This one had so much potential to be an amazing book. Not thriller, but more a family drama. I was really let down.
Absolutely loved everything about the story. I was invested from the beginning to the very end. I love the author style of writing. It cannot wait to read more books from her and the future.
This wasn't a winner for me. I usually like this author, but I just couldn't keep my mind on the book. It didn't hold my interest enough. I was never really able to disappear into the story. It wasn't written poorly it just didn't keep my attention and so it took me far too long to get through it.
One of my favorite authors. Loved the writing, the pacing and characters. This book made me gasp, made me hope and made me keep reading
First, I completely acknowledge that this review is so embarrassingly beyond overdue - I apologize!
And, unfortunately, it was only an okay read for me; while I feel like the blurb reads as a mystery or a thriller, the book definitely felt more like literary fiction - with a dash of suspense. Similar to other books of this genre, I gravitated more towards particular characters and storylines - and felt completely bored by others, quickly trying to read through to get to the storyline I cared about.
Overall - it was a fine book, but I won't be rushing to read more from the author.
This author is really great. I really loved this book. This tale was highly engrossing and highly recommendable!!
This one sounded like a great read for me, but I just couldn't get into it. I think domestic dramas really may not be for me.
I apologize for not posting this sooner. Jessica is a brilliant writer, and this twisted tale kept me reading into the night to finish it. I'd give it 6 stars if I could!
This book started off intriguing and strong, but I kept putting it down and lost interest. The writing was great, it just fell flat for me. It had more promise and just disappointed. I would not recommend it.
I really wanted to love this book more, the beginning was so amazing. I was pulled in and felt completely creeped out over Liza and Molly's online interaction. But then the narrative slowed and the unraveling of secrets came at a very drawn out pace. I was in the mood for more of thriller, but the book turned out to be an exploration of messy relationships. I think my favorite part of the novel was how much the author delved into the complexities of female friendships.
I wish I enjoyed this more. I really like the way the author writes her stories. However, this just didn't keep my interest as much as I thought it would. I kept reading and then putting it down, picking back up, putting back down. So it took a while for me to finish.

I listened to the audiobook version of this book because I'm so far behind. I was really excited to read a book by Jessica Strawser since I knew her from her days with Writers Digest.
I enjoyed this story and riding the roller coaster. The characters were well-developed, and I liked the alternating points of view from the three main characters. The events were plausible, and the relationships and how we can often get lost from a partner were something I could relate to.
However, it's billed as a thriller, and it isn't. It's more domestic drama. The one thing about the book that left me shaking my head was a storyline set-up for something really bad to happen that simply got dropped as if it wasn't important enough to finish. I felt like it Iwas set up for a true thrill, and was then bloop.
Beyond that, an enjoyable read that I can recommend.
I think I would've enjoyed the book a bit more if I had a clearer understanding that it was based on the complexities of adult relationships and not a thriller. It was a little misleading when at the beginning of the story, a masked man is seen entering a house during a Skype call. But then as Liza travels to check on her friend Molly, she is turned away. From there on, the story becomes more about how adults disconnect and can grow apart, whether friendships or even in marriage. Overall, it was well-written but I couldn't seem to really relate to the characters and I had opened the book anticipating a who-dunnit.
Forget You Know Me is a dark and depressing literary drama. It has a bit of mystery in the sense of gossip missing a few key pieces of the story. Sometimes, this is just the sort of book you need! No one screams out as unreliable, but there's still an air of confusion as to who to fully trust.
This was more like a 3.5 star read for me. As thrilling as it was, there was just a little too much of a stretch in believability. I enjoyed the friendship aspect but maybe I was expecting something a little more suspenseful
This was not my favorite book by this author. I'm not sure what it was, but I had a difficult time getting through it and almost didn't finish it. The storyline was pretty solid, the characters were okay, but there was just something about the book that I couldn't get into. I will, however, be sure to check out her next book!
This book did not grab me the way I thought it would. Also, I didn’t connect with the characters; however, I appreciated the character development which is something really important to me.
Once I started hearing about this book, I knew I had to read it, plus having read the author's other books only added to the flame. This story had me guessing what really happened that night of the video call and what was really going on. I'm one to always be suspicious and never trust the cover of situations so I needed to keep reading to find out. A good book for your next weekend escape away!
Once again Ms. Strawser delivers.
Forget you know me is about family, friends and deceit.
Can a marriage be saved when it is based on lies? Can a friendship be saved when only one is being honest?
Both those questions will be answered but may not be what you would think. A twisting tale you don’t want to miss.
