I received a copy of this book, and went back to read the first 2 in the series first. I am so glad I did. While I could have read this without the back story, it just wouldn't have been the same. Jake and Bear sure make a heck of a team. Somehow Jake finds himself in the middle of some crazy stuff! Nothing is simple when it comes to his life. I sure can't wait for the next one! This one ended in a cliffy and aaaahhhhh I need more!

I have been waiting for Blackbird Road (Book 3 in the Jake Caldwell series) to come out for SO long! I am happy to report that book three is just as exhilarating as the first two books in the series.
Blackbird Road brings Jake and Bear back together again, this time they find themselves at odds with feuding Russian spies and desperate to find a missing boy. The story line evolves quickly, the action is fast-paced, and it all leads to the surprising revelation of a vicious Russian operator and a bare knuckles brawl like you’ve never imagined. And then, there’s that unexpected ending that’ll leave you desperate for the next book.
Blackbird Road proves, once again, that James L Weaver is a master of the crime-thriller genre.
