So I have never read this author before. NEVER and I have been missing out. THis book was 20 stars, beyond absolutely wonderful. It is a romance between an older couple who are both lawyers and who have loved and lost in the past. They come together over a murder of a friend who was married to Isla's client, TRey, a very famous ex football player. Think OJ and you get the picture.

This story centers on Traumatic Brain Injury and how football players are at risk to it and all the ways it can destroy a life, marriage and family. But can it make you commit murder?

This was a really great romance between, David, the lawyer Isla hires for her client and friend, Trey to defend him and find out who really murdered his wife. Was it the kids? was it Trey? was it a secret lover? There are so many suspects and it made this book so wonderul. I could not stop reading it.

I defnitely am a new fan of this author and I highly recoomend this story.

Great book! I wasn't so sure in the beginning but I'm so glad I stuck it out! It's not my normal type of read! This is David and Isla book, they're both lawyers David is a criminal lawyer and Isla is a lawyer for a famous pro football guy and his whole family, she worked for the football organization that her client used to be on now the client has CTE a football brain injury! David also played back in the day and he has always shied away from love because his fear of getting CTE! The family she represents and is very very close with the ex footballer is accused of killing his wife in a guy of rage from the CTE! It was all very exciting!! A lot of who done it! I definitely enjoyed trying to figure this one out! I'm usually very good at it but this one i didn't see!! Definitely don't miss out on this one!
