Savage Pursuit is a fast pace story that will have reader wanting more from Chris Mares.
The characters are true to the author vision from beginning to the end of the story and with so many different characters that is a must in Action Adventure books.
I was surprised how realist the action was and for once reader do not need to worry about suspending their reality to enjoy a story.
Griff is 100% Alpha male. There is no question there and at times its a little laughable.

Fast-paced action-packed adventure from first page to last – I could not put this book down.

Griff Savage shows up in Key West with the burning need to find out what happened to his brother and perhaps taste a wee bit of revenge while meting out justice. He soon finds that there is a whole lot more going on surrounding his brother than first expected and that leads him into working with Angie and Nikki as he unravels each thread of a web that is complicated and filled with violence.

What I liked:
* The writing was superb
* Griff Savage: a man conflicted but also true to his course once it was set. * The fact that Savage was a man’s man but also had an element to his personality that attracted women
* The setting
* The action scenes were believable
* Being left at the end of the book wanting to read more about Griff and where his life will take him next.

What I didn’t like:
* The bad guys – one is supposed to dislike them and it was easy to do so
* Well…not much AND as I sit her contemplating the things I wanted more of like Griff and his brother’s back stories I realized that as a series there will be more tidbits offered in future books.

Do I want to read more by this author/in this series? Yes
