything just seemed too rushed. It was too much, too soon. I think I liked the authors full length novels much better.

This had more graphic content than I was expecting. I struggled with the issue of consent and choices that the characters made. Not something I would recommend to anyone.
With an equal mix of super sweet and coming to terms with his kink, Jason is unforgettable. Simone is sensitive and accepting as the strong submissive who both reaches and teaches him. Picture Perfect Cowboy is a solid choice for those new to BDSM stories or new to Reisz's Original Sinners Series.
