I would like to give Star Crossed 5 STARS. I Could not get enough of Caroline & Matt. These Two were Adorable, Sexy and Romantic Couple.
I Highly Recommend it to all Readers. It's A Must Read.
A fast and steamy read!
Its a novella and I did not expect to much but was glad to see it was a good little read.
Rock Star, Virgin Auction and I think you know what comes next.
Summer Reading List!
Whew. How often can one guy say “she’s not like other girls” in one novelette?
The Dirty Bits line is all about a quickly dirty HEA and I guess we got that, but the sex scenes were very short, frequent and not great? IDK, the whole thing fell flat for me.
Also remind me to never read about a sorority again.
I received a copy of this book from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.
I had a bit of a hard time connecting with Matt and Caroline. Matt was very turned off by the sorority auction, yet changed his tune when he realized it was the same girl he'd been fantasizing about. Make up your mind dude. Also on a petty note, I hate his name - Matthewson. I felt like Caroline was all over the place, there was no consistency to her - she's weak, strong, confident, ugly - I have no idea what she really is.
I thought this was a cute story, I liked the chemistry between Caroline and Mathewson (although I'm not a fan of his name). I liked that the sorority had the right idea wanting to help a first responder and his family, but the way they decided to go about helping didn't sit well with me. Why make that particular declaration and pact if you're just gonna auction it away?
I had some trouble connecting with these two in the book.
It was off to a great start with a nasty response from Matt to Caroline's email requesting his band to play for charity. You see, her hope was that getting him to play a concert would get her out of the virginity charity. She was wrong. He was pretty much repulsed by what her sorority was doing. That is, until he realizes it's the same Caroline that sits behind him in Econ class that he's been fantasizing about.
Good story, but probably just too short for me to feel a connection to the characters.
I had to throw in the towel at %35 of this book ; so I did a DNF.
I just couldn't get into this series at all. I felt the characters were all very immature and childish. And the sexy times were a bit predictable and generic. Sorry but it was a no for me.

M/F Virgin story
Caroline and her sorority sisters are auctioning off their virginity to help a local animal shelter and a brother of one of her sorority sisters with the medical bills that are associated with the burns he sustained in the fire. Caroline isn't too keen on doing this, but she also doesn't want to disappoint her sisters. When she sets out to try and raise the money in a different manner, she finds herself confronting the lead of a local band.
Mathewson is also known as Matt. He sees this sorority auction as a joke and essentially writes a scathing email back to Caroline. What he doesn't expect is for her to track him down and completely beguile him.
This is a quick, short story with a few steamy scenes. There are several installments and this is entertaining for a bedtime read.

Caroline is part of the sorority that is holding an auction for the girls’ virtue. Caroline doesn't want anything to do with the auction, so she is going to get the popular campus band to play a benefit concert instead. That doesn't go to well when she gets a return email from the lead singer that is also a rejection.
Matt "Mathewson" James is having a great time in college. He is the lead singer in a band, has a sexy girl in one of his classes he wants to get to know better, and record labels a showing up at their concerts. What could be better? Not the email from the sorority wanting them to do a charity concert when the girls are auctioning off their bodies.
Caroline walks in to where the band is practicing and she can't believe her eyes, it's the guy from her class she dreams about. As Caroline and Matt spend more time together, they realize they are made for each other.
Will Matt and the band do the benefit? What happens to their relationship if the record label makes them a deal? Will Caroline have to auction herself off just to save face with the sorority?
This is a first for me from this author and I enjoyed this story. I loved Caroline and Matt and the way they met. I am looking forward to reading more in this short story series.

Caroline isn't on board with the sorority auction. She is keeping a secret from her sisters. She swore she was a virgin but lied. Now they want her to auction off her nonexistent virginity to help her sorority sister's brother. She wants to help but she's so afraid to be caught in the lie, she needs to find another way to raise the money.
Matt James is the hot lead singer of Punch-Drunk Kids, the hot indie college band. When he receives an email asking to help Beta Kappa Nu, he knows the band can't get behind girls auctioning off their virginity. Then Caroline barges into their practice to ask him about his email reply. Matt knows he's screwed when he sees the email came from the girl he's been crushing on all semester.
Matt and Caroline have instant chemistry. What I didn't expect was the sweetness that comes with Matt's character. This is my first Heather Stone read. I look forward to reading more from this author.
I absolutely love these Dirty Bits books and this one is no different. The characters are going to knock your socks off. Star Crossed is incredible and I just couldn’t stop smiling nor reading whenever these books come out. The series of books just get better and better with every book released. The chemistry is so electric, it flies off the pages. It’s steamy, passionate, and full of deep love. I absolutely loved these books.
And here marks the next series in Carina Press' Dirty Bits. This one is all about a sorority who are a bunch of good and caring girls, only wanting to help one of their sisters as her brother, a fire fighter, was burned in a fire at an animal shelter. To help pay his medical bills as well as help the shelter, these girls are going to auction off their virginity. Yeah, that's right. THEIR VIRGINITY.
Is that even legal? Who cares, right? It's for charity! After I stopped rolling my eyes at the story prompt for these few books, I dug in and read them all in a day. Some better than others. Some of these girls aren't actually virgins, and some of the stories had me cringing. What they didn't have me doing was putting them down.
Yes, they're silly and sort of ridiculous, but I needed the escape they granted me so, here's to Carina Press and their Dirty Bits books. I will always pick them up, no matter what.
Caroline and Mathewson...This was cute in a very sweet way. Clueless girl meets hot guy who fronts a band, and she had no idea he was the guy that sat in front of her in her econ class. They were kind of adorable.
ARC provided via NetGalley in exchange for my honest review.
I liked the premise of the story, but there just wasn't that connection between Caroline and Mathewson just wasn't there for me and with this being a novella it put it in the realm of being just okay instead of one I devoured.
Yep, I'm pretty sure I've read this out of order, but since it reads like a standalone, I think I'm good. Loved this book!!!
Caroline is a member of the sorority that's auctioning off their virginity to help raise money to pay medical bills for a fellow sister's brother. But, there's a catch. She's not a virgin. She lost that to a guy she dated in high who she fell in love with only to be left when he went to college. But since she pledged virginity with her sorority, she feels stuck in the auction. Until she thinks about asking the college hot-as-sin band to help with a charity fundraiser to pay for her part. Yeah, that didn't go quite as planned.
Mathewson is super hot. He's in Caroline's Econ class and has been thinking about her for the entire semester. But when he receives an email from her asking his band to help with a fundraiser, he's taken aback and ends up sending a response that's less pleasant and more insulting. Thankfully, the email didn't piss her off too much, because she shows up at a practice to convince him. I don't think there's much convincing needed though....
I loved this book! Yes, the "storyline" can be a little standoffish. But once you get past all that, the journey to the end is well worth the read. In fact, it leaves you with a HEA with all the feels.

Star Crossed is the fifth book in the Sorority Secrets series. The Sorority Secrets series is an anthology series that surrounds itself around one virginity auction. These tales are just as sweet as they are sexy.
I was intrigued by Star Crossed. I’m a huge fan of the rockstar romance trope so this one immediately fell on my radar.
Mathewson and Caroline’s story is sweet and tempting.
Caroline’s determination to not be a part of the virginity auction was refreshing, especially after the four books that came before this one. So instead of participating in the auction, she decides to track down the hottest band on campus and talk them into playing a benefit concert.
Overall, Star Crossed was a cute read, but sadly I wanted just a little bit more from the characters and the romance. That’s an issue I often have with novella type novels. I love short reads, but I’m often left wanting more from the connections and the chemistry.
This entire Series is an excellent read the story of Caroline and Matthewson - it's sweet, caring and sexy. Caroline is conflicted in Auctioning her "virginity" like the rest of her Sorority Sisters, even if it is for a worthy cause. Matthewson James is in her Econ 101 class and always been very attracted to her. What Caroline doesn't know that Matthewson the man she has crushed overall year is the lead singer in the band she wants to do a charity event instead of having the auction. Will everything works out for them? You have to read it to find out. Great book!
This story was super cute. I didn't love the h but I more than enjoyed the banter between her and Matt. I liked how much she wanted to help her soror sisters and how determined she was NOT to enter the auction. Matt was definitely the star of this little story. Then again, rock stars usually are. But I loved how humble the author made him. He was really sweet and made this story into a great treat!

This is part of a standalone multiauthor event. They are short and typically medium on the heat factor. This is my second book of the series and its book 5. I missed nada! Which is great if you have a favorite author in this series and don’t feel like committing to a large series ( right now it’s a 5 book series and I am unsure if it’s the real end yet ) star crossed brings Caroline running to Mathewson in the hopes she can save her sorority and her virginity. This book occurs a few week prior to a virginity auction. This book wasn’t as well written as book 1 that I read because it did not have the character consistency and it gave you a bit of a whiplash. Caroline is strong, then weak, then confident, then thinks she’s ugly. Mathewson thinks sorority girls are sluts, but falls in love with Caroline after one conversation and they pretty much get physical on their first real conversation together. It’s okay to fall in instalove but I wasn’t really attached to either character. I feel Mathewson could have been an excellent character but he didn’t get the development to help him along. I never connected to Caroline at all.
This is a rock star romance (My weakness)
This a quick and dirty read, a novella.
Great story, really enjoyed it.
This review is based on an ARC I received!
The Dirty Bits Series - Sorority Secrets -
I’ve read a couple of these now and I naturally hate novellas! I personally find them lazy - sorry! 🤷🏼♀️
Having said that, these are just full to the brim with sex and very minimal story - although I have to admit, a lot more story than I originally thought there would be! It’s just super easy to read and fills some time while you’re waiting for dinner to cook or an appointment. There’s definitely no emotion or thought needed from the readers angle.
I read Star Crossed in less than an hour - don’t be alarmed, I don’t read like a maniac, it’s just epically short.
I enjoyed the basis of what the story was - low key rock god VS girl selling her virginity. It was very different to what I would normally read!
The only thing about this that I didn’t like was that it was a novella, but I knew that going in. I think it could easily be turned into something fabulous, but I still have to give 4 stars! The sex was great, only the story lacked a little too much.
Quick and dirty read.
Its A Novella so I had not expected anything spectacular here, but I was pleasantly surprised by Star-Crossed.
This one is a rock star romance. The really popular thing right now.
Characters were Good and managed to keep my interest during The read. Even when sometimes it seemed to be one dimensional A Little.
I liked That in Sorority Secrets we got Also something else - not only auctions ;)
First time reading a Heather Stone story. I had a good time with the book considering is short and little cliché, but I'm still happy that I've got the chance to read it.
Matt and Caroline, are a good combo as a couple in this book. A good student and a lead on an up and going places band. I think that they developed in a way that made me believe in them more, for some reason, it felt kind of realistic at times like it was possible that this happened in real life somewhere.
The writing was simple, no complicated wording and no complicated plot. It was straight to the point and even with that in mind, I had a good time. I didn't find any grammar errors which was even better. The flow of the story was ongoing, no problems there either.
My only thing with the story is that it was a little repetitive, only because I've read a couple of books about this kind of trope and it gets a little cliché after a time or two in consecutive books. Also, I've read this Sorority Secrets Series almost back to back and I don't think it's meant to be read like that *smiles*
I would recommend this book if you like virgin romance, rock stars, short story romances, and a good dose or sexy time with your romance.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book provided by Netgalley. The opinions expressed are my own.
