I really enjoyed reading this book. It was funny light-hearted and sexy read. I love books about Greek mythology and I really liked that one. It was my first read by this author. I don't usually like books in third person point of you but I didn't mind it here.

No matter what online dating sites will tell you, love isn’t simple. It’s messy and complicated. And in Crazy Cupid Love by author Amanda Heger, even a descendent of Cupid finds that falling in love—just like making other people fall in love—is pretty tricky business.

Review published on NightsAndWeekends.com and aired on Shelf Discovery.

3.5 stars: This was pretty much ridiculously fun? Like, the ethics of Cupid matchmaking got some serious stink eye from me & I’m not even touching the whole issues of consent awonder, but if you enjoy slapstick-y old fashioned classic romcoms in the style of Cupid’s descendants run competing matchmaking businesses (with some urban fantasy tropes thrown in cause why not), then this is the book for you.

I kind of also want my very bad ABC holiday movie edition of this, so somebody get on that okay?

This was such a fun book to read!
I loved it ❤️!
It was original, funny, quirky and with a good dash of steamy as well 😘. I love Greek mythology and I am always game to read any book even remotely connected to it and this book did not disappoint. It was refreshing to see the characters in a romantic comedy setting for a change but then when you have a story comprising of the descendants of Eros, the god of Love, (the modern day Cupids) and their shenanigans to keep the love enchantment business alive and kicking, it really can't be sold as a tragedy now, can it?

Many thanks to Netgally, the author and publisher for providing me with an ARC.

I thought this book sounded very unique for a romance novel, so I was very excited to pick it up. However, it failed to really hold my attention. I think it's because I wanted a little bit more of the romance than was written here. Kudos to the author for writing an original story, however!

A super cute novel with a Greek mythology modern day twist. Full of laugh out loud funny moments. As a klutz myself, I could totally relate to our heroine!

This book was my most recommended book for the month of February. I loved every minute of it.

Eliza has always been the odd man out in her family, choosing not to go into the family business. But when her father takes ill and her brother is set to go out of town, there is no one left to help her mother and the business that is slowly declining. They can't afford to have both men out, so Eliza makes a deal with her brother to help out... the only thing is she doesn't know that it will involve her one time crush Jake.

Jake has been traveling the world helping the out in areas that were in need of an Eros. But now he's back in town and tasked with being Eliza's mentor as she works towards getting her license to practice as a Cupid.

The sparks fly between these two and a fun and hilarious adventure begins. Eliza and Jake were made for each other and although the book is written in Eliza's POV we get a few chapters of Jake thrown in to sweeten the deal.

Amanda was a new author for me and I can't wait to read the other books in this series.

Eliza is a klutz with a capital K, she’s also a Cupid! Two things that’s should never be mixed together. She’s swore off being a Cupid until her family are in desperate need of her help. To save the family business she needs to pass Cupid School.

Jake had been best friends with Eliza until a ill fated night of enchantment. Eliza couldn’t be sure that Jake liked her for her or if it was the enchantment so she distance herself. Returning home Jake knew this would be the perfect opportunity to finally win Eliza over and to show her there was more to LOVE then a Cupid like her knew.

This is a hilarious take on Cupid’s and the need to find love. Witty and enchanting (no pun intended).

This book was so cute. I wasn't sure what to expect but I loved the description so I wanted to give it a shot. The premise of the book is super unique. Eliza, a descendant of Eros, helps at her parents' cupid shop and accidentally enchants her mentor. This was a whole different experience than most friends-to-lovers stories and I loved it! I will definitely be reading more from this author in the future.

OMG this book cracked me up not only is Eliza a cupid but she always screws up. Watching her make all her mistakes and then transform into where she needs to be brings her on an adventure. She also finds love herself.

This was a fast read and was very entertaining.

The language of this book is sure to make you fall in love and at times leave you in splits. There is power of conviction in author’s words. Initially your mind might be muddled as to what you are getting into but soon you are pulled into a beautiful world of Cupids and you start believing in them. I was half wishing this to be true! There should be Cupid companies around the world.

This is such an adorable chick lit rom-com! It’s of the light paranormal variety, with lots of silly slapstick humor (including smacking a bunch of elderly love bugs with a sentimental wooden spoon), and it’s absolutely perfect for Valentine’s Day!

“I’m so sorry,” she whispered. Eliza squeezed her hands into fists, Don’t look at me still echoing through her brain. What was wrong with her? Clearly, the stress of this day was making her too stupid to live.
Please don’t match me. Please think I’m a hideous hosebeast. Please. With the right—or in this case, wrong—mix of hormones and pheromones, this whole thing would stay a simple accident. But if their hormones and pheromones matched—a complex, confusing, poorly understood phenomenon called attraction—being injured would cause her to fall into deep and serious infatuation with the first person she saw.”

Eliza is a klutz, a capital K klutz. Rather than joining the family business, like her twin brother, Elijah, she’s instead making-do with a succession of temp jobs. After a paperwork snafu lands the family business in danger of closing, her father has a heart attack and her brother has to go overseas for a work trip, Eliza buckles up and agrees to take over the business for a month. Well, she just intends to answer phones and postpone the few appointments they have, that is. Until she finds out that the new laws on the book (yes, of course, they have laws for Cupid-ing, because it’s California) require her to get her provisional Cupid license to even file paperwork. Oh, and her mentor can’t be anyone in her family – but luckily her childhood best friend (and crush) is back in town… Forced into going through the process that brought her so much humiliation – and now with Jake, who still still has feelings for, having a front seat to her screw ups – she soon discovers that there’s something much worse going on than her bumbling attempts at enchantments…

“Eliza stared at the naked Mandroid on her desk. It was time to decide how badly she wanted to be licensed. Yes, she wanted it badly enough to study her ass off. Yes, she wanted it badly enough to put her entire life on hold. But did she want it badly enough to do this?
Yes. Yes, she did. Because at the end of the day, if she had to jerk off a robot to help her family, that was what she’d do.”

I loved Eliza, but I can see how she’d be a problem for some readers. She’s very insecure, and utterly convinced that everyone thinks she’s a failure. Part of the problem is that she’s very klutzy and her Cupid powers are also very strong. While most Cupids require some sort of injury involving blood to form an enchantment (like pricking a finger), dropping a chocolate bar on someone’s foot is enough for Eliza to enchant them. With all Eliza’s seen, she’s convinced that true Love – as opposed to an enchantment – doesn’t exist. A Cupid enchantment lasts for a specified amount of time, and only works if the two parties involved already had some sort of attraction to each other. Watching her attempt to control her powers while also managing her attraction to Jake was absolutely hilarious. Of course there’s a delightful series of screw-ups, including sexbots, addictive phone games, and a lovelorn sea mammal. The chemistry between Eliza and Jake was excellent, and I loved their relationship, possible enchantment and all. As for cons, it is very much on the light side, and some of the plot points verge on silly. The villain’s explanation for his dastardly plan is, well, simply ridiculous, but by that point I was so enchanted by the rest of the book that I just rolled my eyes and kept going.

Overall, this is the perfect little confection if you’re looking for something funny and sweet, and I will definitely keep my eyes out for the next book in the series!

When I read the description of this, I really didn’t think I was going to like this book. It sounded like just another quirky romance killing Greek mythology. However, I liked Eliza right from the beginning. I soon found myself not being able to put the book down until I was done. I liked the brief chapters that were in Jake’s POV. I thought they were the perfect length and info. There was only a couple of things. when it was in Jake’s POV, it was first person but when it was Eliza, it was third person. Also, it’s not explained up front what has to happen for the “cupids” to do their work. It makes it a little confusing as to why things that happen to her occur. It’s not until a pretty good chunk into the book when Eliza is trying to explain things to a potential client that I finally got it. I look forward to reading more from this author.

A romantic comedy with a tad of magic… interesting. Crazy Cupid Love isn’t my normal read although I love romance and who doesn’t love magic, I’ve just never read them in the same book. Amanda Heger is also new to me and is now an author that I look forward to reading more of.

Eliza is a hot mess. Every time she tries to help someone she ends up enchanting someone different and it doesn’t always work out for the best. Jake isn’t worried about Eliza’s mix-up, he just wants to spend time with her. He offers to mentor her as a way to not only help her get her license but to also spend time with her. I enjoyed everything about the two of them. Together they made me laugh and smile, their adventures in getting Eliza mentioned made me shake my head and grin, and I cheered them on from their meeting in the driveway on Eliza’s birthday.

I’d recommend this to someone looking for a light fun read. There is romance, there is magic, and there is family.

I think this book will be great for some readers, I'm just not one of them. The writing is fun but I just couldn't get into the plot or connect with the characters. I felt there wasn't enough of a backstory for me to believe the long-lasting crush turned Love between Eliza and Jake. Their relationship came off as almost too fluffy and easy.

I thought it was interesting that readers were giving Jake's perspective in chapters ending in .5. It was nice getting to see the same scenes from his perspective, but I didn't understand why his chapters were written in first person and Eliza's were written in third person. If anything, it should have been the other way around so readers could connect more directly with Eliza.

In general I enjoyed this book and was not sure what to expect when I started it! I loved the contemporary (and steamy) romance moments from this book and it was the perfect read for February! Jake was my favorite character and I’m excited to see where the next book goes!

I. Loved. This. Book!! This author was new to me, and this story sounded unique, so I jumped in...best decision ever. I am now in love with a new author. This story was cute and quirky and absolutely hilarious. I laughed so hard, my husband banned me from reading in bed...again. I highly recommend this adorable book to everyone I know. I’ll definitely be talking about this story for a long while. The characters are fun, but also relatable, and the story is fast paced and entertaining. Each twist and turn was unpredictable and exciting. I couldn’t put this book down. Who needs sleep when you get to read a book this amazing?!

Crazy Cupid Love is a humorous upbeat contemporary romance with a bit of Greek mythology thrown in.
The main character Eliza Herman comes from a family of Erosians, descendants of Ancient Greek God of Love, who run a slightly old-fashioned matchmaking business. Eliza, however, is a bit of a black sheep in her family- she is clumsy and prone to accidentally enchanting senior citizens, and, worst of all, she does not really believe in love. When her father suddenly falls ill, she finds out her parents’ Cupid agency is in financial trouble. Eliza is keen to stand in, but she needs to get a temporary licence even to answer phones- Cupid business is heavily regulated by A.S.S. (Affection, Seduction and Shellfish department). In order to get that, she needs a mentor who would supervise her first enchantments. Enter Jack Sanders, her childhood BFF and lifelong crush, who has somehow turned into one of the sexiest men alive. The chemistry between the two main characters is amazing, and is one of the best features of this novel. Eliza’s first three cases go really well and she begins to feel she can make her parents proud. Then, things go pear-shaped and it is up to our heroes to help the hapless couples and save the world. I must admit, I did not see the twist and did not guess the villain until the very last moment, which made it even more enjoyable for me.
I loved the humour, the banter, Eliza’s incredible predicaments, the Nereid night and, of course, Ron deserves a special mention.
If you are looking for something light-hearted and romantic at the same time, go for this book, it won’t disappoint you.
