This author is really great. I really loved this book. This tale was highly engrossing and highly recommendable!!
Unfortunately this book was not for me, it was a bit slower than I would like and it just didn't hold my attention. I am sure other people will love it!
Omg talk about a roller coaster read wow this book kept me on the edge of my seat threw out I just couldn't put it down this writer keeps you hooked and once your hooked your not letting go I found this book thrilling the characters were fantastic and well thought out and the little clues all the way threw keep you guessing until the end this book stays with you long after you close the book this book is well worth the read I promise you wont be disappointed
This book was definitely a page-turner. I just wanted to keep reading to see what happened; I don’t feel like it stalled at any point.
My biggest issue was that the main character often made decisions I felt were unrealistic. I couldn’t get behind some of the choices she made while her child was in the hospital. I don’t want to give anything away but her actions just didn’t sit right with me.
The author did keep me intrigued and I would definitely read more by them in the future. This particular book just wasn’t for me.
I can't believe it took me so long to read this! From the first page I was reeled in and it was one hell of a ride that left me breathless!
The authors ability to keep you so enthralled is a gift, and I will be reading this author again. As a mother this book left my mind reeling and pulled at my heart and all my emotions. The book moves at a great pace, and flows through to the end brilliantly.
The book starts off with one tragedy, namely the poor sick child, but then more and more revelations come through and you just don't know what to believe anymore! This was a very well-written book, and worth the time and effort! Recommended.
New author for me but pleasantly surprised. Thank you for the approval and look forward to a book relationship with other reads in the future,
I wasn't sure at first whether I was going to like this book as I found it a bit slow to start with, even once the real plot began. It did pick up massively though and I really got drawn into it. Raced through it after that!
Thankyou to NetGalley, Relay publishing and the author, Jo Crow, for the opportunity to read a digital copy of The Found Child in exchange for an honest, unbiased opinion.
This was one thriller of a novel. From the opening pages, the storyline grabs you and refuses to let go. I was up into the early hours to finish this book. Will be reading more from this author in the future.
Definitely worth a read.
With thanks to Netgalley and the publishers for the book in exchange for an honest review.
At times I felt the story was over complicated but then it is fiction. It was an interesting read and well written.
I found this book enthralling and slightly confusing at times. It is a great thriller that makes question what you have read and wonder what the real story is. I found towards the end of the book that things got tied up too neatly and quickly. However I would still recommend this book to others.
This was a great read. The story developed into a direction that I didn't see coming. The story was engaging and kept me reading, and guessing to the end.
This book has more twists and turns than Lombard Street in San Francisco. Every time I thought I had things figured out, there was another twist. I loved this book. I could not put it down. The characters were well-developed and interesting. The storyline was realistic and engaging. I’m sure I’ll read this book again.
A read that grabbed me at the start and spat me out spent at the end, a very interesting twisty story, brought satisfactory to an end

4 stars.
I thoroughly enjoyed this! The whole way through it had my attention right up to the very end! I love when you come across such a good story as this was. The whole not knowing what was going to come next made it such a fun and enjoyable read. Plus the ending did not disappoint. I liked the way the author had written it and it completed the book nicely. I would definitely recommend this for lovers of mystery, Thriller and just great stories. Happy reading everyone.
First, I want to thank Jo Crow, Relay Publishing Edition, and NetGalley for providing me with this book.
The Found Child by Jo Crow was the most heart wrenching story that no parent should have to go through. Not to mention all the emotional twists and turns that this book took you on. Jo had you one minute feeling empathy for the parents and then the next questioning them. However, the whole book you wanted to hold Jake tight and tell him everything was going to be ok.
Jo Crow is in my eyes an incredible Psychological Thriller writer and I would definitely read and review from her again. This story from the very beginning kept my interest and intrigued me til the end. This story was like any other story you will read. It involves a past abduction of Jake, they did their time and now they are out of jail, School Nurse notices bruises on Jake, Jake finds out he has Leukemia, Neither parent is the right blood type. Why could that be??
The surprises and shocks just kept coming in this psychological thriller. Elaine Jennson hears that her son Jake's kidnapper was released from prison just before getting a terrifying diagnosis- Jake has leukemia. She and husband Nathan get tested to see if they're a match for bone marrow and the results threaten to destroy their family. And to top it off, someone is following her..
It's really hard to write a description for this book without ruining any of the plot twists. It's such a great story that kept me wondering what could possibly happen next! Thank you to Jo Crow and NetGalley for the chance to review this book.
What if your child disappeared but the child that is returned to you isn't actually your child? That is exactly what happens to Elaine Jennson. After a scary incident of postpartum depression, Elaine's son, Jake is kidnapped and shortly after found and returned to Elaine and her husband. However, a few years later, Jake needs a bone marrow transplant, and it turns out that neither Elaine nor her husband could possibly be the biological parent of Jake. So where is the real Jake and who is the child Elaine has been raising? This book is so full of twists and turns, you'll never be able to see where the story is going. From start to finish it's one heck of an exciting ride, and you won't be able to put it down.
What a heartwrenching read. Jo Crow really knows how to tug on a mother's heartstrings. I know it was necessary for the plot to move forward, but I was really annoyed when Elaine would leave the hospital. I don't think anything would induce me to leave my child. But then the reader would never have answers. Crow does a good job of keeping things moving and making everything plausible. I recommend to anyone who loves a good suspense.
WOW! I just finished this book and I can't believe what I just read! This book was full of twists and turns from the start and I simply didn't want to put it down! The author knows how to grab the reader's attention and keep it until the very last page.
The book starts with Detective Aaronson who has the difficult task to tell parents that their child has not been found and the trail has gone cold.
Elaine and Nathan find out their son, Jakob, has leukaemia and might need a bone marrow transplant. The secrets then starts to come out from there. Eight years ago, Jake was supposedly abducted and returned a few months later. The bone marrow results show that neither of his parents are his biological parents.
I loved the author's writing style and loved that the chapters where short and to the point. It was my first book from Jo Crow but I will definitely be reading her other books!
