Gideon promises to behave in order to get what he needs. Thirty days of playing nice and he can have what he wants. Will he be able to keep his promise when he meets Leonora Branson?

Both are dealing with family expectations and obligations with past transgressions that could impact their partnership. Can they survive the thirty days knowing their attraction sizzles?

One bet. One Kiss. Secrets for days. Who will win, who will sacrifice?

A scorchin read. This is part of a series but can be read as a standalone.

This book is WORTH the READ. Zara Cox is a name easy to remember and for some odd reason, I wait to read her books. I see her name and I immediately want to pick it up and then I sit on it. I have no idea why. This book is a great read and I snarfed it down like a famine victim. I loved it.

This romance is pretty stereotypical. Boy and Girl and both burned from relationship and after years of being hurt, they are maybe ready to seek new love. Normally this would be a yawn plot for me. The difference here is that the characters are written in a way that are both appealing and draws me in. Ms. Cox's writing style, specifically how she creates her characters is especially appealing to me. I liked Leonie. She is a woman with a goal and she is firm in decisions. Her sexual confidence is so sexy. Her solid self-esteem is refreshing to see. Instead of being cowed or butt hurt by a man's opinion, she lets it roll off her back and gives it right back. Leonie is the kind of character I admire.

Gideon on the other hand is a bad boy who I'm not sure is worth the trouble. It took me a bit to warm up to him. He is hung on a past filtered through a narrative he created in his head. He makes a grave mistake and it cost him years. It takes a woman, Leonie to wake him up and realize he's been a fool. Their shared experience and different responses to it is interesting to see. The contrasts makes for a good story. It isn't that one way is better than another. It's that they are different and one person's decisions caused more harm than necessary. That is life. I like how Ms. Cox creates flawed characters who have room to grow. This new series has me hooked and I want to read every single one of them.
This book is highly recommended to erotic romance readers who enjoy alpha males and independent women.

This title fell somewhat flat for me. I get that this is a shorter romance and a lot of the situations, by definition, the characters end up in are going to be far-fetched...but I just couldn't relate to the characters.

As always, I appreciate the opportunity to read and review this title.

Gideon is a multi-millionaire CEO of his family business and a playboy to boot. When the family decides he must toe the line, clean up his act or give up his place as CEO, Gideon knows he can do that and win over the Russian for the biggest deal in the family business history.

Leonie owns her own business selling luxury yachts. When Gideon calls about leasing the largest yacht to schmooze his client, maybe he or the client will end up buying the yacht and she will get a large commission. But talking to Gideon on the phone is making her want to throw her phone or hit him. Either would make her feel better.

When Gideon steps off the plane, Leonie is struck stupid and her jaw hit the ground. And Gideon is almost struck the same with her. There is chemistry and electricity pulling them together, but Gideon cannot give in because his 30 days are not up yet. So, he must remain in control of his lustful feelings.

Will Gideon be able to hold out until the 30 days are up and he is still CEO? Will Leonie make the sale of the yacht and get her commission? And if they give in, will they be able to stop at just one night?

I loved this story and found I could not put it down and finished it in one sitting. It is a fast read that will keep you glued to each page, wanting to know what happens with Gideon and Leonie.

This is a first for me from this author and I can't wait for the next one in this series.

I am delighted that this is the start of a new series – it will be fascinating to watch the Mortimer family members, their conflicts and their loves be revealed over future books. Here we get the story of CEO Gideon.

I really enjoyed being transported to the Mediterranean and experiencing just how the jet-set spend their time and money – and had to chuckle at the 30-day clause that Gideon has signed, and which causes him to have to get creative with Leonie. Because there is no way he cannot be with her... I love the intensity, the lust between these two – it was borne of their anger at love, at betrayal, and at trust. Two beautiful people who seemingly had everything, yet were missing the thing that they wanted the most.

As we get to understand why they have turned their back on love, and how their families have influenced their thoughts and behaviours, we also have to have hope that they will see beyond the immediate issues and open their eyes to new possibilities. I enjoyed getting to see some of the other Mortimers and look forward to finding out how things shape up for some of them in future books.

Who doesn't want to be rich and have it all? But is it worth the risk? A hot story with steaming hot sexual content with a big boat and lots of money. Not being able to touch and find their way into each others....well...each other... threw a fun aspect in the story. The big story is finding your way to forgiveness from a difficult past and putting it where it belongs so one can focus on the future. Always a good trope for me! Great story and great writing made this book fly by and I do suggest it if you are looking for a little steam this time of year!

Oooh, I loved Gideon and Leonie's romance! Their attraction and heat between the sheets was palpable!

Their romance was fan worthy hot, and their banter on point. Worth the Risk was a quick and dirty, flirty read! That I couldn't read fast enough to see what happened with Gideon and Leonie's happily ever after!

The premise has been done before, but this was still fun to read - quick and spicy. Gideon and Leonie had a lot of chemistry and heart.

Worth the Risk is a fast paced story with lots of heat. The main characters were perfect for each other.

"Gideon might be a cocky bastard, but he had the equipment to back it up, and then some."

Zara Cox is one of my auto-click authors. I have loved everything she's written so far. She is a word wizard that knows how to spin a tale featuring broken characters, taking me to the edge with suspense, and then pushing me over with the explosive chemistry.

Gideon is an arrogant asshole who is used to people falling all over themselves to do his bidding. He purposely pushes buttons and when he didn't get the usual response from Leonie he pushed harder. And guess what? She pushed back and it was awesome!

I was excited by the novelty of a chastity contract that's got the CEO manwhore with no way to distract himself from his demons. He's in a very bad mood and she's just the one to give him an attitude adjustment. Woo Hoo! I enjoyed the hell out of watching the sparks fly between these two.

I don't know what the author has planned for her readers next, but this fan is ready for whatever it is. The line forms here...

Gideon and Leonie were so perfect for each other. I was totally in love with them and their story right from the beginning. Hoping Damian gets a book, because I want more of this family.
