I received a copy of this from the publisher via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

This was an ok read for me. I have to admit that I expected a bit more. I had the mystery solved about halfway through the book and I found it a bit predictable. I was also hoping for more romance and character development.

Like I said, just ok, but I'd pick up another one to see if I liked it better.

Slightly predictable but an enjoyable read nonetheless. I enjoy stories about twins, and inheriting a house in a small town has always been a favorite plot for me so this ticked both of those boxes. No surprises or twists but a solid little story which meandered along to a satisfying conclusion.

Thank you to Netgalley, the Publisher and the author, for the opportunity to read this book in return for my honest opinion and review.

The cover for this book caught my attention and then the blurb drew me in. This was the first book I have read by this author and I am sure it will not be my last.

Kathryn Dorne has always wondered who her father was, and it was a topic her mother would not discuss with her. Not long after her mother's death, she receives a letter regarding her father's Will and she travels to Half Moon Lake and discovers that everything she knew about herself has been a lie, including her name, which is actually Katelyn Eubanks. She also discovers that she is the sole heir to her father's estate, much to the chagrin of the other family members. As she tries to sort our who she is and what happened to her in the past, we meet the townspeople and discover this small town has secrets, can Kathryn find the answers she seeks before these secrets bring about her ruin? What about the nightmares she has had since she was a child and her uncommon irrational fears, can she find the reason behind these and heal herself?

I liked the relationships between the characters and the development of the storyline. I liked that the author also gave us the recipes at the end of the book for the southern delicacies that were served in the book. Overall, an enjoyable story.

Suspense, romance are both part of the twisting plot.. It is a fast moving mystery which grabs hold and keeps your attention which is what I look for in a book. You will not be disappointed with this authors latest novel

Half Moon Lake gives readers a chance to solve a mystery at the same time the lead characters is solving my mystery. The story has it moments of dragging a little slowly though the book but picks up quickly and before the reader can stop the story, mystery is all tied up in a nice little bow.
The mystery is interesting enough to keep readers reading and might have a few more who will jump into the next book in the series. This reader will have to see what the next story has before she is willing to place bets on this author.
Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher The Wild Rose Press, Inc for a copy of Leanna Sain Half-Moon Lake
