Picture Perfect Cowboy is the 10th installment in Tiffany Reisz's The Original Sinner's series. If you've read any of the books in this series you know what you're getting: well-written, BDSM erotica. Picture Perfect Cowboy is not an exception to the rule.
Picture Perfect Cowboy by Tiffany Reisz is a erotic romance between an ex-bull rider in Kentucky and a photographer/Pro-submissive from New York. This is a BDSM novel and is full of hot kink. I enjoyed it and thought the storyline and characters were well done. Ms. Reisz did a good job. If you like this type of story then this is the book for you!
This story is exactly like a kinky fairy tale with a cowboy for a prince.
Fact: every girl should have a Jason "Still" Waters in her life.
Fact: you just have to invest in pink tongs and pink corsets and leader crops. Then he would stroke you like a filly before spanking you like a champ.
I don't usually read much erotic anymore but when it's Tiffany Reisz I am always willing. Does it sound kinky???? Must be Jason turning my head.
Perfect Picture Cowboy is a relatively short novella featuring a handsome and lonesome cowboy living for years with shame. He has been raised strictly by his parents and punished if he ever raised the voice at his sister. But Jason has fantasty. And he knows that they don’t fall into the picture perfect son his family wants. He’s never met a woman willing to share his desires but a chance encounter with Simone will alter his life.
I won’t say more about the plot as the book is short and I don’t want to spoil your fun.
Just know that it may not be for everyone and would induce eye roll if you don’t like insta-lust/love stories.
But if this does not bother you or even better if you love these insta-attraction stories evolving fast towards something deeper this could be your book! It’s hot as this is erotic yet this is high quality erotic as Tiffany Reisz’s writing is excellent. Sophisticated yet flowing effortlessly like always.
I dare say she is the queen of “erotic chic” with the perfect blend of steam, elegance and playfulness.
If you are looking for such read just go for it!

This is not my type of romance - professional BDSM - I didn't realise it when I requested. I can't make an assessment of that book. It's well written and compelling, just not for me
When Jason agreed to do a sexy photo shoot for a good cause he's kinda hesitant about the whole thing but he didn't want to disappoint his friend. So he went and be done with it. Simone, the photographer, wants Jason to feel comfortable with the shoot so she told him about her kink and from there Jason slowly open up to Simone what he really wants but due to his conservative upbringing, he was scared to even try it. After the shoot, Jason invited Simone to his place and there Jason became the dominant he longed for and Simone became his willing sub. They learned and did what's each other's kink as they spent more time together. But playtime is over and with a heavy heart, they must part ways. Jason knew that Simone is the woman he wants.
I really enjoyed this fast pace, sweet and the sexy kink this book offers. The cameo of Ms. Nora and Professor S is always welcome with gladness. Tiffany Reisz once again titillated us with this story with so much hotness. Ready for a hot cowboy? I recommend this one.
Total Noo Yawker gal goes to Kentucky to photograph a retired rodeo star for a charity calendar. Turns out they’re totally made for each other in a kinky way, if he can get out of his own head.
There’s a scene early on where the female photographer is taking nude photos of the clearly nervous cowboy, and yet their banter is hilarious.
As always in this genre, the happily ever after never happens on the first try. What makes this different from most who try and fail spectacularly is that his problem completely makes sense, and is solved just as perfectly. This might be the best romance novel I’ve ever read.
The short story at the end, which is more like a deleted scene from the novel, has a completely different vibe to it, but is equally hilarious. Good to see the nascent Dom on the other side of it, from a psychological view.
An Original Sinner's Novella - it's like an early Christmas present!
I really like Jason and Simone together but as usual, I struggled with the novella part ;) Everything moves very quickly while I would love to spend more time with the characters. But as an awesome bonus, Nora and Søren came to visit!
I won't say anything about the storyline itself but this is a definite must-read for every fan of the series.
A short, sweet novella from Tiffany Reisz within the realm of her lauded Original Sinners series. This story was an unexpected treat in catching with those cherished characters and meeting new ones who left their own mark on this ever-growing series. Jason "Still" Waters and Simone Levine are quite an unlikely pair but click instantly over Simone's love of kink and Jason's wanting more of that world without knowing how to get it. I enjoyed their connection and felt it to a certain degree in this erotic romance but at some points I got bored as it read like a kink instruction manual. In place of passion at times was more education and it fell a little flat for me. But they are both lively characters who find something great in each other and in turn themselves. Tiffany Reisz's writing, as always, was a delight to return to especially within the Sinners world. She's always witty, concise, and intriguing in her writing. It's been a while since I've read anything from her so this trip back was well worth it.
“Picture Perfect Cowboy,” by Tiffany Reisz, is a low stress, low drama read. Jason is a hottie cowboy who always had a thing for submissive women, but never figured out/had the guts to experiment with BDSM. He is introduced to the BDSM world by Simone, a pro sub (I think that means she makes a living as a submissive for dominants...I literally had to google “BDSM” to sorta figure it out. #clueless). They meet at a photo shoot and decide to spend the ensuing 4 days together, during which they fall madly in love with each other. Tensions rise when Jason’s ultra conservative family interferes with Jason’s growing comfort with BDSM. Will our hero be able to find a happy medium to achieve that elusive perfect happily ever after?
To be honest, I thought Jason was pretty timid for a dominant (despite my limited knowledge of BDSM). First he was scared to experiment, then when he finally commits, he lets his sister talk him out of a relationship with Simone because he’s not quite willing to let go of his All-American apple pie squeaky clean cowboy image. This, by the way, is the thrust of the limited drama I mentioned above. My impression of a dominant is someone who is strong willed and unlikely to be swayed by others’ opinions...so Jason’s indecisiveness and timidity definitely had me scratching my head. I could totally be wrong...maybe dominants just get off on sadism but don’t have to be iron willed in real life. I should probably read that Wikipedia article on BDSM. Anyway, Jason doesn’t quite fit how I imagine dominants would be, so that’s why this story doesn’t quite work for me. It’s probably also due to my lack of BDSM knowledge. However, the sex scenes, while steamy, certainly weren’t as shocking as I’d expect BDSM sex to be. I thought it was rather vanilla, as a matter of fact! Again, lack of knowledge...and all that...so maybe I just don’t know better. I sure used a lot of words I’ve never used before in this post!
I’m giving this 4 stars because it was fun to read even though I didn’t love the hero, which is required for 5 stars.
I got this ebook as an ARC from NetGalley. All opinions are my own and you’d definitely know if I hated the book.
Honest NetGalley review, given book in advance!
This book has old characters from the previous books! (Søren!)
Full length erotic romance
A cowboy x a pro-submissive Simone!
do not have to read previous book to follow along with this one!
Jason Waters is a sweet and good mannered cowboy living on his ranch in Kentucky. He is a retired bull rider so his yummy physique speaks for itself. Let's not forget he is good looking too and devoted to his family. For a favor to his friend he is going to do some naked photographing for charity calendar. Hell it’s for a good cause and he promised he will do it even if his parents won’t approve (put it mildly). This is where Simone comes into play. Everybody who read Original sinners know she is a go-to whipping girl for Soren and a good photographer. I love how she is comfortable and open about her kink and sexuality and doesn't doubt herself. Their firs interaction is a bit awkward but they are both curious and interested in each other. Eventually they start playing with each other but it is not a smooth ride.
I love their interaction and how she tutored him to reach both satisfaction. He is very good manner and has issues hitting woman at first. But when he realizes her pleasure in all of this, he is all in.
The plot is nice and sweet with some bitter drops but eventually they reach HEA. The scenes are hot and erotic. The book is short but it doesn't seem lacking with characters and plot. I love Ms.Reisz writting style and she didn't dissapoint with her humor too.
I love the ending scene with Nora and Soren and especially their humor after all this years.
Jason and Simone are great. This book isn’t like most were the guy is all knowing and I loved that. Simone helps Jason out of his shell so he becomes her master and I think that’s what make this book great. Jason agrees to step in for a friend on a calendar (he’s mister November) and Simone is the photographer. Jason opens up to Simone about his frustrations and she knows just what to do for him. Fun fast read.
This book was provided by the publisher via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
Rancher Jason ‘Still’ Waters is a retired bull rider and a genuine nice guy – which is how he gets roped into being a model for a charity calendar…in the nude. He doesn’t expect bright, cheery, pink-haired Simone, the intriguing photographer who is unexpectedly candid about her occasional jobs as a pro submissive. This leads to an admission of Jason’s own personal, untried desires to dominate. Their subsequent short-term agreement quickly flares into something more deep and meaningful than either expected…but can the fun of a few days’ uninhabited play stand up to the reality of Jason’s day-to-day life?
Tiffany Reisz proves once again that she has earned her accolades as an author of erotic romance in this heated standalone Original Sinners story. The book is easily read even if you have no previous experience with the series, though readers familiar with the series will likely enjoy the cameos from other characters. The characters are fabulous, the romance strong and emotional, and the erotic aspects of the story are compelling and well-written. I would definitely recommend Picture Perfect Cowboy to any reader who is looking for a good, romantic story with BDSM elements.
So this book is an expanded version of The Watermark. If you've read one Tiffany Reisz books I feel like you have read them all. It was delightfully smutty and the characters were unique.
The H has a hard time giving into his Dom desires and it just so happens the woman he is working with is a pro-sub. I'm so over I can't be into this because I was raised not hit a woman. The h does an okay job talking him into it and convincing him it is okay.
It's fairly predictable story wise.
This book is a "standalone" but does reference her other series throughout the entire thing.
Tiffany Reisz has done it again. In Picture Perfect Cowboy we get the story of Jason and Simone with a little Mistress Nora mixed in. It’s the story of a retired pro bull rider and a quirky city girl photographer. I love how she has such opposites attract, and they work so well. It’s not as heavy BDSM as her other books. I absolutely love how Tiffany captures looks at the BDSM community. I would definitely recommend this book especially if you are just starting to read this genre.
This was a nice, sweet, sexy story. Usually when speaking of The Original Sinners, the words sweet and nice don’t usually come up. But as the title says, picture perfect to me usually deals with sweetness.
Simone Levine is a professional submissive and photographer. She has ties with Søren, Nora and Kingsley and that world. When she meets Jason Waters, ex professional bull rider for a photographic calendar shoot, there is a spark. But Jason, who is a dominant is not sure what he is because he was raised very conservative. Simone sees what he is and decides to help him come out of his shell. She will be his submissive for a few days. Even though it’s only a few days, feelings develop. Simone and Jason are sexy but have a sweetness as well. Jason is a gentlemen but has specific feelings of what his love life should be and can Simone be the woman who will finally let him be his true self? But will his upbringing and his family ruin what Jason wants and needs? A sweet romance with a side of kink!!
I loved that Nora and Søren have cameo appearances in this story. In all, this story was an easy fast read that packed in full sexy sweetness. There was also a bonus short story that was quite delicious!!
A great addition to Tiffany Reisz's Sinners novels. I love the theme of accepting who you are and being yourself.
I really enjoyed the beginning. I love the way Tiffany Reisz creates such fleshed out, real-to-life characters. I wanted to love this story, but something was missing.
The tension that kept me flipping pages in the beginning fizzled out. There wasn't enough conflict to keep the story moving forward and things started to feel repetitive for me.
If you're in it for the steamy sex and the HEA, maybe this book is for you. If you're in it for the depth of story usually found in Ms. Reisz's books, maybe skip this one.
“Kink and crazy aren’t the same thing.”
When I read my first ever Tiffany Reisz book, I admit, I was a little bit shocked. I squirmed. I didn’t breathe. But man alive, The Siren was and still is one of my favourite books.
Picture Perfect Cowboy and my latest TR book just made me smile and laugh and feel like I’m home. Hold the horses, I’m not saying spank me, spank me now, burn me with a candle, I’m just saying everything about Tiffany Reisz’s books appeals to me.
PPC is written with such wit and warmth. The conversational prose is real, perfectly observed and hilarious yet heart warming too. The characters jump out of the pages. Sweet, sweet Jason Waters, cowboy, sometime model, retired bull rider, trainer of ponies for special needs children, little bit kinky but in denial. Could this man be more perfect? Really? Find me one. Now! I want a Jason.
Along comes a pinky, pretty, spanky Simone Levine. Guess what - she knows my King (yes, he’s mine) and she’s besties with my bestie Nora. And the holy one, gulp! She has subbed for HIM! Do the wow face emoji!
This book comes with a message. An important message. Don’t ever look at the photos on your siblings phone.
5 ChapsofGlory Stars
Picture Perfect Cowboy is book 10 of The Original Sinners series. However, you do not need to have read the others to totally enjoy this quick paced, packed full of action book!
Jason moved from Montana to Kentucky to start a new life. One that took him off the bull riding circuit and to the beautiful horse farm he now operates. Being a PBR and knowing when to walk away was a huge step for Jason.
Simone is super sexy and knows what she wants. Part time professional freelance photographer and part time pro-submissive is what she does to pay the bills. Pink hair, piercings and tattoos cause people to immediately form a different opinion of her. Although once you see through the outside to the inside of this sexy one, you find a loving, caring, super supportive woman who knows what she wants.
When these two meet at the library under unusual circumstances for a library day, the fire was there. What was smoldering with-in Jason was ignited. The air that Simone brought to the fire was refreshing and allowed Jason to finally feel what he had only fantasized about.
I absolutely loved the romantic story that was included in this book. The banter between Simone and Jason was perfect.
The super-hot Flogging 101 with professors at the end of the book was the perfect treat for us.
