What could a teacher with a sunny disposition and a successful, yet unsatisfied businessman have in common? Why, a quaint little cabin in the woods, of course!
I loved how Paige began her mornings with gratitude, listing what she was most thankful for, while watching the sunrise. Also, she loved colorful things, from nature to clothing. She also loved life and Paige's joy often spread to those around her.
Dylan's growing relationship with Paige encouraged him to seek healing and rebuild damaged relationships. He became more tender hearted and joy began re-entering his days, his attitude and his life.
Paige loved her quaint, rental cabin and it had become her dream home. Dylan was drawn to the cabin by warm memories and happier times.
As the cabin became available to purchase, things between Paige and Dylan became complicated and strained. Will their relationship survive a situation where there can be only one winner? Or, is there a way for both Dylan and Paige to win?
Paige and Dylan learned that sometimes we receive blessings that are even better than anything we dare to wish or pray for.
Thank-you to NetGalley and Hallmark Publishing for a copy of this delightful book.
The sunrise cabin was the sweetest novel for me to read this September! Paige Reynolds is a first grade teacher who lives in a beautiful cabin that fills her with joy and inspiration every day. Unfortunately her landlord decides to sell and Paige has to try to buy the cabin for herself.
Dylan, the very attractive businessman, who can have anything he wants decides that he wants this cabin as well. While both Paige and Dylan take the time that is needed to learn about one another and try to understand why each other wants the cabin so badly, they discover there's a lot more to each other than what meets the eye and a hopeful spark between the two ignites. Giving me every bit of the fall romance that I was craving.
This is the first Hallmark novel that I have read and I was not disappointed. The fact that it was an original Hallmark novel made it feel even more special to me. I had the chance to read the story first, then at some point, because I know it will be made, I’ll watch the movie! I loved the writing style that the author chose for this book, I was able to really be a part of both main character’s lives and relate to each of them more personally.
I received a lot of humor, flirtation, and friendly banter from Paige and Dylan and couldn’t have asked for a better leading pair. Family and friends, even the landlord himself offered wisdom and comic relief, as well as heartfelt ones that truly tied this story together.
I think that all romance fans will love this Hallmark original. It's based around the fall season so we get all the vibes of autumn with the color changing trees, the celebration of Halloween and so much more. The Hallmarkian and romantic in me was completely satisfied with Sunrise cabin and I cannot wait for the next novel by Stacey Donovan!
This book is about two opposites being attracted to each other and how a common denominator will either make or break their relationship! The common denominator is the “Sunrise Cabin” that PAIGE rents from Harry. Harry wants to move and therefore is selling both his house and the cabin. PAIGE loves the cabin if only her book would sell she would have enough for the deposit.
Harry has family ties to the cabin and wants to buy it for nostalgic reasons.
Dylan's overworked investment banker and Paige is a free spirit first garde teacher. This is a warm hearted tender story. This was a delightful read and it drew me in. Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for the advance copy of these book and this was my honest opinion.
Sunrise Cabin is an enchanting book. I knew from page one I would enjoy it.
Stacey Donovan has a wonderful descriptive writing style , she makes you feel like you are in the book with the characters, seeing what they see, feeling what they feel.
The main characters are so likable and both exhibit emotions that you can relate to.
Sunset cabin was a moving, deeply romantic and very well written book that I couldn't put down.
This was the first book I've read by Stacey Donovan and it won't be my last.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Thanks to Netgalley for giving me this book to read in exchange for an honest review. No compensation was given, offered, or taken to alter the opinion.
I really enjoyed this sweet and clean love story. This book is about a highly optimistic first-grade teacher, Paige, that spoke her gratitude to the sunrise just outside the door of her drafty, but homey cabin every morning. Then, there is Dylan, a stressed-out and overworked investment banker, who hates his job but doesn't want to completely admit it. He spends a lot of time complaining about it. They meet in a coffee shop and Dylan is attracted to Paige's sunny look and outlook. After they both keep going to the shop to try to see each other again, they connect again a week or so later. Thanks to Dylan's nephew, Connor, they end up at the Harvest Festival together, but things change quickly for them. It turns out that Paige is renting her cabin from a neighbor and he has decided to sell and Dylan wants to buy it because it belonged to his family when he was a kid. This is where the turmoil begins for them. I was a little surprised in a couple of places how badly they treated each other, but it is a Hallmark story so have no fear. I absolutely loved Conner and Noah! It's funny that I gravitated to this book because I was a Dylan and working toward being like Paige. This book reminded me what is important.
I have eagerly looked forward to reading Sunrise Cabin, the first original fiction novel from Hallmark Publishing (though Hallmark has published other books, they’ve been based on some of their most popular movies). I was not disappointed!
Stacey Donovan has created a delightful story about two very different people whose only connection is their shared love for a cabin. First-grade teacher Paige loves her students, loves teaching, is creative and fun! She has rented the cabin for several years and wants to buy it, but on a teacher’s salary, that’s a tough proposition. Dylan, on the other hand, is an uptight investment banker who harbors a secret desire for a simpler life...and he has the means to buy the the cabin that used to belong to his grandparents. But who deserves it more?
This story will keep you turning the pages from the opening lines to the closing credits. Plus, it includes a recipe for awesome-sounding Sunday Muffins. I might just whip up a batch to celebrate the release of Sunrise Cabin on 9/16.
Thank you NetGalley and Hallmark Publishing for providing this ARC. This is my honest review of Sunrise Cabin.
Sunrise Cabin is a sweet, clean, feel-good Hallmark book about two opposites who bring out the best in each other that I highly recommend.
Paige is a first-grade teacher, wannabe children's book writer, and free spirit who believes that, if you have faith, good things will happen. Dylan is a successful investment banker who is stressed out, unhappy and believes only hard work will make things happen. Paige is creative and colorful where Dylan is staid and monochromatic. They don't realize they have something in common - the cabin that Paige rents had once been owned by Dylan's grandparents. When the owner decides to sell, they both want it. It has become Paige's sweet haven and is the site of Dylan's happiest childhood memories.
Paige is attracted to Dylan but doesn't think he's the "kind of guy to ever be taken in by fanciful notions." Dylan is entranced by Paige who "flitted into his life and demolished his walls, without even trying, like some kind of superpowered butterfly." Their developing romance has many ups and downs before they get to HEA.
Stacey Donovan's story is well-written with vivid descriptions of Denver in the fall and a wonderful population of primary and secondary characters. I think Paige's friend Jessica needs her own HEA.

I received a copy of this book in return for an honest review.
I am unashamedly in love with the entire new line of @hallmark novels based on the films on @hallmarkchannel This book is no exception.
Paige, a teacher who reminds me of nobody so much as Ms. Frizzle, is renting a cabin near Boulder Colorado, and as a native Coloradan I loved the authentic Colorado touches in the book. She is also a writer of children's books who is hopeful of being published. Paige discovers, to her chagrin, that the cabin she's renting is now for sale.
Dylan is in banking and his family once owned both the cabin that's being sold and the main house that went with it. He's smitten by Paige when they meet in a bakery, and the two soon discover that Dylan's nephews are Paige's students.
No spoilers here, because I honestly hate spoilers, but suffice it to say that this book, like all things Hallmark, has a happy ending. It's the perfect book for an early fall read, and is so snuggly and lovely that I read it twice.

I received this book in exchange for an honest review. This book can be purchased here : https://www.amazon.com/Sunrise-Cabin-Stacey-Donovan-ebook/dp/B07GQ2Y9ZL on September 16th.
This book begins with Paige, a First Grade teacher doing her morning ritual of saying the things she is thankful out loud at a little cabin. Paige is an enthusiastic writer and has an agent in an attempt to get her books published. Unfortunately, Paige's lease for this wonderful cabin is coming to an end as the owner needs to sell and relocate. We have a mention of the PSL, so we know it is almost fall and time to hit up the local coffee shops while the season is still here. We are the introduced to Dylan, a bachelor, living in a loft-style apartment with all the amenities, but as a bachelor, most of these remain unused. Dylan is an overworked man in investment banking who is in desperate need of coffee. Dylan and Paige meet at the Dolce Cafe' and Bakery. Dylan is an ugh it is Monday guy while Paige is excited about "Clean Slate Monday". Call it happenstance, call it fate, but as Paige sits next to Dylan in the coffee shop, she begins to write in her journal. Dylan catches a glimpse and notices a sketch of a cabin, one that looks a lot like his grandparents' cabin, where he spend time with his sister during his childhood summers.
Dylan insists on paying for cupcakes for Paige's class and after she thanks him, he properly introduces himself and with a thank you, she is on her way. Paige made quite the impact on Dylan. We soon discover that Dylan's sister Dee finds out about the cabin for sale and shares it with him. Dylan shares his childhood memories of Christmases and his adventures at the cabin with his eager nephews.
We are then taken on a journey of Dylan trying to find Paige again. While all this is happening, we get to witness a real estate war for the cabin. This book left me with such a warm and fuzzy feeling and as an added bonus, there is an Excerpt from the book The Christmas Company by Alys Murray.
This book would make a perfect hallmark movie...it really is a lovely story, with interesting characters. The setting was just magical and I loved the descriptions of the scenery. A worthy read when you want to escape the madness that is life today
“Sunrise Cabin” by Stacey Donovan overflows with charm and hope. It’s a heartwarming story about Paige Reynolds, a first grade teacher, and Dylan Cain, an investment banker, who are trying to convince each other that they are the one who deserve to buy the cabin. The story evokes a range of emotions in the reader. At times, I laughed so hard that my students looked at me with curious faces because it was suppose to be silent reading time, but at other times, I cried along with the characters. Donovan does a wonderful job engaging her readers and drawing them into the story. Many times, I felt like I was standing right next to Paige, watching the sunrise. Donovan’s characters are relatable as well. I saw myself in Paige in many ways, from being a teacher to wanting a place to call home. The story engages the reader to the point where it makes it difficult to put the story down.
Paige, teacher and aspiring children’s author, has found the perfect home in her rented cabin. All is well until her landlord informs he he’s selling it. In this engaging story of struggles and small battles, Paige works to try to raise enough to buy the cabin. But, there’s also Dylan who wants the cabin, too. He has the money and a ton of memories attached to the cabin from his childhood. There is a budding romance for Paige and Dylan but the cabin stands as an obstacle between them.
“This could be a Hallmark movie!” Well, yes it could, and I believe it will be! When you think of Hallmark stories, you think “warm, gentle, sweet, pure, love, hope, tears, hugs, smiles.” And that’s what this charming book delivers.
Paige and Dylan’s first encounter is at a local coffee shop in Denver. Their “meet-cute” is literally that because pretty Paige is so sweetly cute.
Paige lives in a log cabin close to town. She starts each day by standing on her patio and watching the sunrise and reviewing her gratitude list. She teaches first grade, makes her own clothes with hearts, pumpkins and other seasonal motifs, creates the most festive Hallowe’en displays and always looks on the bright side.
Dylan is a hard-driving investment banker who lives in a stark, modern downtown Denver loft. While he seems to be guided solely by a need for success, he has a solid, endearing side, too.
We get to know their friends and family who are all delightful people. A fireside first kiss promises a Happily Ever After. But then comes a complication which tests their relationship.
Too gooey and syrupy for you? Don’t even think that! Yes, Author Stacey Donovan sprinkles plenty of glitter and heart emojis throughout the story, but this is one of the best sweet romances I have ever read. The characters and settings are real and there is a genuine joy to be found in the pages. Plus, there’s a muffin recipe! Another entry into the Hallmark Hall of Fame- highly recommend!
Thanks to NetGalley and Hallmark Publishing for an ARC. This is my honest review.
Stacey Donovan wrote a sweet, innocent novel when she published Sunrise Cabin. This feel good book plays out very much like a Hallmark movie. At times Paige's ditzy behavior (for lack of a better word) got annoying but, in the end, that was part of her charm. Sunrise Cabin is a quick read so pull on your favorite sweater, build a fire, grab a cup of coffee (or tea) and enjoy!
Loved this book.
Paige is a happy and colourful school teacher. She is living in a rented cabin and hopes to buy it one day.
A chance encounter in the coffee shop and she meets bank Dylan. But after their great first date she finds that he wants to buy the cabin - how can she date someone whois trying to take the cabin away from her - so she sets out to prove to him that she should be the one allowed to buy it - only problem is where will she get the money from?
Wonderful, heartfelt, and adorable story! Perfect example of putting your loved ones desires ahead of your own...which is after all, love. The cabin holds a special place in Dylan and Paige's hearts, much like my cabin is in my heart. I could totally relate to waking up each morning and feeling blessed, only in my case I have majestic sunsets.
I usually really enjoy Hallmark books, especially because they are so light - hearted and simple. This book was like that but I just couldn't get into it.
Dylan is an investment banker. His boss is a jerk and makes life rough for his employees. They put in a lot of hours and the boss always finds fault with their work and is constantly having them totally redo things because he has decided to go a different direction. Dylan is supposed to be the next one promoted to VP.
Paige is a grade school teacher. She writes children's stories and keeps trying to get them published. She likes sewing and baking although she typically burns whatever she makes. She loves in a little cabin she just adores and each morning she steps outside to say what all she is grateful for.
Dylan and Paige meet at a bakery down the street from her school. They are interested in each other but no names were exchanged. Each one keeps returning to the bakery hoping to run into the other again. They finally do and it turns out Paige was one of Dylan's nephew's teachers. Dylan and Paige start to see each other and enjoy one another's company.
When the cabin Paige lives in goes up for sale, both Dylan and Paige want to buy it. Neither knows that the other is interested.
It wasn't a bad book. I just couldn't really connect with the characters.
A definite feel good, happy ending story, Sunrise Cabin has likeable characters who feel true to life. This is a quick, easy read that will leave you with a smile on your face, hoping for a sequel.
"Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for the advance copy of this book, in exchange for an honest review."
Loved this book very much. It had just enough sweet romance and the storyline was great! I highly recommend!
