When I first read the summary of this book, I wasn’t sure what I would find — but was then pleasantly surprised by the fresh characters and fantastical approach Tom Simmons took. Really, really cool reading.

Very interesting book. It's about dragonfly society. One group the Hawkers are tainted with a mysterious corruption and are fighting the Salix society. Dax a scribe wishes he was part of the warrior caste. Then the fun starts....I really enjoyed the book by Simmons. Hats off to Simmons for his creativity. I am waiting for the sequel.

The Jracon's Burden by Tom Simmons, A nicely written fantasy. Feels almost YA but not quite, more a coming-of-age story of a young Jracon that finds responsibility thrust upon him and cut off from all help. If you need a good distracting read, this is it.
