I didn't like this as much as I was hoping. I couldn't get behind the hero. Both of these characters has painful pasts and lost someone but I didn't feel the sympathy for them I should have. Neither character felt developed or had an interesting personality. Being alpha doesn't mean you have to be a jerk, i'm over jerks. It ended on a cute note, so it has that going for it.

This is a short, steamy story that you can finish in one setting. There is great chemistry between the characters and they are easy to like.

Ok, so apparently I still have a thing for the alpha jerk billionaires because being inside Jacks's head in this book did it for me! Oh and he is a total jerk.

But then he kind of took it too far and I did not like the way he was acting. Poor Stacy.....innocent and pure, raised by a very religious family.....but apparently, she was a submissive at heart. How does that happen?

Just too much, too soon, and I needed them to take it slower. But it was a short story so I guess that just wasn't possible.

Tall, Dark and Stormy was my second book by Mickey Miller. I like his writing style but this book left me a bit taken aback. Okay, I know this is fiction but I have to suspend my disbelief so much I went out of space . I guess, I just didn't buy the public virginity auction for charity plot ...too many laws broken.
Nevertheless, in the positive side, sexy times are HOT.

Tall, Dark and Stormy is my first Mickey Miller book and I don't know that I liked it enough to try again. From the start the book was a bit hard to follow. I didn't like the male lead at all and while we were eventually given a small detail about his history that should have made him sympathetic, it just didn't work. I didn't really care for the female lead either. And for personal reasons, the background that we are given about her almost made me want to DNF the book, but I pressed on in the hopes that it would get better. But alas, it didn't. The whole story was choppy and erratic and there wasn't really anything I enjoyed about the experience. I'll chalk this up to a case of "it's not you, it's me." 2 out of 5 wine glasses.

M/F Fantasy Romance

Virgins auctioning off themselves in order to raise money to help a good cause... this is what Mr. H sees when he scans his employee computer data base, checking up on his people.

Stacy is an intern at Mr. H's company and she has fantasized about her boss for months. She is writing a story about her fantasy.

When Mr. H calls Stacy into his office, he knows that he is wildly out of control. Despite that, he can't help himself.

This is a darker storyline than the other Sorority stories – both of these characters have painful pasts. I do wish that there was more character development. This is mostly their hookups and not much about their relationship. It's still entertaining, but it's really just about their physical relationship.

Stacy, being a part of Beta Kappa Nu, has agreed to auction off her virginity to raise money for their sister's brother. Stacy, just like the others, put her ad up using an alias. She's scared who will win the bid for her. Working as an intern, she only has eyes for her sexy boss. She never expected that he would know about her crush but when he calls her into his office, she's terrified.

Jack was in love once, but he's never wanted to experience the hurt he had in that relationship. What he's not expecting while watching his employees’ computer access is seeing his intern working on an ad to auction off her virginity. That only has him shocked, but seeing he stars in her very vivid fantasy has him needing her in his office asap.

Tall, Dark and Stormy is a quick sexy read. I was intrigued by Jack and would love to see a novel on his character. Definitely the perfect sized book to be able to finish when you don't have a ton of time.

And here marks the next series in Carina Press' Dirty Bits. This one is all about a sorority who are a bunch of good and caring girls, only wanting to help one of their sisters as her brother, a fire fighter, was burned in a fire at an animal shelter. To help pay his medical bills as well as help the shelter, these girls are going to auction off their virginity. Yeah, that's right. THEIR VIRGINITY.

Is that even legal? Who cares, right? It's for charity! After I stopped rolling my eyes at the story prompt for these few books, I dug in and read them all in a day. Some better than others. Some of these girls aren't actually virgins, and some of the stories had me cringing. What they didn't have me doing was putting them down.

Yes, they're silly and sort of ridiculous, but I needed the escape they granted me so, here's to Carina Press and their Dirty Bits books. I will always pick them up, no matter what.

Stacy and her boss... who, honestly, I'm blanking on his name. Totally inappropriate workplace manipulation despite Stacy and her lusting over her boss. It WAS dirty and sort of wrong. It was particularly wrong when the book started with the boss firing someone for inappropriate behavior (sexual harassment) and then turning right around and doing exactly what he was firing someone for! In the end the story got cute, but not before the cringe worthy line crossing.

Tall, Dark, and Stormy is the fourth book in the Sorority Secrets series. The Sorority Secrets series is an anthology series surrounded around a virginity auction being held as a charity to help one of the Sorority Sisters' brother who was badly injured in a fire. These novels are complete standalones.
Tall, Dark, and Stormy is told in Stacy and Jack's point of view.

Holy hell, I wasn't expecting this novel to be so damn dark and enticing. I legit read this in one sitting and under an hour. I ate this one up! Think, 50 Shades of Grey but in a more haunting and taboo environment. Jack and Stacy are perfect for each other. She's exactly the type of person he needs to get over his late fiancee.

Speaking of backstory's, one thing I dislike about novella type books, I always feel like I'm missing something and this one is no exception. I felt this could have easily been a great full length novel. I wanted more context and more emotion from these characters. I was left feeling a little underwhelmed. I needed a little bit more.

On a positive note, this is the first novel by Mickey Miller that I have read and I have to say, I'm impressed with the writing style. I can see myself picking up another novel by this author in the future.

I'm actually torn about this book. I've liked the other books in this series thus far, (even reading the 5th before this one), but this installment just doesn't sit well with me for some reason....ugh...

Stacy is one of the notorious sorority girls auctioning off their virginity in order to raise money for a good cause. At least that's how they see it. She's also an intern for a multimillionaire who she's been fantasizing about for a very long time. Fantasies come true, right?

Jack is the multimillionaire. He's also a class act A-hole who knows he's that why, but doesn't seem to care. At least not until he catches Stacy reading her auction profile on the company computer and company time. After reading her fantasy about him, he can't seem to let it go. In fact, he can't seem to let her go.

The concept/thought process of this story was all there. I think it's the male character I'm having a problem with. Although we know he's an A-hole, he's over the top. Even his endearments aren't, despite his proclamation that they are. I can't blame the female character though. I mean, her fantasies are coming true after all. So, there's that. Don't get me wrong. I enjoy a good cocky alpha, but I guess I just didn't get this one.

Loved this book by Mickey Miller! Stacy and Jack are lusting after each other but their romance is forbidden as he is her boss. This is a quick and dirty novella - with a happy ending. The Dirty Bits series is perfect for a quick, satisfying read.

I've read a few books by this author and this one was unlike any of those. Especially because I didn't like it. It didn't even sound like something he would write. Ah well. You've got two characters who have lost loves. The hero seemed to still be grieving even after becoming involved with the heroine. Honestly, their match up made no sense and lacked any real heat. I didn't feel a connection and couldn't believe how unrealistic their relationship was. He's a kagillionaire who owns what seems to be the one club in town... and he's got a sex dungeon in the basement that he had put in for the love he's lost. She's an intern at his company who has been fantasizing about him when she takes time from being a walking talking contradiction - she's bisexual and a Jehovah's Witness. What?! Absolutely not my taste.

This was quite the little hot book. It didn’t seem to actually flow into the multiauthor event that the rest play by and I think this is book 4 not that there is any rhyme or reason to the numbering of the books. This book confuses me with ages really. Stacy or April is a full time employee of Mr. H, or Huston and yet still in a sorority. I liked this taboo element of boss and coworker. That part worked quite well. But it felt the author was trying to throw way too many elements into this book that didn’t all pan out. <Spoiler>Stacy is a lesbian who’s never had sex with a male or a female but desires her male boss. Both of our main characters lost their last girlfriend due to a car wreck where they died. Stacy is a Jehovah’s Witness? There’s a sex basement? </spoiler>. I think if the elements were really chosen better this would have been a 5 because if all the spoiler tags were removed it would have been more focused and effective. It actually makes me sad that it didn’t pan out.

As soon as I started reading this I disliked Jack right away. He had just fired a couple of people and it made him feel like a badass. Sure the guy he fired had it coming after sending a female co-worker dick pics but that's beside the point. This guy was getting off on the power he held and I didn't like him.

Jack was curious about Stacey so he checked what she had been looking at on the work computers and saw she was auctioning off her virginity. He was shocked at first, then more curious and then intrigued. He decides to call Stacey into his office and let her know that he read what she wrote about him, her fantasies about him and the auction.

I really liked Stacey and after a while I liked Jack as well. They both have painful pasts and while Jack's past made him a bitter jerk, it made Stacey a better person. Jack remembers how he used to be before he was emotionally hurt and he realizes that Stacey is pulling that part out of him again. They get along really well and this story turns hot and sexy really fast.

This is a fast novella. It might be a quick read but it was hot, dark and steamy.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Tall, Dark and Stormy by Mickey Miller is book Four in the Sorority Secrets series. This is the story of Stacy and Jack. This can be a standalone book.
It's Stacy turn at the Sorority to auction off her virginity for charity. Stacey knows who she wishes would bid on it but Jack is her harsh boss at the place she interns at. Jack knows he gives a tough attitude that scares off a lot of people..he likes it that way it seems. But one Stacy is working her way into his boarded up heart.
Quick hot read!

Excellent short story by Mickey Miller - When Jack Hutson finds out his Intern Stacy is selling her self at a Virgin Auction he goes all out to get the "boyish" looking Intern. It seems they can each heal the wounds of the other of the past. It's Erotic and sexy but most of all it has an "aww" moments.

Mickey Miller is a new to me author and I enjoyed the style of writing and storytelling.

The main characters, Stacy and Jack have a ten year age gap that I liked a lot. Also, there's not much space for character development since the story is so short but it ticked all the right boxes for me.

Writing wise I think the author did a pretty good job. The structure is there, the flow is continuous since the beginning of the story and the ending it's a cute HEA.

Sexy scenes in this book are done with a good dose of sexiness and a little bit of dominance. I know there were some terms thrown in there to make it hotter but with such a short amount of pages is no wonder they are there.

All in all, I enjoyed the book. I had a pretty good time unwinding from the regular stress of the day reading a fiction romance that, even though mostly unrealistic, fulfilled my need for romance and steamy moments.

I would recommend this book to those that like short romances with steamy scenes. Oh, and don't forget the millionaire boss.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book provided by Netgalley. The opinions expressed are my own.
