This book was unfortunately not for me.
I couldn’t get into the “story” and just felt like I was reading porn. I couldn’t finish it because I had no interest in the characters or the story by the time I reached 35%.

Yeah.... this wasn’t good. There was no plot, no character building. It was just smut. Yes, it was steamy smut, but no plot line really. A good book can have both.

It was a very sexy story. Certainly, the first few lines were not expected and quite entertaining. It lost a little steam mid way through but overall it was enjoyable.

If you're looking for a short, steamy story to read on a rainy or snowy day, this is the story for you.

A short novella with lots of hot scenes and happy ending. I enjoyed the quick pace of the story and that it was filled with many erotic scenes, starting from the first page till the end. It was a pleasant, easy reading for a Sunday afternoon or while lying on the beach.

The story is about Tal Bernadi a heart surgeon and Bia Adams who works on an animal shelter. Bia has escaped to Colorado to avoid the reputation of being the daughter of rich Jacinta Malone following her around. For six months living to adjacent condos has made both their lives a continuous fantasy imaging one having hot sex with the other.

But things are about to change when one night Tal returns home late from a surgery and while enjoying his whiskey on the balcony he listens the soft moans of Bia and his name on her lips while coming. He rush into her door and things will never be the same...

I had such high hopes for this book... maybe too high.... there was really no story line. It was just sex..nothing else really just sex. I have read a lot of Erotica novels and they have a story line! Characters were ok, I just wish the characters developed more and there was a story line with some dept to it.

There is the seed of a really nice romance here but this novella is more erotica than erotic romance. I tend to prefer erotic romance and a more developed plot but I did enjoy the small story we got here. I don't know if it was the abundance of sex scenes or just action contained in them but they felt a bit repetitive toward the end. I also thought that early in the book there was the hint of some darker side to Tal that was never fully revealed.

Bia Adams is a shy quiet girl that works at a animal shelter Cardiac surgeon Dr Tal Bernardi is her neighbour he has lusted after her since she moved in. When he hears her pleasuring herself and moaning his name that opens the floodgates and he moves in and so begins a never ending sexual romp that is basically the story. It is what it is just a quick fast read with no major storyline

This is a steamy fast-paced read. Tal and Bia have great chemistry and the story has plenty of drama. I liked the characters just would have preferred a bit more story. Definitely hot!

I ended up skimming this book. It was just sex. Nothing more, nothing less. There was no character development or plot. The characters weren't even likable. I didn't find the sex scenes all that great.

I’m going to get into a couple of my thoughts but I want it to be clear that if you are going in for a quick, sexy thrill, this will scratch your itch. Lots of good scenes and the chemistry is off the charts! It fits into its category very fittingly and I had a great time.

Having shared that, I want to explain why I am giving it 3.5 stars.

It was too fast. This was almost novella size. I was just getting committed to the characters and it was over. Which, I realize this is a specific kind of story and the plot probably wasn’t the main objective, I can’t completely divorce myself from noticing that.

I don’t think this story needed the “villain” that was roughly pushed into it. It seemed unnecessary to what was happening, as Tal and Bia didn’t need to be egged into their relationship. They were going towards what they were going towards anyway. Again, I think if this had another 100 pages of story to it that would have been okay, but there wasn’t room in the only 126 pages of novel.

Tal got annoying. Sorry, I had to say it! He was sexy, he was sexually inventive, he would be a good lay. But when he was getting serious it was hard to believe. Especially him being a doctor, these characteristic did not match that for me.

Okay, enough down sides! This was a fun, sexy, short story. Take it for what it is and find a quiet place to enjoy it. You’ll thank me later.

The rest is just sloppy sex that while maybe steamy at some points gets redundant and old. No plot, the characters are meh and it just even fails my own definition of erotica.

A novella so with that comes a lack of development. Two neighbors who have secretly been lusting after each other. An overheard conversation leads to...boom.... a passionate affair. The distraction of the ex seemed to be added as a page filler because it didn't really add much to the story. Wasn't really needed. Would have preferred more to be added to the relationship with the two MCs instead. Basically a quick, insta-lust read.

I received an arc from Netgalley. Bia and Tal are neighbors who are hot for each other but Bia is the shy quiet girl and Tal admires her at first but was not sure how to approach the attraction going on between them. When he catches Mia calling out his name things definitely heat up and change. This book went way too fast for me but was a great read.

Ugh well I really liked this book! I usually hate short stories but this one was really good!! Lol it definitely gives you the whole story! It's also smoking hot!! Really hot!! Lol this is Tal and Bia book, Tal is a high profile doctor and Bia is a rich daughter to a socialite that has run away from being known as only the rich daughter. These two are neighbors and Tal over hears Bia getting frisky lol and it all comes to after that! Like I said it's a really hot book and a great short read! If you’re looking for some quick smut, this one wasn’t too shabby. Yeah, there’s some story here but it’s just mostly sex. Bia is one lucky lady with the multiple O’s. You get yours, girl! It’s hot and it gets the job done, nothing really wrong with that. The storyline was okay, didn’t blow me away or anything but really, it’s all about the sex.

Tal is a heart surgeon who has been fantasising about his shy next door neighbour, Bia, but doesn’t think she’s interested in him until late one night when he overhears her calling his name. He isn’t interested in any commitments but finds it difficult to resist her despite her secrets.

Unfortunately, this one didn't work for me and I absolutely do not want to hurt an author's feelings when they've put their work into a story. It's hard to find the right balance of bringing a story together in a novella format. This is 100% an erotica, which I think of as the sexy parts are more than a plot to the story. Where it fell short for me was I wanted more of the story. The suspense was built with who she is and her family's wealth, but once it came out I felt a little cheated and wanted more with her mother and her own background. I think what stood out in my mind the most was the other doctor friend. His lewd comments, innuendo, and leering at her creeped me out and I couldn't shake it. If his part was removed or reworked, this would absolutely work a lot better for me. I'll definitely give the author another chance as I did like the hero's alpha-ness and protectiveness of her.
