I had a hard time reading this book. Mainly because it has too many characters - it's hard to keep track who is who and I don't feel attached to any of the characters. The storyline is confusing and there are times I feel that it does not make any sense.
I was so excited to get this book from NetGalley and I wanted to love it, I really did, but unfortunately it just wasn't for me. I couldnt get into the dialogue in the beginning. I apologize for not finishing it and I wish the author nothing but good luck and success for this book.
I do have to say the cover is awesome!
Thank you NetGalley, the publisher and the author for my free ARC in exchange for my honest review. Out of respect for the author and his ratings for this book, I will not post this to Goodreads because I do not think it is fair since I didnt finish it and cant fairly rate/review it.
Kessy Lane is solid in terms of characterization and tension. Goebel uses description and dialogue to tell an active story that is ideal for thriller and mystery fans. An enjoyable reading experience.
I floundered through most of this. I was expecting s mystery but it was a hodgepodge of opinions and thoughts. There were so many points of view that I couldn’t connect with any of the characters and quite frankly didn’t care what happened to them. I almost gave up part way through but kept going, hoping some huge revelation would occur but alas, it did not happen.
Just when you think you know or understand everything you just might realize you were wrong. Who is the mystery, what is the mystery? Is the picture really telling the story? This is a book full of twists, turns, hopes, mystery and so many questions. I enjoyed reading this book and moving from page to page quickly so I was able to reach the answers.
Kessy Lane by Don R. Goebel is a Young Adult mystery book. Friends spend a weekend in a cabin on a lake. When 21 year old Kessy goes missing, her brother and friends try and solve the mystery of her disappearance. This book was very interesting it has so many twists and turns. It also had a very unique plot line. It took me awhile to sort out all the characters, I found it a little confusing. I recommend this book for people looking for a unique thriller.
I received an ARC copy of this book from the author for an honest review.
I really enjoyed the long slow ride, and the search foe Kessy that uproots so much more in the lives of her friends, her disappearance into the fog is almost forgot, Even photos aren't much help.... Great story, diverse characters and a slow burning ride. Highly recommended.
Thanks to #NetGalley for sharing this book.

Kessy Lane by Don R. Goebel is a great psychological thriller that pulls no punches. A group of friend on a weekend getaway in a cabin in the woods....yes, please!
Told in three different voices, this book provides the right amount of twists and turns that will keep even a seasoned thriller reader entertained.
Thanks to netGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read and review this book.
After reading the synopsis I knew this book would be one that I would enjoy. For the most part, I did like it. However, I found it to be a bit scattered. I had a hard time keeping up with the characters.
Just started this book and had to give up after reading 3 chapters. It reads like it started in the middle of the book and in all honesty, its all over the place. There is way too much going on and so many characters that I'm having trouble keeping up. If you can figure out who is who and what is going on, more power to you. A book this unorganized is just not for me.
