A brutally, beautifully honest book. Kerryan is dying of cancer and has asked husband mark to write her memoir- moments of humour mixed in, this was poignant and precious.
Thanks to both NetGalley and Text Publishing for giving me the opportunity to read ’Thirty Days by Mark Raphael Baker’ in exchange for my honest unbiased review.
This is a memoir about from the point of view of both Mark and his wife Kerryn. Kerryn is dying of cancer and she has asked her husband to write a story about her life.
As I was expecting this was beautifully written, tasteful. Yet it is also heartbreaking as the book is based on her life and the reason behind it being written.
A memoir centred on the author's grief at losing his wife to stomach cancer and his thoughts on their marriage.
This is a beautifully tragic biography about a life of love and one that was sadly taken by cancer. I enjoyed this and found it deeply moving. I would recommend it.
I would like to thank Netgalley and the publisher for providing me with a review copy. This is my honest and unbiased opinion of it.
