A second chance romance that also deals with California firefighting. Hank left Lana ten years ago but has never forgotten her and now they are together in the same town, will the flame stay between them this time? A good book.

I cannot get enough of this author and this series! Each book is an intense emotional and SEXY storyline that grabs you right from the start keeping you engrossed and on edge throughout the whole book!

Decent story, but I was hoping for more from Hank's and Lana's story. I didn't totally buy them as a couple, as it seemed like Hank had one foot ready to roll out at a moment's notice

Hank returned to a town that he left behind. Ten long years have passed and there are times it feels just like yesterday. He feels responsible for the death of his best friend and had never spoken those words to anyone. It is driving a wedge into his soul as he constantly lives in the past unable to go forth in the future. Lana has forgiven him for leaving but can no longer stand beside him as he continues to break her heart. Will Hank finally see reason or will they both be doomed to live without the love they share together. Great continuation of the series.

This was another Leslie North ARC I picked up that I haven't read the first two books in this series but had no trouble reading this as a stand alone. A second chance love story that I really enjoyed. I am definitely going to read the first 2 books in the series!

This series just keeps getting better with each new book and this is a fabulous way to end another fantastic series by this amazing and talented author. This story was well written with characters that are well developed and you can really relate with them throughout the story. They had amazing chemistry and it really flows through the pages as you read. I just loved this series and is one of my favourites by this author. Definitely will be reading all 3 books again in the future and I can’t wait to see what series she brings out next. Absolutely recommend all 3 books to all book lovers out there

I enjoyed this series. I was looking forward to Lana & Hanks story. I would’ve liked more backstory with Lana’s brother. Hank was in jail? Think that should’ve been mentioned earlier.

I liked it but did have some problems with it, like the fact that Lane was willing to let Hank go without letting him know he was about to become a father that is not cool like at all. These two had some rough times and they missed many opportunities when they should have just sat down and communicated it would have enlightened many misconceptions.

The final instalment in the wildfire series follows chief Hank and his first love Lana. He walked away from her ten years earlier and their feelings just won’t go away. He tries to stay and walks away again and again leaving her confused and broken. Another great read!

Thank you to netgalley and the publishers for this arc in exchange for my honest review.

BURNING FLAME by LESLIE NORTH is a FIREFIGHTER and second chance romance! I really enjoyed the story and found myself yelling at the characters. Once I started the book I couldn't put it down and read until 2:30 a.m. Definitely an author I'll be on the lookout for!

Witty, fun, sexy and engaging romantic adventure filled with emotional ups and downs and one sweetly thrilling second chance at true love..... This was a quick read that I could not help but devour in one hot night... loved it!

A second chance story filled angst, secrets, and heartache. The story itself was a quick read, there were just too many things that bothered me about the plot for me to give it more than three stars:

*Hank running hot and cold with Lana...he was acting more like the teenager he was when he and Lana were last together
*Lana jumping right back into bed with Hank, so second thoughts, regardless of how he left her ten years ago. The numerous times he said he was leaving then turned around and came back, she feel right back into bed with him
*Lana keeping her pregnancy from Hank, finding numerous excuses not to tell him. Neither one of them thought about using protection, and Lana just remembering they didn’t until after she’s pregnant. That’s a teenager’s mentality.
*During the fire, Hank and Lana are fighting on her front lawn while a blaze is nearly on top of them. Hank is a fire chief, shouldn’t his first concern be to physically remove Lana, not let her over take him so she can fight her leaving just to make a point. No thought to her baby while she’s breathing the smoke from the fire.

I enjoyed the first two books in the series, this last one just fell short.

This ARC book was complimentary, provided by the Publisher and NetGalley. I am voluntarily providing my honest review.

Hank and Lana's story is the perfect end to a three book series. Hank is hard to really like and very gruff but underneath his love for Lana is true.

If you are looking for a quick afternoon read, this book is for you.

4.5 Stars The third and final book in the Californian Wildfire Fighters series we have Hank and Lana’s story. I have been looking forward to this one and was not disappointed. A second chance romance with emotion, angst and amazing character. I loved the epilogue I felt it wrapped the series beautifully. I will be recommending this book and series to readers

This is a voluntary review of an advanced copy.

Finally, it is Hank and Lana's turn. There has been little interaction between the two in previous books so we finally see them together.

While I enjoyed the story, I was really disappointed in their story or I guess Hank's avoidance of discussing the reason he left with Lana. It just doesn't make sense that he blames himself for her brother's death so he is not worthy of her so he left her. So, if he "knew" that he could not be with her then why not tell her why? If she knew the reason at least she could make her own decision and if she did find him guilty, then left him, it is no different than him leaving her.

I am also annoyed with Lana that after ten years and no explanation, she jumps in bed with Hank.

At the end, Hank finally grew a pair and talked to Lana and they finally get their HEA!

This is Lana an Hanks story even though it can be read as a stand alone you will get far more by reading the complete set. We here about Lana and Hank in the first book and I have been anxiously awaiting there story and now I have it. Hank and Lana where the perfect couple everybody thought they would always be together but life got in the way. Now Hank has returned after 10 years and after seeing his friends get there HEA he is willing to fight for his. Things may not go smoothly but they will fight to get the HEA they deserve.

I think this was my favourite. You can’t beat a second chance romance but something about Hank just made me love him. The story of why he left was also believable and you can understand why he did what he did. Another great story.

The final book in this short series - this one is the story of Lana and Hank.
Enjoyable read, and I especially lked that there was an epilogue that wrapped up the story of this and the other books in the series.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from NetGalley and I am voluntarily reviewing it.

This is the last book of the series and it was fantastic. I just loved reading about these man and their ladies (I kinda wished Garrett had a story though.) I loved the book being written with a dual POV. It really helps me to understand and identify with the characters. Hank and Lana were childhood sweethearts and after ten years and a wild firestorm later, are getting to their HEA. I just loved the epilogue in this story. I really tied up the series quite nicely. A great job.

I highly recommend this book (the entire series really) to anyone who loves to read first responder (firefighter) romances.
