A story of love lost and found again. Alex is the compassionate nurse to Landon’s passionate firefighter...their chemistry is palpable, their story captivating. With subplots to keep things even more interesting, this is definitely a story that is sure to make your pulse accelerate.

This ARC book was complimentary, provided by the Publisher and NetGalley. I am voluntarily providing my honest review.

Blazing Hot is Leslie North's second book in a series about wildfire firefighters fighting a forest blaze in Cedar Springs. This book focuses on the relationship between Landon and Alex. With some steamy moments, the reader will be sure to enjoy this book.

If you are looking for a quick afternoon read, this book is for you!

A sweet, steamy quick read. Really enjoyed this story about Alex and Landon. Alex can’t make up her mind about her future when she is deeply embedded in the past. Landon exemplifies true courage and patience while fighting fires and his passion for Alex. Eventually these two heat up the sheets. But it was really good to read how the characters developed along the way.

4.5 Stars Blazing Hot is a well written story, filled with emotion, conflict and romance. Alex and Landon are amazing characters and are well suited and I would definitely recommend this book and series.

This is a voluntary review of an advanced copy.

Wow, the romance continues as the firefighters keep fighting the fire. Landon is rushed to the hospital when he is injured trying to save a dog from the fire. Alex is one of the nurses who gives him care.

Alex is a widow and doesn't want to give her heart to another man that could die in the line of duty. So, they try for the short fling but things never work out well for that!

The only thing I wish there was a mention of a resolution to the creepy doctor issue. She reported him but did he get fired???

Loved the HEA, and can't wait to see the big second chance for Hank and Lana.

BLAZING HOT by LESLIE NORTH is a romance involving a FIREMAN and Nurse. I loved the part about the stray dog Blaze! It's a fast read with interesting characters.

I was given an ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest and independent review.
A steamy hot romantic book which was quick and easy to read.
But I just didn’t feel the emotional (rather than physical) connection between the two characters. I also felt like the storyline was fairly weak because it did not get a chance to develop and therefore a bit unrealistic in it’s haste.
Just wanted more.
2.5 stars

Another great story. I love the continuation of the story and the little glimpses of the other characters. Landon and Alex are both troubled souls who find each other and know how to fix each other too. The heartbreak from Alex an Landon were so similar but neither could see their own, only each other’s. Another great book

It was okay. Steamy, but I couldn't connect to the characters. It was a fast read, perfect for a quick afternoon read.

There are tragedies in the past for both Landon and Alex; deaths that make it difficult for either one of them to fully move forward with their lives. Landon’s injuries and the wildfire threatening the town, bring the past into the present where Alex and Landon will have to confront what’s been holding them back before they can move forward. Strangely enough, I didn’t find that this book had quite the same emotional impact as the first in the series. By the end though, I think it had more than made up for that fact in pure “awe” factor. The only thing I think I’m missing is that I would have loved to see Landon better deal with the ghosts that haunt him. However, the heat these two generated nearly fried my reader. I can’t wait to see what’s in store for us in the next book.
I received a complimentary copy of this book through NetGalley.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from NetGalley and I am voluntarily reviewing it.

This was a fast read. It grabs you in from the beginning. I didn't read the first book and I didn't need to to read this one but I probably will. It would be nice to see the fire gripping the area from the beginning and the Alaskan firefighters coming to help in the relief. The characters were wonderful and the plot flew by. I loved Landon's and Alex's story. I can't wait to read more. If you like (love) firefighter romance, get this one a try.

This was an okay quick read, but I don't think it was long enough to connect with either of the main characters.

Blazing Hot is the exciting second book in Leslie North’s Californian Wildfire Fighters series, and bot what a sizzling read it is! I absolutely loved both these characters and their struggle to purge their respective ghosts from the past.

Landon is sexy, dedicated and a true romantic at heart, while Alex is the epitome of a caring, compassionate nurturer. Together they are a raging inferno, destined to burn with unrestrained desire. But can Alex leave her demons in the closet and finally realise that while passion is in the moment, love is long term and unpredictable, but definitely worth the risk?

I’ll let you the reader discover the answer for yourself, as you navigate their steamy nights and emotionally and trying days while they examine their relationship. They will wrestle with healing and recovery, debilitating exhaustion and an evil that is unrequited and inappropriate lust; all this will test their strength and resolve.

I hope you enjoy Landon and Alex’s story every bit as much as I did.

This standalone romance is packed with fiery heat and incinerating emotions!

Landon and Alex are intensely attracted to each other, but they couldn't be more wrong for each other's long-term goals. Alex is still mourning her adrenaline-junkie late husband and steadfastly refuses to take that kind of risk again, while Landon lives for the opportunity to run straight toward danger and do as much good as he can.

Ah, but when Landon needs a place to stay and a bit of skilled nursing care as he recuperates from a nasty accident, Alex can't turn him away and their close proximity forces all their emotions to the surface and things go from zero to explosive in record time.

I loved the intense passion in this story - not just for each other, but for their jobs and the community they're working to protect. I really enjoyed getting to know some of the other characters in Cedar Springs, especially those who will be featured in the next book. This series is brilliantly written, and is everything a romance reader could want. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
