Ok for a mass market paperback. Lots of sex but little development of the romance. Firefighter and nurse who cares for him fall into lust.

The second book in the series is an improvement from the first one. The hero was likable for one. The heroine was a nice person too. I didn't get her at times but she wasn't a bad person.I just couldn't relate to her or even understand her to some degree. I did like the story though and I was actually hooked. The book might be short but I thought it was well developed.
Each book in the series might feature a different couple, but I feel like if you read the first book first you will get a better feeling of the town and the secondary characters. Of course, the book can be read just as easily as a stand-alone without a problem.

What is it about firefighters that are so dreamy? I really enjoyed this novel, and look forward to many more by Leslie North.

Typical arrogant firefighter gets hurt saving a dog and ends up in the care of a hot blonde nurse, who’s hurt from a previous tragedy. The usual ensues.
I want to stress that there’s nothing wrong with this book, just that it doesn’t stand out in any way. It basically plugs its characters into a standard plot, gives them a huge attraction for each other and a few made-up roadblocks because they can’t get out of their heads and communicate with each other, and then resolves it. By the numbers.

I cannot get enough of this author and this series!

Each book is an intense emotional and SEXY storyline that grabs you right from the start keeping you engrossed and on edge throughout the whole book!

Another fantastic story from Leslie North. The right amount of sexy balanced with some angst and emotions, and seeing how Landon and Alex interact with each other is pretty hot.

He never anticipated landing up in the hospital. The white lights surrounded him as he encountered his Angel. Having her take care of him was definitely a treat. Alex feels drawn to him even though she still has not grieved for her husband. Losing her husband in the line of duty made her take a step back when she begins to evaluate her relationship with Landon. It’s no longer fun and games as she attempts to shield her heart. She should have known she never stood a chance.

Landon Brenner fights his attraction to Alexandra but a fire threatening the town brings their love to the front . Second book in the California wildfighters fighter series. Looking forward to reading the next book .

We meet Alexandra (Alex) Appleby and Landon Brenner. Landon has been a man who gets in there and gets the job done. While trying to save a dog he finds himself trap under a tree. Luckily he was saved before it took his life but now comes the aftermath from what happened during that rescue.

Alex is working in a private hospital with a jerk of a boss. So when he tells her the hospital can't pay any more overtime but offers to let her volunteer she takes that option. Not so she can be near the boss but so she doesn't have to sit at home alone and dwell on things. When she offers her home to recuperating Landon, what could possibly go wrong OR right?

Sassy and sexy - and loads of fun!

I absolutely loved this book it was intriguing and suspenseful and a fabulous read and I recommend giving it a try holds your attention and an enjoyable read

The characters and the storyline were both entertaining and kept me hooked from start to finish. It’s one of those books that you really don’t want to end. What a fantastic second book in this brilliant series by Leslie North. Can’t wait to get my hands on the 3rd and finally book in this fabulous series that I am absolutely enjoying from book one to book two and then book three. Totally recommend

I liked this book. Although I felt a section at the end was a little unrealistic. But overall I’m enjoying the series. Looking forward to reading Hank & Lana’s story.

Now this I would call a Blazing Hot romance. Enjoyed it from start to finish. Ms. North has written a solid firefighter romance.

I love firefighter stories and "Blazing Hot" is scorching! Leslie North delivers another HOT firefighter romance with Landon and Alex. Who wouldn't fall in love with firefighter Landon who risked his life to say a dog. Alex may fix him up and work hard to resist him, but these two were made to fall in love. The author weaves a story that is romantic of two people attracted to each other while one is laid up in need of care, and the other fights her own demons while aiding the healing of a man she is attracted to. Leslie North always delivers on hot sexy romance with HEAs. I would like to thank NetGalley and Relay Pub. for gifting me "Blazing Hot". My opinion is my own. This is mine. 4.75 Stars!

Plenty heat in this and not just because of the fire! Emotional and sexy it’s a winner!
