Seth is about to discover he doesn’t really know the woman he just married. And his nightmare is only just beginning…
I loved this book. I like the flips between present and past, teasing the reader with more and more insight.
The only downside for me, is a slight lack of character development. But that’s most probably just me as I adore the Jessica Daniel series so much I’ve read them all three times!
A great suspense story that I thoroughly recommend.
This was a brilliant read. As soon as I started reading this book I just knew I was going to love it. Highly recommended
Kerry always writes books that you think cannot possibly sound realistic but eventually make sense, this is no different. An intriguing way of writing. Takes me a while to get into the story but I enjoy it in the end.
Absolutely loving Kerry Wilkinson’s writing and this gem did not disappoint! I was furious on Seths behalf when Charlie was quite ambiguous about her “abduction “ especially as it was during their wedding reception!
Did not guess what was to come. Loved Martha, the big sister who was amazing with her little sister . Scared living daylights out of hubby by shouting out my horror at what Liam was capable of!
Definitely look for more from this author, he will not disappoint
Unfortunately, I have not been able to read and review this book.
After losing and replacing my broken Kindle and getting a new phone I was unable to download the title again for review as it was no longer available on Netgalley.
I’m really sorry about this and hope that it won’t affect you allowing me to read and review your titles in the future.
Thank you so much for giving me this opportunity.

This wasn't my favourite of his books but he did do s good job with the characters. It's great to see just how well he writes.
My goodness this was a real psychological thriller treat for me. I am familiar with Kerry’s writing and honestly feel like this one is her best ever. Charley is experiencing what every girl dreams of. A beautiful wedding to the man oh her dreams. When Charley was little she witnessed something so vile and horrible that only growing up and moving on could help heal her. After the wedding and just as the reception has started, Charley is no where to be found. Her husband looked everywhere for her. Was she abducted? No one saw her leave but could she have slipped out unnoticed? This is one that you will find yourself reading well into the night to figure out but just when you think you have your ah ha moment, you realize that you are wrong. Kerry does an immaculate job of keeping with time sequencing and characters that are so true to life it makes you feel as though you are apart of the story. Well done Kerry! I want to read more.
Thank you to netgalley as well as the author/publisher for allowing me to read this book in exchange for my honest review.
Wow this was hard to put down!
A twisty psychological thriller that flows seamlessly between time scales.
A woman goes missing at her own wedding reception. Husband Seth has no idea where or why she has disappeared. After searching for hours Seth wonders if Charley went of her own accord or was she abducted?
The story goes back to the time when Charley was a child and she witnessed a tragic event involving her famous parents.
I loved all the mystery and intrigue in this compelling novel. It was an entertaining read from an accomplished author with twists, dead ends and deception all the way.
Thoroughly enjoyable, gripping and a real page-turner!
A riveting thriller that is hard to put down. Full of intrigue and family drama, there are twists that you will never see coming!
I have read Kerry's books before and loved them, but I had a bit of a love hate relationship with The Wife's Secret. I found myself getting really frustrated by one of the main characters and their passiveness. I at times wanted to grab them, shake them, and kick them up the backside.
That said, as the story evolved and there was no way I could give up and not know what happened. I had theories and wanted to see if I had it cracked - seems there was more layers than I had anticipated! I found that, with the exception of one character (no spoilers), I grew to become invested in the family members.
The book was a good way of looking beyond the public facade that people portray and realising that there is more than meets the eye.
I am sorry this wasn't my favourite book, but that doesn't mean others won't love it.
I had a difficult time getting into this one. I'm not sure what it was in particular; it just didn't grab me the way I thought it would and as a result, I didn't really love the pages I DID read. That said, I'm not opposed to giving it another shake at a later time. Thanks to Netgalley for this ARC in exchange for my honest opinion.
This book was fast paced. Hard to put down. It flowed well and it was very well written. It caught hold of me and had me hooked from the start . I was literally on the edge of my seat reading this book.
Thrilling story with a plot that kept me turning the pages, really well written with great characters. Highly recommend to everyone who is a fan of this genre.
I would like to thank Bookouture Publishing and the Netgalley website for this partnership.
I loved his book "Last night" even more, I love the pen of this author.
On the cover of this book is a bouquet of flowers hung by a ribbon on a tree and a catchphrase makes you read the book because it is so mysterious: "Charley Willis has just got married and now she has disappeared."
We learn that Charley at thirteen saw her parents die hiding in a closet to avoid being killed too. Fifteen years later she is married and her husband struggles to understand her because he knows almost nothing about the woman he has just married.
A breathtaking psychological thriller as I like them with an addictive, captivating story filled with suspense and twists and turns and engaging characters. Looking forward to reading more of this author's books.
I have immensely enjoyed reading this book. Its well written. Will definitely recommend. I am glad I was given access to this arc.
An engrossing novel, we learn what has led to the disappearance of Charley on her wedding day. Seth, her husband realises that there are things in her past that he was unaware of and have led to this. A slow burner at first, but the reveals are great, and the ending is one that leaves you thinking of this book for days.
Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for an advance copy of this.
Wow. This is a brilliant five star modern thriller. Charley disappears on her wedding day. No-one saw her go and no-one knows where she is!!
A very enjoyable read, although the second half of this is a little predictable, however dont let that out you off, this is still a great read
If I'm ever in a bit of a reading slump there are a few writers I can rely on to yank me out. The author of this is one of them. After a few novels that I've took longer to get into or finish than usual my knight in shining typeface came to the rescue. Once again Kerry Wilkinson has written a gripping thriller that had me glued to my sun chair.....great book but bad sunburn was the result! In all seriousness though, this tale of a bride with a past disappearing on her wedding day is an excellent read, an easy five stars.
Where’s the bride? Has anyone seen her? This is Seth’s dilemma on his wedding day. His new wife Charley has gone, disappeared. A great start, but then it slowed down a bit, until the end, where all is revealed and why. Seth was very calm and collected, a bit too calm, came across as a cold fish really. Told from several viewpoints, from then and now. Despite it wasn’t a racy, fly through the pages book I still enjoyed it and was intrigued enough with the plot to stay with it, to see how it all panned out.
