The third entry in the Charley Davidson series is just as fun as all the previous books. This time Charley is trying to find a missing, possibly murdered woman and also trying to prove Reyes' innocence.

I found her father and Reyes so friggin frustrating! I think I am a much more spiteful person because I would be so ready to tell them both to rot in hell for acting the way they do in this book. I liked new characters introduced in this book and I was surprised by the ending and I am super invested in Charley's story and what's going to happen next.

This is such a fun series, I have to continue with book 4 very very soon.

I have slowly made my way through all the books in this series and decided to review as a whole. These are amazing. Funny, smart with characters to love. They have made a believer out of me that PNR can be for me!!!

This is the third book in the Charley Davidson series by Darynda Jones and I think it might actually be the best one yet!

"My name is Charlotte Davidson. Charley to some, Charlotte the Harlot to others, but that was mostly in middle school."

Yeah, she's got attitude, which makes her all the more loveable, and extra fun to read! Charley is the only grim reaper around, so any souls that don't move on immediately when they pass can go through her.

"Apparently I was super-duper bright, like the glowing lens of a lighthouse in a storm. The departed who didn't cross when they died could see me from anywhere on Earth and, if they so chose, could cross through me to get to the other side. That was pretty much the grim reaper gig in a nutshell. No scythes. No collecting souls. No ferrying the departed across a lake day in and day out, which would probably get old."

Charley and her bestie, Cookie, run a detective agency and Charley is hired to find a missing wife, but of course, it's never that easy. On top of that, Charley has an on again/off again thing with the Son of Satan himself, Reyes Farrow, and that's not going very smoothly at the moment. Throw in a biker gang and a gorgeous bond enforcement agent, and a few ghosts, and you've got yourself a party!

I love this series so much because the characters are so well developed, and the plots are so well written. The pacing is always spot on, so these are very quick reads. I love the relationship between Charley and Cookie and their fun banter. The missing persons case was engaging, and I love all the little side jobs Charley gets pulled into.

In summary, this is my favorite book yet of this series, and I'm already looking forward to reading the next one. I can definitely recommend this book to fans of paranormal romance stories with a good mystery and a lot of laugh out loud moments.

5/5 stars.

*** I would like to thank NetGalley, St. Martin's Press, and Darynda Jones for the chance to read and review this book,

Now that Reyes is tied to his corporeal body and back in jail, he's quite angry. While Charley deals with an angry Reyes, who is incorporeally invading her dreams, she also is continuing to work as a PI. After an encounter with the bike gang while visiting Rocket, she now has a dog murderer on her hands. There's a lot going on in this one and it keeps you guessing at every turn and constantly wanting more.

So who can possibly drink that much coffee and still function at a normal level? I am really starting to love this series! Charley grim reaper and a portal to heaven and sexy as sin Reyes a portal to hell.. that is rough on a relationship. Charley is starting to understand her powers and she is an amazing PI. Much to her father's dismay.. he wants her to quit and take a safer job.. Reyes has his own agenda and he is not quite as likable in this book as he was in previous books. I also need Cookie in my life to keep me organized, on to the next book!

I could not get this version to download properly on any device I owned. I tried for about a month before I finally gave up.

I started this series and read the first 8 books back to back. I love this author and these characters. The world building and storyline are so good and well developed!

What a fascinating book. I was impressed by the storyline and the characters were all well written and complex. Where there are complex storylines combined with intriguing characters the reader experience is magnified tremendously. To have a book that is well written as well as entertaining is a delight. Reading is about escaping your world and entering another one. The word building was phenomenal in this book. Here I forgot about my own life and was immersed in the world created by the author. I would recommend this book.

This Charley Davidson series is a serious page turner with lots of laughs.

Some ha ha ah and a lot of the WTF moments. Charley can handle her own to a point. More faith in herself is needed. New friends come and go on her. Deception seems to be around her at every corner. The deception that hurts the most causes the most damage. There are some surprises.

This is the third book in a series that has me laughing and fanning myself at the same time. There are some definite hot times and some hilarious times and some family times. I love that Uncle Bob is there for her and they all work together to solve those crimes. Reyes is...well...a bad boy in a bad boy's body that is really probably a good guy. You need to read this series to find out more!

This third book goes on just as the first 2. Really repetitive and formulaic. The jokes and their punchlines are not very funny. Not even cheesy enough to get a smirk.

"Third Grave Dead Ahead" is a better book in the series than the second in the series. I enjoyed reading this one a lot more than I thought I would. It was an enjoyable plot.

Love the Charley Davidson series!!

No matter how many times I read these books they make me giggle...I love that she is witty, kicks ass and talks to the dead

I love the whole series. I've read and listened to the series multiple times. Charley is appreciatively grumpy and snarky. I, too, have an appreciation for coffee and enchiladas. And sarcasm. (General Review for series books 1-12)

I just couldn't get into this one. I don't know why exactly. Perhaps I took too much time in between. The characters were enjoyable but this was a unfinished one.

This book, while good, just didn't seem to add much more to the story. I felt this starting with the sequel, but the third book definitely had middle book syndrome. Everything felt drawn out and like a set up for later in the series. I didn't keep me entertained like I'd hoped.

A fun third book in this fabulous series. This series is just so good.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley. My thoughts and opinions are my own and without bias or favor.

Ok! This book was so much better than the second one! There was so much action throughout the whole entire book. There was also so much of Charley’s dry/sarcastic humor and it’s so easy to just fall in love with all the main characters! I’m so excited to read the next book!

I loved this third book so much! I ship Reyes and Charley so hard. Each book in the series builds on the other. I love that.
