3.5 stars

I was given a reading copy, in exchange for an honest review. Who I Am With You, was easy to get into. Jessica is filled with grief, when her grandmother dies, and is still in shock, from dealing with a secret she hasn't shared with anyone.
Ridley comes to a small town in Idaho, running away from a political mess he got tangled in, the last thing he expects is to find friendship and possibly love.
There are two stories in one book, one set in present day and the other in the depression years.
I visited Idaho for the first time last summer and loved that this book was set there.

This was a sweet, comfortable story. Fans of Richard Paul Evans or Nicholas Sparks will enjoy this book. Two stories told, one present and other during the Great depression. The great grandparent's story of their marriage stressed the importance of a biblical foundation by referencing passages in the Bible. Both Jessica and Ridley's story and great grandparent's story dealt with loss, betrayal and forgiveness. Very enjoyable! Recommended!

My Thoughts: I was smitten by the concept and the cozy remote setting. There's a dual-timeline story taking place here so the reader can learn more about her grandfather whose Bible she's now reading. His portion of the story was my favorite.
While I did feel like the conversations and personalities in the contemporary portion of the story was rather dull, I did highly appreciate Hatcher's attention to spiritual matters. She used Scripture in a natural way. And her message on ultimate forgiveness in spite of adultery was inspiring and very well done.

Rating and Recommendation: I'd recommend it to Christian fiction fans, especial those who enjoy dual-timeline or contemporary. I'm giving it 3.5 stars.

Jessica Mason isn’t looking for love when she meets Ridley Chesterfield. Instead she is still reeling from the tragic, unexpected loss of her husband and daughter—and awaiting the arrival of her unborn child. Harboring the secret of her husband’s betrayal, her pain is deeper than anyone knows.
Ridley Chesterfield is hiding out in Hope Springs, Idaho, avoiding a political scandal and the barrage of false media headlines that have tarnished his good name. The last thing Ridley wants is a relationship—but when fate leads Ridley to form a friendship with his reclusive and pregnant neighbor, he wonders if this small-town hideout might be more of a long-term destination.
When Jessica begins to read her great-grandfather’s Bible, she finds a connection with a man she never knew. Somehow the verses he marked and the words he wrote in the margins open her heart to healing. And as Ridley and Jessica help each other forgive the people who have wronged them, they must decide if the past will define them or if they will choose to love again.

To me this book is about forgiveness. Jessica has to forgive her husband for his deceit and herself for per perceived fault in the car accident that claimed her husband and daughters lives. Ridley has to forgive those who should have stood up for him and those who wronged him and ruined his reputation. Then you go back to the 1930's and visit Jessica's great grandparents. Her great grandfather had a lot of things to forgive. I can't say I'm a fan of books that skip back and forth between periods. I did enjoy reading the book and seeing how Jessica and Ridley worked things out.

I was give this book by Thomas Nelson Publishing by way of NetGalley for an honest review. I was not compensated in any way.

I couldn't put this book down. Jessica is left feeling betrayed and abandoned when she meets her neighbor, Ridley who is trying to escape public humiliation. They gradually break through each other's barriers and form a lasting friendship. The depth of the characters in this story will tug on your heart strings long after you have finished the last page. Robin Lee Hatcher has once again written a captivating story.

This was such a sweet romance. My heart broke for Jessica and I felt like defending Ridley right out the start gate. Their relationship grew so organically and I loved the tie slip back to Andrew and Helen. This is a beautiful story of love and redemption and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Who I Am with You by Robin Lee Hatcher is a wonderful book about second chances and forgiveness. I really enjoy the duel timeline! Jessica is alone and pregnant after her husband and daughter die in an accident. As she starts to read her Great Grandfather's Bible she begins to heal. Ridley is in hiding after being accused of something he didn't do. They gradually become friends as well as neighbors. The duel timeline takes place during the Great Depression. Love, betrayal can there be forgiveness and second chances? Both are great stories with a look towards unconditional love and forgiveness.

Robin Lee Hatcher writes excellent novels. I don't always like her subject matter, but that's a matter of personal taste. Who I Am with You takes on a modern day woman whose husband killed himself and their daughter by his reckless driving. It also takes on a media consultant for a woman running for office who had information from her past leaked to the press.

Jessica and Ridley both hide out in the southwestern Idaho mountains--as luck would have it--next door to each other. Jessica is pregnant with her late husband's baby and just lives in her house and continues working at her art business.

At her grandmother's funeral, Jessica is given her great great grandfather's Bible. At this point, the story goes back and forth between modern day and the Great Depression. The only criticism I have for this book is that Robin's transitions are abrupt and lack smoothness that leads from one era to another and from one generation to another.

Still in all there are parallels between the two generations and the growth of faith among all the characters. This is a solid 4 star book.

Who I Am with You (A Legacy of Faith Novel) is the first book in a new series by author Robin Lee Hatcher. I am a fan of the author and enjoy her writing style. This book was a sweet inspirational read with two timelines. Both story lines had potential but I was disappointed that the legacy of faith was too subtle and never came together at the end of the book. Maybe this will happen as the series progresses with the next book. The writing and character development were very great and overall it was an enjoyable read.

I received a copy from the publisher through Net Galley. This review is my honest opinion.

While I am not a great fan of contemporary fiction, I am a great fan of Robin Lee Hatcher and after reading this book, I can say I am even more of a fan. What a great job she did of weaving the hurt and heartache of two generations, who never knew each other, into one story with such a powerful message. Once I started reading, I could not put it down. I fell in love with the characters as they faced their struggles and found faith and courage to make a positive difference in their world. When I finished I breathed a happy sigh and wished there was could have been more.

Based on the description, I wasn't expecting to love this book. Lo and behold, I did!

Who I Am With You is an engaging, warm, sweet Christian Romance that makes you want to curl up with a cup of tea and read it in one sitting. That's basically what I did! The characters are lovable and engaging, and the plot (as well as the characters' romance) moves at the perfect pace.
Would definitely recommend!

I absolutely loved this book! The characters were so wonderful, I felt so deeply for Jessica. I went through the emotion with Jessica, her character was so well written. Ridley’ character was so easy to like. I imagine him as very handsome with a warm and gentle personality. The story was written in past and present. I love how well it was written, both stories kept me so caught up in the book I didn’t want it to end. This book brought out so many emotions, only a really good book can do that!

“Who I am with you” by Robin Lee Hatcher is a wonderful story of second chances, forgiveness, and learning to love again. Enjoyed this book so much. It has two stories going. Jessica is a young widow who has lost so much and now loses her grandmother. She is presented with her grandmother’s Bible and we are told her story also through the book.

Jessica has met a new neighbor, Ridley who has past heartaches of his own and follow along as they develop their sweet relationship.

A good book that keeps your interest throughout

Jessica is still hurting from the unexpected loss of her husband and daughter. Her husband's betrayal keeps her from trusting again. In the meantime she has lost her faith. Through little fault of his own, Ridley is involved in a political scandal and hiding.out until another big story comes along. Ridley and Jessica are drawn to each other can they find it in their heart to trust each other and find their way back to their faith?

I really enjoyed this book and recommend it to all. It is a very fast and wonderful read.

Thank you Netgally and Thomas Nelson for allowing me to read this title for an honest review

WHO I AM WITH YOU. by Robin Lee Hatcher
Jessica five months was not enough after losing husband and daughter, her grandmother’s funeral today brings it all back. A legacy of a Bible once again be passed on,, was left to her now. Solitude was what she wanted, in time maybe let people in. Her Mom’s words she hoped this. Bible would bring her peace, and answers she needed to begin again.
Rildley needed a place of quiet to get his head on straight, and figure out what he wanted to do next. He was at peace, with God now, and then start being with people again.
Story that pulls you in, of two people wanting the solitude, and pushing the hurt in the background, coming to realize they are never alone. God and prayers of others are with them. Making choices of moving forward and connecting with others. A simple step was bathing a dog he found, together.
Her books always reach you for the issues and emotions and how the characters deal with them. Given ARC by Net Galley and Thomas Nelson for my voluntary review and my honest opinion.

I loved this book. Who I Am With You is one of those books I didn't want to end. I fell in love with the characters and want to know the rest of the story. Robin Lee Hatcher writes her characters with depth and insight. I enjoyed both Jessica's story and that of her grandfather. And I loved how the two connected through an old Bible. What a legacy! The town of Hope Springs sounds like some place I'd like to visit with its quaint downtown and surrounding mountains. The book as a whole is enjoyable and thought provoking with a beautiful spiritual thread woven throughout. This is the first in a series. I'm excited for the second one to be published. I received a complimentary copy of this book from Thomas Nelson through NetGalley. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

What a heartwarming romantic story Ms. Hatcher has given us. It is about, love, lose, regrets, faith and second chances. Our hero, Ridley and heroine, Jessica, have both suffered from recent tragedies. They are secluding themselves from friends, family and society. Jessica has a home business and is working hard at creating one of a kind Christian wall hangings. Ridley has just moved in next door for the summer and has plans to work on his mother and stepfather's house. There is also a precious rescued Sheltie dog in the story. Who doesn't love a puppy, kitten or baby?

Due to the situations that have happened, Jessica and Ridley find themselves at odds with God. They are finding it hard to trust, not just people, but God too. When given an antique Bible from her great grandfather, Jessica finds she is interested in reading his notes and underlined passages. After a short while, she realizes God is still there and is speaking to her through His word. Jessica and Ridley find they are helping each other to forgive the ones that have hurt them and to heal.

We get a glimpse of Grandpa Andrews life in 1930's. Ms. Hatcher intertwines contemporary and historical stories in such a flawless way. This story kept me guessing throughout and left me wanting more at the end. I have some unanswered questions. Since this is book number one of the Legacy of Faith Series, I can only hope my questions will be answered in the coming up books.
