Robin Lee Hatcher combines historical romance with modern day romance as the main character, Jessica, receives her great-grandfather's Bible and learns HIS story as she struggles with forgiving her late husband. Meanwhile, a new neighbor, Ridley, who is struggling with his own forgiveness issues, becomes a closer and closer friend. Great story of friendship and romance but even deeper story on the difficulties and benefits of forgiving those who hurt us in the most difficult ways possible. GREAT story. Not as heavy as the review might imply, but not a light-hearted book either. Well written!

Robin Lee Hatcher's latest book does not disappoint. Jessica and Ridley are two people who have been hurt in different ways and are trying to isolate themselves. They wind up living next door to each other and are drawn to each others stories.

Jessica begins reading an old Bible from a relative, Andrew. She finds hope in courage in the verses and notes throughout the Bible. She sees that there is hope and love, despite the circumstances, is always a choice.

I love the intertwining of 2 different generations of this family and what we can learn from others trials and triumphs. I found myself rooting for all of the characters during the book and reading quickly to discover their outcomes. This book left me wanting more. This is a good thing since it is the first of a series involving Andrew's Bible.
This is a good romantic read with a story of hope, love, and God's faithfulness.

Excellent book by Ms. Hatcher. Relatable characters, descriptive narrative, good plot. Recommend to contemporary romance fans.

I thought this book was reminiscent of Nicholas Sparks book The Longest Ride. It has the two stories at once that span time and this one there is a connection between the two time periods that was absent in Sparks book. I did love both stories and thought the majority of the book was well written, however a few things were left to question. What happened to the family of the house that Ridley purchased? What happen to Kris? The last time she is mentioned is when Selene visited and then it was if she disappeared. What happened to the family across the street that Aaron spoke of that was worried about war? A lot of open ended questions that were not answered...

Ms Hatcher has been able to weave the contemporary issues into the daily lives of the characters both in the 1930s (prohibition, war, the Great Depression) and the 2010s (election scandals, social media).  This is particularly interesting because some Christian authors tend to address important issues and their effect on Christian beliefs in a vacuum.  The characters are relatable, the kind of people, you would envision sitting down and chatting over a cup of jo.

Who I am with You is a great read for someone who needs encouragement especially when faced with external circumstances beyond their control. It serves as a great reminder that God is in control regardless of the situation.  Andrew Henning's storyline will remind readers of the importance of building family legacies which can be as simple as keeping passing down your study Bible.  

This is my first Robin Lee Hatcher book and I am looking forward to the other books in this series.

The latest book by Ms. Hatcher does not disappoint! This is an excellent romantic story that will leave the reader wanting to read more. This book focuses on Jessica, who has lost her husband and daughter several months prior to the setting of the book. The other main character is Ridley, who has gone through some hardships and disappointments in his career choices. Both have isolated themselves, but find themselves drawn to each other. At the beginning of the book, Jessica is given a family Bible that was her great-grandfather’s Bible. Along with Jessica and Ridley’s story, you will learn about her great-grandfather’s story. I enjoyed the back and forth between the two time periods. This Christian book examines trust, forgiveness, and love. Ms. Hatcher reminds us that love is a choice and we can choose each day to express love to those around us. This was a heartfelt, Christian story that reminds us that things happen out of our control, but that God is right there with us through it all and will help us if we let Him. I highly recommend this book! I really enjoyed reading it and loved the theme of the book and reading about both generations. I can’t wait for the release of the next book (Ms. Hatcher provides you with an excerpt at the end)!

WHO I AM WITH YOU by ROBIN LEE HATCHER is an emotional read, which deals with two sets of people in two different timelines, all of whom are trying to overcome betrayal of some sort.
In present time, Ridley Chesterfield comes to the small town of Hope Springs in order to escape a political scandal in which he was falsely accused. He is staying in his parents' holiday home, where they hope to retire one day, right next door to Jessica Mason, a young pregnant widow, who is trying to get over her husband's betrayal and her daughter's death.
The parallel timeline starts in 1929 with the marriage of Andrew Henning and Helen Grayson and goes on through the depression.
In both cases there is betrayal, unforgiveness, and even a false sense of guilt to overcome, and we see how the Lord works in each of the situations. The novel is largely based on Romans chapter eight, verses twenty-six to twenty-eight, and we do indeed see how good comes out of each situation. I like the way Andrew Henning's bible, which ends up being left to Jessica by her grandmother, Frani, plays a big part in the story.
It is a sensitively told story with a really good Christian message.
