This is an intriguing story that draws you in as you follow Liza and Molly as they try to reconnect their longterm friendship following a period of distance and difficulty. It's perfect for fans of domestic drama and I really enjoyed the story. 4 stars from me.
I've enjoyed Jessica Strawser's past work and I was captivated right away with this story, but then it fell a little flat for me in the end. I did really enjoy Liza's character and the relationships of the main characters. However, I didn't find the book to be suspenseful and the twist was extremely predictable. I did still enjoy it as I love Strawser's writing so I will definitely give her work a try again in the future.
Thanks for letting me have a chance to review this one. This book isn’t for me, which is why it’s sat on my shelf so long. I think others have enjoyed it and will try this author again in the future.
I thought this book was going to be a high suspense/thriller, but once I got through the first few chapters I realized it was more a book about relationships and the consequences of our choices with a little mystery thrown in. I liked the way the story was told - it switched perspectives between three different characters. As the story unfolds, we find out that things are not what they seem on the surface. Enjoyable read!
Great premise and a story about friendship and begins with a fast pace intrigue. It seems to fit between genres and struggles to walk that line.
I have to review this book as just ok. It isn't terrible but at the same time it is very forgettable and not one I would recommend to my own book circle.
AMAZING! You can’t ever go wrong with reading a book by Jessica Strawser! I have read each of her books as soon as they hit the shelf! She writes with such intense force it pulls you in right from the first page and doesn’t let you go til the very end. This story brings some creepiness and edge you won’t see coming. If you haven’t read a book by this author run now and grab it! 🥳
3,5 out of 5 stars. This is a novel about domestic relationships and friends that have drifted apart but attempting to reconnect. Sounds relatable, right? There is a dash of contemporary suspense as something alarming is seen during a video call, which triggers the stream of events that propel the novel.

This had a slow beginning for me, and while to premise was interesting, it seemed a little confusing. Fell a little short for my expectations, but I would read something else by this author since I have heard good things.
Don't go into this book expecting it to be a psychological thriller - it's not. It's a nuanced, well-paced story of three adults - Molly, her husband Daniel, and her life-long best friend Liza. While the opening scene ramps up the suspense factor, this is much more of a women's fiction with its emphasis on exploring the nuances of friendship, marriage, and how people change as they move through life. Each of the characters gets a voice and I particularly identified with Liza, first trying to save her friend from what she thinks is a dangerous stranger, and missing the connection to Molly that she counted on in her life. An emotionally-charged novel with complex characters that ring true. Strawser did a good job laying out the dots that she skillfully pulled together for a satisfying ending.
I really really liked this book. It was not as suspenseful or thriller-ish as I was expecting, but the dynamic between the characters and the marriage, it kept me engaged. Ms. Strawser is on my radar to pick up all future books!
Thanks to NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review this book.
Since Strawser has been writing I have been an avid fan. Given the opportunity to review Forget You Know Me was an opportunity I could not pass up. The story focuses on Molly, her friend Liza, Liza's brother and wife, and Molly's husband Daniel.. It is hard to say who really is the main character in the book but a lot of the characters and the side characters revolve around Molly. Forget You Know Me starts off with old friends Liza and Molly catching up via video chat. During the video chat Liza witnesses an intruder come into Molly's house. Fearing for Molly's safety, Liza heads out in the middle of the night to check on her friend. The intruder event sets off an unexpected course of event and a few implied circumstances. To make the review short basically Molly is in a heck of a lot of debt in her endless pursuit to cure the pain she been suffering through for years. Molly has tried any holistic option out there and her options have caused her to incur debt that her husband doesn't even know exists. The pain that Molly suffers has caused for her relationship and bond with her husband to plummet and Daniel now is making all intents to try to restore their marriage. Forget You Know Me is a book that is somewhat all over the place and not so nicely tied together but it is an enjoyable read. The events Liza goes through leaves her in an almost neurotic paranoia after her apartment complex burns down leaving her the only survivor, her brother and sister have pregnancy complications that seem to be resolved and tied with a happy results little bow, and the relationship between Daniel and Molly ends on a high note. All and all everyone ends up happy. Yay. I guess. I felt like the end was rushed and that it wasn't Strawser's best work. That being said I did enjoy the book and craved a bit more. Some ends weren't well tied off and felt rushed to me and I really wanted more 'meat' to the story. Still it was a decent read and I would recommend it.
Best friends since childhood, Liza and Molly have grown apart. I enjoyed seeing these two try to reconnect, to rebuild, and to find their new friendship. Neither of them were willing to give up their friendship but both had obstacles to overcome before they can do that. I struggled with how not nice they were to each other once their video chat was broken up. Molly blew Liza off after her driving all night to check on her, Liza moves to town and doesn’t even tell Molly that she is back, and then went Daniel forces them to be together they are catty and rude to each other. I get that feelings were hurt, things were said, but GROW UP!
I was under the impression that Forget You Know Me was a thriller but it was more a book about friendship and marriages. It is a story about forgiveness, telling the truth, letting go of past issues and moving on with life, and of being honest with yourself. Daniel and Molly’s marriage was in trouble from the first omission by both of them. Liza and Molly’s friendship was in trouble from not letting go of the past.
I enjoyed this book and look forward to those quiet moments when I could escape into Jessica Strawser’s story.
Did not finish. Had a hard time getting into this one. Was just an ok book for me. I would still try others from this author.
Thanks the publisher and Net Galley.

Jessica Strawser’s Forget You Know Me is a story about two longtime friends, what drove them apart and what brings them together. It deals with friendship, the relationship between mother and child, chronic pain and marriage. I wanted to love this book, but I saw everything coming. Unfortunately, it ended up being very lackluster.
This was about friendship and marriage and how secrets can uproot even the most stable of these. This was just ok for me. There was a lot going on in the plot so it was hard to pick out the main focus for me. The story kind of rambled on through the beginning and middle but I did enjoy the ending.
Many thanks to Netgalley, St. Martin’s Press and Jessica Strawser for my complimentary e-copy ARC in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.
Wasn’t able to finish....maybe it was me? I’ll def give this author another chance in the future though.

This was off to a good start, but started to to slow down and sizzle for me. I was expecting a thriller, but it was mostly a domestic drama that didn't work for me.
I couldn't connect to any of the characters, and unfortunately, the story just left me underwhelmed.
Sorry..I tried.
